We all know college is hard; if it were easy, everyone would have a degree and no one would ever ask for help. But here at Crafton Hills College, tutors are available to help out students in any way, so that those who struggle can do well and be successful. These mentors don't just lecture, they take the time to make sure students understand and comprehend what is being taught. Tutors are at hand for a variety of subjects, some have appointments for one on one time and others are for use at one's convenience. The best part is, students don't have to search for a tutor, or post flyers saying "HELP NEEDED." CHC has a Tutoring Center, completely free, which is easy to find and a...show more content... Besides the Tutoring Center, the library is also very resourceful and entirely useful. It's filled with computers, private rooms, a small auditorium, a copy room and thousands of books (which are found on the top floor of the LRC). Writing tutors will encourage students to visit the library, especially when it comes to research papers. Now, continuing on to the Tutoring Center, a few more steps and you have reached a set of stairs that lead downward. Down these twenty or so steps is the Tutoring Center. After reaching the bottom, there is a small doorway to the left and a sign that says "Welcome to the Tutoring Center!", as a confirmation that one is indeed in the right place. The Tutoring Center is a large rectangle shaped room, with small separate glass enclosed rooms around the edges. The rooms on the left and right are offices of some professors an instructors, while the back wall has some small rooms for study groups and private tutoring lessons, with one very large room painted bright yellow. A front desk is located to the immediate right once entered. Here is where anyone can receive information about the Tutoring Center and view waiting lists for certain subject tutors; flyers and booklets are also free to take. The center of the room has two long tables with twenty computers on both sides for student use, and on each side of those tables are four small square tables with four chairs each for groups or alone work. Descriptive Essay On A Trip
The art studies–at–large trip has been a once in a lifetime trip. From a twenty–four hour plane trip with a stop in Chicago and time zone change, it has been an exhausting yet enjoyable time running around with my classmates in the airport. Being in a different country and experiencing a new culture first hand was astonishing and gave me a new outlook of the beauties in the world. From Montone, Florence, Venice, andRome I had the ultimate trip in Italy. The food, language, and culture were different from what I was used to but it was worth the experience. I was not fond of drinking wine with every dinner though the wine was delicious. I had the best pastas, tiramisus, and coffees while I was in Italy. The art was beautiful; it was breathtaking to see how many free artworks was there for the public. After being in Italy for about a month I can see why people are attracted and want to live in Italy. Montone is a beautiful, peaceful, and friendly town. I enjoyed the walk to town, the covenant, Aries CafГ©, the tavern restaurant, and the town's people. I had the best cappuccino and coffee at Aries and I loved every dish I ate at the tavern restaurant. The view from the covenant was beautiful and works perfectly for a painting. Getting around town was easy with everyone being so nice and helpful. The piazza was a great place to hang out because of friendly the environment was and it was the main spot in town where everyone stayed. Getting a chance to draw Italy's million Get more content
I walk towards my mom's white toyota where my mom waits for me. She has a grim expression on her face but at the moment I don't notice it. I collapse into the passenger seat and look behind me to see that my sister wasn't here today. I assume that her friends mom picked her up from school that day as my mom drives out of the school parking lot. "How was your day?" despite her gloomy mood she fights to keep a smile and start our day to day conversations where we wrap up our days on the way back home. Still oblivious to what's going on I answer with complaints about the day not going fast enough for my liking. My mom just listens to me patiently, which is unlike her since she usually throws in her own comments every now and then. We already arrive to our apartment complex and we walk towards our door and inside i'm greeted with my moms friend that I usually don't see often. Surprised I greet her and my excited younger sister glad to have us back home. "How are you?" My moms friend asks and i quickly search through my memories to remember her name. "I'm good, Geri thank you" I answer back politely and take a seat next to her on the couch rather than do my usual after school routine. Geri and have small talk till my mom joins us and takes over the conversation. I notice that they are speaking to each other on soft tones not the usual type of conversation that my mom has with her friends that often everyone laughing and speaking loudly to each other. Geri soon decides to

Me Myself and Personality Traits When asked to describe myself I never know what to say, but I should know myself the best, right? I like to look at myself as a genuine, thoughtful young lady. I'm a hard worker; I believe nothing is ever handed to you so you have to go get it. I worked hard to get to this point of my life and working even harder to get to the successful and graduate part of my life. I care more for some others than I do myself but I have a huge nonchalant attitude. I don't really show anger or sadness much I always smile because I'm optimistic about life. I look at life as if something bad comes along, no need to dwell on it you can't take it back so just move–on and improve what you did wrong if it's possible....show more content...
I was taught to be caring and thoughtful; I wasn't taught anything else from anyone other than not to trust people. I'm the odd ball of my family because I am nothing like anyone. I can say I was also taught to believe in myself and never down myself because I can accomplish anything. That is shown through my determination and hard work because if I didn't believe in myself I wouldn't try as hard. Last but not all, Humanistic approach sums up my personality a little more than psychodynamic does because it involves nature vs. nurture and that kind of sums it up just saying that. Environment and Heredity is kind of the main reasons of my attitudes and actions. In the article, Time–Limited Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Briggs conducts different forms of psychotherapy techniques to prove whether things in an adolescent's life effect different adolescents differently. His study was a success and proved that many adolescents have different interpretations on the same issue. He read them off different problems and wanted to see how they would interpret them. He used children in the age groups of 12–17 and it worked out. I think that the different approaches can be brought together in some circumstances but in my case it doesn't. My personality makes more sense coming from the humanistic approach. Briggs, Stephen (2010). Time–Limited Psychodynamic Psychotherapy for Adolescents and Young Adults. Essay on Me Myself and Personality Traits
Descriptive Essay Final The downtown metropolis can be a complex place, and some may need to become accustomed to it. It is Five O' Clock in the afternoon. The sun is starting to drag itself lower, dimming the landscape, leaving a majestic orange on the horizon. The towering structures above leave enormous shadows on the people below. Car horns ring and sirens pulse, as the people make haste towards there destinations, rushing aggressively as if though it is a race. The end of the work day has just began. The craze is unique from anywhere else. An endless flow of people and vehicles seem to liter the area. A man can be seen making his way towards a small parking lot. The parking lot has not been taken care of for some time. Potholes...show more content...
Lush, green trees are everywhere. Every house and small business seems to have one or two of them. The car makes it's way down a small street, with old fashioned houses. The car comes to a halt in front of a beautiful tan house. The house feels cozy. The tan painted planks of wood stack up until they reach the charcoal shingles of the rooftop. Two enormous windows are on the front of the house, with fine, white curtains that can be seen hanging from them on the other side. On the left side of a house there is a large chimney, which gives the house a traditional look with it's brown and red bricks. In the front yard of the house there is a smooth, clean concrete walkway to the front door, surrounded by many bushes, and flowers; trimmed perfectly. This house is well kept, and it stands out as a beauty in the neighborhood. The man walks up his paved walkway, and into the house through a large white door, with four small windows on it, and a cross like pattern beneath them. The doors gives of the look as if it is an entryway to heaven. The house is peaceful. Only the birds chirping in the trees can be heard. And as the man enters his house excited children raise there voices, "Daddy Daddy!". This family man is

I really don't care for this time of year. It's muddy, rainy, cold, warm, snow, sleet, sunny dry.You name it and we get it. Take yesterday it was sunny and 71 out . Loved it. Now today it's 45 and raining. Hate it. But that is what you get living in S.E. Indiana. I still think sometimes about going back to the Ice especially back to the South Pole. I seen last week the last plain out happened for the winter–overs. Unless you experienced it. To stand at the South Pole ice runway and watching the last C–130 to leaving knowing your stuck there and no help is going to come if something happens and the nearest so called civilization is 1000 miles away you really have no Idea what its like or what you are thinking at the time. The ice especially the Pole it get into your blood and it seem there is always that yearning to return. Well at least for me. I try and keep busy doing things that need to get done. Well not really the need. There are some days I do nothing. And those days, usually happen this time of year. Take for example, I was given a 42 flat screen TV about two weeks ago. Oh, I had all the good intentions of using it and still do, but it is still sitting in the same spot I set it two weeks ago. Why. Because I really don't care to watch TV and my vintage stereo equipment is sitting where I was going to put the TV. I rather listen to the stereo than the TV. Oh I will eventually move the stereo equipment into my back bedroom which is 20 X20. I will kind of partition it off and kind of make a man cave out of the one side. I have the desk built and the new computer built. Still need to make a kind of display set up for some of my old school things I have. Such as my old CB stuff I still have from the 70's a couple of vintage radios. >Crosley brand, And other things I collected over the years and kept. I even have my drum sticks from the 6 grade when I wanted to Get more content

My Personal experiences with Racism Racism has always been a big topic in society, even during Jesus Christ time. I believe racism comes from independent thinking and views and how this view from family, friends and society forms us each day. Racism has to do a lot with social status, money, power, looks, sex and much more. Coming from a third world country I can really see the major differences of racism how they vary by culture and education. My experience in the United States as a young boy has formed my racism definition and view of society in general. One of the biggest influences in my life is my father name Evaristo Navarro in terms of racism, he came from an era where marrying a...show more content...
The guy uncle was a war veteran and he was constantly harassed by the young Puerto Rican kids in the neighborhood until they saw he was crazy and did not care if he had to take one of them out. I had another Italian–Irish friend and he told me in his block they would try to mess with him and some people would call him racial slurs while growing up in the Fordham section of the Bronx and he had to earn his respect. I worked as a paper boy and every time I was distributing paper there would be some Black folks and some young guys and the young guys would look at me and say look at that f.... white boy. I felt insulted because I am not white and I felt sorry for those kids because that was really ignorant of them to just talk about someone they do not even know, don't know my background nor culture. I thought New York City was bad when it came to racism until I moved to Cleveland Ohio. One day I was walking to my job in down town Cleveland when 5 hill billies across the street were kicking garbage cans and when they saw me they were like hey look at that spic and I just stare right at them waiting because I thought they were going to head my way but I thank god that they kept going another way. Another time I was walking on the Eastside of Cleveland and two kids saw me and they were pointing at me saying hey look that's a spic. I looked at them and I was shocked how can 2 little kids the ages of about 11 and 12 talk with such racist
