The Shepherds Bugle is the voice of Shepherds Without Borders Lighthouse Ministries; which comes out once monthly to highlight messages, news, visions, projects, strength & weakness of the United Body of the Kingdom of God. Inspired Shepherds come together monthly to write message etc for the community of God chosen. Every shepherd chosen, charged, and called by God (YHWH) to care for His flocks is officially a member. Shepherds serve as an ambassadors of the Kingdom of God , advocates for petitioning God for mankind, administrators for the handling and distributing the truth of God's Word and they need a watch tower on the hilltop to help them not to crash against the stones of temptations placed in their path by the Devil.
This magazine is the shepherds’ consultant for wisdom and direction when it comes to how the work of the Kingdom of God is being carried out in different places around the world. It is also a confronter of the evil practices that are carried out in the name of the kingdom of God. It is no respecter of any particular doctrine, tradition, color, language, social status, or geographical locations. It is the voice for the united kingdom of God's body of workers in the vineyard here on earth. This magazine is the discussion leader of any topic concerning the kingdom of God and the warfare of God's people. Here you will see and post the work you do for the kingdom; however it should be clear that every work you
see here is the responsibility/views of the writer who placed it there and not always necessarily the views of everyone. It is a medium to serve as an encourager for the shepherds around the world who are striving to get the truth of God's Word out even at a risk to their own families and lives. As a spotlight, we intend to also serve as a ground inspector of the work of every ministry we can and highlight their strengths and weaknesses. Shepherds, we say a big welcome to you and your flocks. Let this place be a companion and knowledge dispenser, a place where you can rest and discover your God given talents, your historian where you can view the past and log the present, the nurturer of your visions, your opportunities spotter, and critic.
I know many times when you are in the wrong and we speak about it, you might be hurt, go home and pray about it, and please come for a second look. Partake and make this place a home away from home. Make this place a secret corner for airing your views and questions that have been bothering you for a long time. Please allow Shepherds Bugle to help you develop your ministries and broken lives. WOMEN OF PURPOSE INTERNATIONAL NETWORK BY REV. STELLA EBEGBUNA
Women of Purpose International Network (WOPIN) is a registered non-profit Christian organization. The organization was started in 1999 by Rev Stella Ebegbuna. Due to the volume of appointments for counseling that Rev Stella was getting and invitations from different places asking her to speak to women, she prayed about what to do and the Lord Jesus showed her that: WOMEN NEED THE GOSPEL: Women currently account for about half of the total world population. They need need to hear the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. WOMEN HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE ON GOD'S HEART: The Lord has a special plan for women. Women need to understand why they were created, their potential, purpose and place in the body of Christ and the world at large.
WOMEN HAVE PECULIAR NEEDS: Women of all nations have spiritual, physical and emotional needs. They face some challenges and needs that are quite different from those of men. Women need to know that there are solutions to their problems in Christ Jesus. WOMEN NEED TO GROW SPIRITUALLY: Women need to develop dedication, devotion, discipline and direction for living. SEVERAL WOMEN ARE FRUSTRATED BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT FULFILLING THEIR DIVINE PURPOSE: The Holy Spirit has been poured out on all flesh (bothmen and women) for service. She shared the vision with her husband and then with women in the church where she pastored. The first breakfast meeting of Women of Purpose was held in Lagos, Nigeria in March 1999. It was a huge success and several women om different denominations indicated their desire to be a part of the ministry. Since then the ministry has continue to flourish and grow and Women of Purpose International Network currently have chapters in different nations in Africa, USA and Europe. The purpose of this organization/ministry is to raise up women from every nation and background, who are dedicated to Jesus Christ, conforming into His image, filled with the Holy Spirit, and fulfilling Divine purpose in their sphere of influence.
Rev Stella Ebegbuna: From an Islamic background. She was the first person to become a believer in over ten generations on both sides of her family tree. She experienced a lot of persecution and opposition and discovered the true value of the church (the new family that God gives to every believer). With over 20 years experience in full time church planting, Pastoring and Christian ministry; Rev Stella has a strong passion for prayer, reaching the unsaved, raising up leaders, and mentoring people from every sphere of life. She delights in seeing people reach their full potential in God and believes strongly that everyone is valuable. Rev Stella Ebegbuna is also the Vice President of Firebrand International Gospel Missions and Vice President of Tree of Life International Churches. She along with her husband, Apostle John Ebegbuna has apostolic oversight over several churches which they have planted all over Africa. THE WOMAN OF PURPOSE A Woman of Purpose is a woman who has a new birth relationship with Jesus and through this relationship she is able to find her true identity and worth. A Woman who because of who she is in Christ is committed to her God given mandate. The name of the ministry is taken from the story of Esther. " ......who knoweth thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this.(Esther 4:14) Esther was a Jewess (A child of God based on covenant relationship) in a strange land. She got to the highest post obtainable to a woman in her days (married to the king of Babylon), a woman of prayer and action. She was ready to risk all to fulfill her God given goal and objective. She allowed herself to be used of the Lord to turn around the captivity of His people. Secondly, the word 'Network' reflects our basic organizational structure. We are women of many cultures, races and denominations joined together by our commitment to a specific purpose in Christ Jesus.
Our Aims and Objectives

The Wail Of A Woman- Only A Cry That GOD Can Hear BY ELDER PAMELA R. RICHARDS
ur news today is filled with constant reports of catastrophic events throughout the nations. In the midst of the continual reports of disasters all O over the world, relationships, family units, ministries, and souls are succumbing daily to the tricks of the enemy. What can we attribute to the cause of the multiplicity of deaths in relationships, family units, ministries and souls? No doubt, many Christians still standing today would venture to say, that we are experiencing numerous deaths in our institutions because many have no reverence or fear of GOD. Or, it may be said by the masses, that not enough people are praying.
In the era of Jeremiah 9, women handpicked by GOD were not only called to pray over the dead, but they were called to wail. What does it mean to wail? According to wordnetweb.princeton.edu, wailing means to emit long, loud cries. The women of this era were skilled at wailing over the dead. Just as GOD called the women of these communities to wail in Jeremiah 9, now is an opportune time for women throughout this world to sound their trumpets before GOD through their wailing. This wail emitted by women of GOD is not just an ordinary prayer that is appreciated or understood by man. No, in fact, only GOD can interpret the internal groanings released by His "daughters of Zion.” The women have been afforded a unique opportunity to connect with GOD on the behalves of people and situations that have been rendered lifeless. Women of GOD, in order for the dead marriages to live again, we must release that cry from deep within before our GOD! In order for the family unit to be revived again, we women need to wail before GOD! In order for ministries to be revitalized, we women need to wail before GOD! Jeremiah 9:19 declares, "For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion…” As the women gathered together to wail, their cries were heard by GOD. If we as women are going to gather, it cannot be for idle chatter! Many lives are depending on women with a tear in their "guts,” to cry out in a voice that can be heard and understood by GOD. Release a cry before Him women that says, "My son or daughter’s soul is in jeopardy, and a change must take place!” Release a cry before Him that says, "Marriages in this community are failing, and we demand a turnaround!” Release a cry before Him that says, "Churches are in trouble, and we beseech You to show up in Your temple again!” In sum, women are ordained by GOD to be conduits of new life, and therefore, in this hour, our cry is pivotal to marriages, families, ministries, and souls being restored, or even resuscitated. The sooner we cry out, the sooner our voices can be heard, and only by Him. Cry aloud, and spare not O daughters of the Most High GOD! Elder Pamela R. Richards, Interim Pastor Beulah Baptist Church, Baldock, South Carolina
A REFLECTION OF YOUR HEART : BY Apostle Jonetta Henry-McClure
One that is hidden in Christ, will not have a spirit of retaliation when they believe one has offended them. They will however, be found fasting and praying over the situation. Your open presentation, verbal and physical, shows what you do behind closed doors. When Saul began to oppress David, smear his name and try to kill him, David did not waste his time on him. When given the opportunity to kill Saul, he refused to stain his image or touch the anointing rather chose to cut his skirt. He even repented of that. David was a man of prayer and one after God's own heart. This refrained him from reacting ungodly. The condition of one's heart determines one's reaction to a negative action. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. What's in your heart will come out. People will show you where they are spiritually.
We as children of the King, are to do the things He does. We cannot limit our Christ like works to laying on of hands, prophesying, preaching and casting out demons, but in refraining from retaliation of people's negative actions as well. We do this by having a pure heart and a well developed prayer life. Without the two, we become a wide open target to the works of Satan. As one grows in the Word of God, with understanding, they will be able to refrain from retaliation. When one is concerned about their character, they will let prayer lead the way. 1 Samuel 24:1-5, Matthew 12:34-37 Phil 2:13-16, For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. 14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: 15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; 16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain Matt 26:41 Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." CHRIST IS MY PEACE IN THE STORMS!
One of my mum's favourite sayings I have heard all my life is "Why does it happen to our family?" Whenever tragedy struck or bad things happened she made me feel we were UNUSUAL and being SINGLED out in some way . I felt like God was punishing us. It was ALWAYS OUR FAMILY! Years later as a Christian I now realise life is very cruel and imperfect and tragedy happens to EVERYONE in all walks of life. We are not suffering alone or being targeted - God gives us HIS strength to face our trials - which happens to everyone. Where would we be without God's hand helping us along? The last three years have been very difficult for me. After a long illness of anorexia/bulimia I was healed and for a couple of years I had freedom and joy. Something I had never experienced before as before my healing my mind was full of suicidal thoughts and I was obsessed with calories. I went to Church every day and drew pictures, played the organ and prayed for many hours. I felt like pitching a tent there. I loved it so much. Wonderful quiet times alone with God. Many hours sat in the church garden reflecting on the goodness of God and drinking in His wonderful presence. I felt so happy I felt like I would "burst" with joy.
Then when my sons were married and had children I was asked If I would help to look after them as their wives needed to work for financial reasons. I knew I had to make a DECISION. Looking after grandchildren would mean I could no longer have the freedom to go to Church every day and my time would be taken up with looking after babies instead of sitting in God's presence and drinking in the stillness of His presence. Because my own childhood wasn't a happy one and mental illness ran through the family I decided if I could give love and stability to my own children and grandchildren - then I should do so. I wanted to break the circle of self-harm and depression. I felt if my own children didn't have breakdowns and my grandchildren grew up in a safe loving environment - this would go a long way to them breaking the pattern all my other family had taken over the years of mental illness, epilepsy and depression. So I became a very busy grandmother. I have three grandchildren, two are three years old - Harry and Bethany and Meggie is ten. Right from the beginning I was involved in their upbringing and gradually my life seemed so busy I didn't seem to have enough hours in the day. Gradually I had to cut down alot on Church and missed it greatly. I felt like my heart was broken. I missed sitting for hours in God's presence, praying and drawing. I felt like I had a huge gap in my life. I was grieving for Jesus. I was missing Him. But I knew my family needed me and as time went on many things happened in the family which showed me I had made the right choice.
Then I had an accident and injured my leg badly. I had a virus and was diagnosed with a skin disease that could turn cancerous at any time. I had two biopsies and it was very painful. I have to have regular checkups every six months to make sure it hasn't turned cancerous. My husband became very ill and we struggled to face each day. My mum is very poorly and I was helping her a lot and I was still looking after my grandchildren. I have been looking after them for three years now. Most of the time I feel exhausted. Yet they give me so much joy too. I know they will only be little once and the seeds of love that are sown will not be wasted. I know too God's Word NEVER returns void so everything I share about Jesus to them will one day reap a harvest. My own two sons no longer go to Church so I feel that showing them LOVE IN ACTION is also a way of spreading the Good News. My son nearly died six years ago of blood clots in his brain and recently he has had to give up driving due to his eyesight deteriorating. He has another job but has had a drastic cut in wages and he relies a lot on my husband to transport him to work. It was very hard for my son as he is only 31 years old and we don't know what his future holds regarding his eyesight. I just know my husband and I are needed even more then ever. I absolutely love my grandchildren and I am so grateful for them and the love they give me is really beautiful. Their hugs and kisses and cheeky smiles would melt any heart! But I still get very tired and my Church attendance has really been cut drastically due to ill health, exhaustion and looking after the grandchildren. I know when they start school full-time I will have opportunities to go go to church again and spend hours in God's presence - so I keep taking a day at a time and persevering.
Because my life is so busy and tiring God has shown me a very important lesson. I have learnt to live in God's presence 24/7 and even if I am too tired to pray I am aware He is always with me. I never doubt His presence and He always gives me strength to face another day. It was very easy being a Christian when life wasn't hectic and I could spend lots of time praying and singing. Especially when I had been healed. The peace and joy I felt. DRINKING IN GOD'S GOODNESS DAILY. How much harder to live a Christian life when it is very busy and I am not as well as I used to be. Only God has given me the strength to keep going and only He has given me an inner peace which assures me He is ALWAYS with me - wherever I am. I have learnt to no longer go on my feelings but to stand on God's promises. I realise emotions are very changeable according to our circumstances and how tired we are. I have come to see God is with me IN MY STORMS and does not take me away from them. Indeed we learn through difficult times and trials and grow as Christians. Because my faith has been tested with lots of things over the last three years I feel it is now more SOLID. I believe in what God says and He is my Rock. As a young Christian I used to look for emotional "highs" by going to worship meetings and assuring myself God loved me through MY FEELINGS. But now because I get so tired I no longer listen to them. I have no need to LOOK for God's love and approval - because I KNOW DEEP WITHIN HE LOVES ME and will always be there for me. He keeps His promises and I trust Him completely.
I felt led to write this because there may be others who feel the same as me. Their time may be tied up and they may be feeling exhausted. Their prayer time might be suffering and their church attendance may have had to be cut down. But I would say I feel CLOSER to God then I have ever done because it is now all about HIM and not about me. He is gracious and merciful and He understands our circumstances. We don't need to earn our salvation or try to win His approval. I am unable to do much in the way of worship at Church at the moment - but my life is my worship. The way I live, speak, act is a constant worship to God. I am always aware of the Lord's presence so live in His light which affects everything I say and do. God is everywhere and He lives in the heart of a believer. He does not carry a suitcase. He is a permanent resident not a fleeting guest. So whatever I do - I do as for the Lord and I may not be able to get to Church sometimes or hand out the hymn books like I used too - but blowing the noses of my grandchildren and helping them to see the love of the Lord through taking them to the park is STILL worshipping my Lord. I look forward to the quiet times which will eventually come as they get older but for now I have learnt to be content in ALL circumstances KNOWING God is with me and it is HIS GRACE I RELY ON - not my own good deeds. MESSAGES OF SPIRITUAL ENLIGHTINGMENT & ADVANCEMENT IN LIVING HERE & TOMORROW: BY VIVIAN NOSKEY
"This lady Lois had been battling cancer. Miraculously, someone had provided her with the opportunity to attend a much needed seminar. All the expenses had been covered, except for her plane flight home. Sitting in her car, Lois needed $153....27 by 2pm. It was already 1:30pm. "God will provide my need," she said confidently to herself. She leaned back in her seat and reflected on Matthew 17;27 that tells of the funds the disciples needed to pay their taxes. Dear Lord, Lois prayed. "I need a fish soon. Please show me where to find the lake" Glancing in her rear-view mirror, she watched a black sports car pull into a near-by parking space. Lois recognized the driver as a woman from her luncheon group. She walked toward Lois' car and introduced herself. "I know you don't know me very well and I hope you don't think I'm crazy," she said. "I'm so embarrassed. Please don't be offended by this" "What's the matter ?"Lois asked. "Several months ago God told me to put change in an envelope for you," she explained. " I've just carried it around and have been adding to it every day till I got the nerve to give it to you. I hope this isn't insulting. I just have to obey God." Before she could respond, the woman was gone, and Lois was left holding an envelope with exactly $153.27" Norman Rockwell Prayers of Hope PRAISE GOD! Someone needed to hear this encouragement! GOD BLESS YOU each one!
"So King Solomon sent, and they brought him down from the alter. And he came and bowed himself to king Solomon: and Solomon said unto him,Go to thine house." 1 Kings 1:53 DESTINY THIEVES! OLA! Powerful WORD from the BIBLE! Imagine that! Adonijah made himself KING, after King David! SELF proclaimed position! MY! MY! And then we read in our text in 1 KINGS 1 that the record was set straight and Solomon was the TRUE KING! SOLOMON got to ride on King David's mule!, for he was the TRUE anointed, and appointed KING! Ok, now as I was reading this text this morning, this is what I sensed in my spirit: that there are those out there that are DESTINY THIEVES! They are trying with all their strength to "steal" someone's destiny! They are trying to STOP what GOD has fore ordained! They are trying to BLOCK by not supporting, not encouraging, not loving, not praying for THAT anointed, and appointed person that GOD has chosen before the foundation of the earth! LET me say this, QUIT IT! STOP IT! Humble yourself before you are humbled! God's chosen ones WILL go on and GOD Himself will make an open show of HIS CHOSEN ONES! YOU CANNOT STOP TRUE DESTINY! HALLELUJAH! Read; 1 KINGS 1
"My son,do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor be weary when reproved by him. For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives" Hebrews 12:5,6 ESV You know what....... ...when the Lord was discipling me..it was not easy but He kept speaking life into my spirit..He kept telling me that he loves me and he doesn't want me to be defeated by the things of the world..as I submitted to him...such peace! SUBMIT to Him today... repent and quit sinning Some of you are hiding your sin, be not deceived GOD IS NOT MOCKED, whatsoever a man (or woman) soweth, that he will reap.. you sow bad seed, you will reap bad seed... As I was reading this morning, I thought of the discipline of the Lord and too many times we say," O the devil is after me! Everything is happening to me!" , maybe its THE CHASTISING OF YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER eh..think about it. Daughter of the King, Vivian
IS SUICIDE A WAY OUT? IS IT THE ANSWER?
OF COURSE NOT! ALTHOUGH AT THE TIME WE ARE CONTIMPLATING IT, IT FEELS LIKE THE RIGHT THING TO DO, RIGHT? If anyone at anytime has ever had thoughts of suicide because they felt hopeless or that they just couldn't cope with the stress they were going thru because of financial difficulties, medical difficulties, hopelessness, a bad life, ect...SUICIDE is not the answer.
This is how people suffering depression feel that if they express wanting to die because they don’t want to suffer anymore, then people will think they are crazy and will dissociate themselves from the sufferer. How sad that is because a person who is suffering depression to the point of suicide needs compassion and understand and moreover a way out, so for some people suicide is the "way out" but I come to tell you that there is another way out and his name is JESUS CHIRST who came to give you life and life more abundantly, he took on the sins of the world that we may find peace through salvation, I know this because I allowed him to save me from destruction and suicide. Please know if you call upon his name he will answer, I cried out to God and said ...".
If you are real make the voices stop I screamed make them stop" because the voices kept telling me to kill myself, that was in 1994 and God did in fact save me and healed me and I have been serving him since then, yes the devil continues to attack me with depression but I have fought the battle and won, And they were helped against them...for they cried to God in the battle, and he was entreated of them; because they put their trust in him. I Chronicles 5:20 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. II Chronicles 16:9 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ.... II Corinthians 2:14 And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee. II Chronicles 14:11 God is our refuge and strength, cry out to him for deliverance and develop a relationship with him he will carry you through any battle weather it be sickness, mental illness, physical handicap or addiction there is nothing to hard or to big for God to handle, just think of how he suffered before the cross and on the cross, it was so gruesome and horrible and unbearable for any human to bear or even comprehend but he was our SAVIOR. He is the only thing that can keep me going and if you ever lose him you lose it all.
He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me. Psalm 55:18 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies. Psalm 60:12 I wonder how many Christians withdraw from admitting they have anxiety, paranoia, fears, depression, or that they are having a nervous breakdown because of fear of being ridiculed or accused of backsliding if they admit they are suffering or maybe they are afraid they will be considered weak by saints if they openly admit or discuss having mental or emotional destress and never seek help because of fear of cristism or rejection? Or better yet, here is my favorite sarcastic comment, "they need to stop with the pity party" or "poor pitiful me" Shame on the person who make those comments to a person talking about suicide or going thru depression! Jesus didn’t do that to people what makes you think you have the right? its people like that who will never really understand true ministry because they cant get past themselves and then have the nerve to say someone else is selfish? Who is hurting? why not cut them deeper and pour some turpentine in the wound too while you are belittling depression? Depression is a killer both physically and mentally and its nothing to play around with. Do you know there is a difference between "having a pity party" and serious depression? someone who gets their feelings hurt and just goes off to have a tantrum or pity party and later gets over it, but someone who may have been belittled, or felt rejected, or made to feel worthless at a young age is scared forever as an adult and as an adult they experience these same horrors and they remain that little child from when it first happened to them and they never mature as adults because they never can find a way to overcome the hurts that were inflected on them as a child. How do I know this? because it happened to me and there are times in my life I handled many situations immaturely with anger and rage because I felt rejected over and over and its hard to overcome with out Christ, sure I had some healing to get thru but for the most part Jesus picked me up and gave me a new life of peace and joy and he strengthened me and enabled me to forgive and over come the obstacles from my childhood. As I grew in Christ as an adult I encountered more hurts and situations of rejection over and over in the church from members and leaders alike which stirred up that horrible rejection spirit that I felt was gone, but no the devil always has a plan to
destroy you even after you find salvation, so how do we handle it after we are saved? We battle it in prayer on our knees before the throne of God giving him the burden and once the burden is lifted and we forgive God is able to handle that situation for us. ...Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. Zechariah 4:6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me. Psalm 118:6, 7 Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you. Deuteronomy 3:22 Look I know I am not perfect "what a cliché" I hate cliché’s, Christians use them in the quoting of scriptures until I want to throw -up! I even find myself doing it and I catch myself when ministering to someone and I feel conviction, Seriously you feel conviction, you ask? yes because we can over use terms and scripture to the point of pulling our hair out and have no real feeling behind it but just say it out of habit, right? When I am going thru something the last thing I want to hear out of someone’s mouth is scripture quoting , I don’t need to be preached to I need someone to lend an ear, a soft understanding heart, a hug, some encouragement and real feelings of expression toward me, not routine quotes from the bible! I agree we have to put on the mind of Christ and robe ourselves in his righteousness but if I have learned anything its to be a human to another person when trying to comfort them, they don't want scriptures only, but just some understanding of what is going on in there lives and how to cope, as a Christian I have suffered first hand depression to the point of being hospitalized, hearing voices, withdrawing to the point of craziness, I cried out to god for help and he heard my cry...praise him! Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
Depression is not contained in a bottle it comes in all forms and for many different reasons, medications can cause depression as a side effect, losing a loved one can bring on depression, sin can cause depression or oppression if you continue in it without repentance. And for some its not that easy to just say "I’m going to be happy today" there are many situations in life which causes depression like the pain I endure 24/7 from fibromyalgia, another form of captivity from the enemy! Which I will overcome too! but it is very painful, aggravating, stressful, it hinders me from doing normal activities like opening a bottle of coke! or picking up my bible it hurts my hand, yes it hurts! Sitting to long, standing to long, lying to long in one position, I feel like im going crazy sometimes it is so irritating! another reason to not blow someone off if they say they hurt all the time or are suffering from a disease like cancer. People of God wake up! people are in pain and feel abandoned by the church! Leaders fall on your faces and repent for anything you did to offend the sheep! How dare you let pride keep you from apologizing to someone you ran off from church with your arrogance! Sometimes we feel lonely and pushed aside by Christians in the church not feeling welcome or appreciated by them. I was once a very happy on fire for God Christian being used of God and so happy to witness, but over the years people of God have made me feel useless and almost invisible and that leads to rejection, fear of people, withdrawal from society because of fear of being rejected and judged or just not able to fit in their mold. The only mold we should fit into is Gods mold! The reason I am writing this is because I have suffered so much depression and anxiety to the point of suicide and as a Christian I ask myself how did you get to this point. Letting people make me feel useless and unimportant is one reason, The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me. Psalm 118:6, 7
But as the years have gone by I have had more symptoms of fibromyalgia which can be miserable and make you so unhappy because you cant stop thinking about it because it never stops hurting you. I wrote this article in hopes to give a greater awareness of depression and suicide among Christians because there is a great need for companionship among the brethren!! no one likes to be alone all the time and yes there are times we isolate ourselves because we just get tired of rejection! I have experienced so much rejection from self absorbed people in church, yes its seems all people car about is how they look how much makeup they can paint on their faces and color their hair all different colors to get attention and wear the most ungodly things to church its very distracting and disheartening to see Christians worry more about the appearance rather than loving on people and reaching out. I see short skirts on the platform and fancy clothes and cars becoming more important than the heart for ministry and that is truth! Anyway to get back on the topic of suicide NO its not the answer! but in dark despair a person feels that is the only way to end pain and its not Jesus is the only way to end the suffering and pain. How do we end it? we fellowship with God every morning with thanks giving and reading the word and giving all our cares to him.
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ.... II Corinthians 2:14 Regardless of what has brought you to this point in life get away from the situation that has brought you to this point and turn your eyes on Jesus for the answers. He is able to deliver you out of any situation if you trust in him. God bless you all in your endeavors to search for truth and a greater walk with God, for those who do not know Christ fall on your knees and ask GOD into your life and see the miracle of Salvation.
True Prayer BY ANNA STOLTZ-LUNDQVIST
True prayer is real work. True prayer is a self-denial work. Prayer is to prepare a way for God: "Clear a way for the Lord in the wilderness, make smooth in the desert a highway for our God.” (Is 40:3). To pray is to make GOD’S will be done; to loose and bind. To prepare His way and let His will be done means to be totally devoted to God so that we can discern what His way is, what His will is. It’s to be so totally to Him that His Spirit can work thoroughly in us. To be a Prayer Warrior is a lonesome and "invisible” work but He’ll give "hidden wealth of secret places” (Is 45:3). The highest motive of prayer is not in having it answered but in joining one’s will with God’s. We must let our own will go, humble ourselves and seek to understand His will, His Word (Daniel 10:12). This does not mean that we shouldn’t ask for things we need or situations to be solved but first we should as if it’s according to God’s will. If we only pray for our own needs and wants will weaken us before Him, will weaken our souls, because His will is not fulfilled. If we continually live in His presence, if we habitually are in His light, we’ll get to know His will and can pray accordingly. As Daniel did in ch.10 we must let the Holy Spirit bring our own will into God’s will. Then we’ll find in our hearts the same desire as God’s and we’ll be able to express this desire in prayers. Thus, the longing for God will be our desire and then expressed with words of prayer and supplication.
Jesus said in Matt.6 when thought about the Lord’s Prayer: "Let Thy will be done as in heaven so on earth.” If we’re so one with Him (as we can be on this side of eternity) we can actually feel His grieve for different matters. We feel then like a burden on our hearts, we feel a longing to pray for that matter. Pray then with sighs, groaning and tears! True prayer is to seek His face, to be in His presence. Then you come to know Him and His will and you’ll be transformed into more of His likeness, be the image you’re created to be. To pray without ceasing is to always put your Spirit in His presence. The Psalmist says: "Besides Thee I desire nothing on earth…But as for me the nearness of God is my good…” (Ps 73:25,28). The Psalmist has joined His will with God’s so that he doesn’t desire anything else but Him. For him the nearness of God is enough. True prayer is dependant, to lean onto the Holy One and Him only. If you lean onto something (or someone) else it will sooner or later breake and pierce your hand, heart and soul. But Jesus will never break; He’s keeping you up! True prayer is to pouring out one’s heart before the Lord, expecting Him to be able and willing to help, to not fear whatever comes in the way totally lean onto Him. True prayer is Holy Confidence. If we don’t take up the responsibility of prayer we’ll hinder the fulfillment of God’s will. God will act on our prayers (Ez 36:37) if the prayers are according to His will. A primal principal behind God’s work is that He desire man to pray, to cooperate with Him through prayer. But as He has given us a free will and wants our full-hearted cooperation, He won’t force us to work with Him. Unless we pray and seek His face, His nearness, and permit us to be changed, He won’t do anything. When we cry out "Draw me after you! Let my garden breathe out fragrance!” – then He’ll answer: "Arise my darling and come along! Hurry! Be like a gazelle or a young stag on the mountains of spieces!”
BE STILL AND KNOW THAT GOD IS GOD! BY PROPHETESS SISTER MARY BOLDEN
INTO EACH LIFE SOME RAIN MUST FALL! BUT, JUST HOLD ON FOR THE SUN WILL SHINE AFTER AWHILE. IT MAY BE CLOUDY ALL DAY TODAY, BUT LOOK UP AND YOU SHALL SEE THE SUN PEEKING THROUGH THE CLOUDS. GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN YOU OR I , THOUGH IT MAY BE THAT WE ARE GOING THROUGH TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS. THEY ONLY COME TO MAKE US STRONG. HOW IS THAT? YOU MAY ASK. WELL, THAT IS BECAUSE WE WILL PRAY MORE AND DRAW NIGH TO GOD SO THAT HE, TOO, SHALL DRAW NIGH TO YOU. WEEPING MAY ENDURE FOR A NIGHT, BUT JOY WILL COME IN THE MORNING! HOLD ON TO GOD'S UNCHANGING HANDS AND HE WILL SEE YOU THROUGH THESE HARD TIMES. AS THE SAYING GOES, "APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS"...IT IS SO THAT WE MUST HAVE SOME RAIN BEFORE THINGS IN GOD'S GARDEN WILL GROW. THAT'S THE REASON HE CREATED THE SKY, CLOUDS, RAIN, SUN, ETC. HE KNEW WHAT WE WOULD NEED TO HELP US GROW AND MATURE SPIRITUALLY, AS WELL. HE'S OMISCIENT AND KNOWS ALLL THINGS AND IS ALL WISE GOD, SO HE UNDERSTANDS WHAT WE NEED TO GAIN UNDERSTANDING OF VIA HIS WISDOM FROM ON HIGH. WE ONLY KNOW IN PART AND HAVE LOTS TO LEARN THROUGH LIFE'S EXPERIENCES AS WELL AS WHAT HE TEACHES US IN HIS WORD.
EACH OF US MUST GO THROUGH HARD TIMES BEFORE WE CAN REALLY APPRECIATE WHEN TIMES ARE GOOD. WE MUST SUFFER HARD SHIP BEFORE WE CAN BE APPRECIATIVE OF THE FINANCIAL BLESSINGS THAT COME OUR WAY. A PERSON WHO IS JOBLESS & HOMELESS CAN ONLY APPRECIATE A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER WHO WILL OFFER THEM A PLACE TO STAY EVEN IF IT IS TEMPORARY . NO ONE , I DON'T BELIEVE, WANTS TO LIVE ON THE STREETS (LITERALLY). ALTHOUGH SOME HAVE BEEN FOOLED BY THE ADVERSARY TO THINK THAT THEY HAVE NO HOPE FOR ANYTHING BETTER. HE'S A LIAR AND WILL TRY TO DECIEVE ALL THAT HE CAN AND GET THEM TO GIVE UP HOPE IN GOD! MY HOPE IS BUILT ON NOTHING LESS THAN JESUS' BLOOD AND RIGHTEOUSNESS. ON CHRIST THE SOLID ROCK I STAND BECAUSE ALL OTHER GROUND IS SINKING SAND. THAT'S LYRICS TO A VERY POPULAR OLD SONG CALLED , "THROUGH IT ALL". I USED TO SING IT AND I FELT IT IN MY SPIRIT BECAUSE I KNEW THEN, AS I DO NOW, WHAT I WAS SINGING ABOUT. IT IS AS I SAID ABOVE, WHAT LIFE'S EXPERIENCES TEACH US AS WELL AS THE WORD OF GOD. ONCE A PERSON HAS BEEN THROUGH PAIN AND AGONY, THEY THEN WILL FIND OUT THAT IT IS A GOOD THING TO GIVE GOD THANKS FOR LIFE, HEALTH AND STRENGTH! SO MANY TIMES PEOPLE TAKE FOR GRANTED THAT THEY HAVE GOOD HEALTH AND CAN GO TO WORK. YOU SHOULD BE EVER SO THANKFUL IF YOU ARE ON A JOB THAT YOU MAY NOT PARTICULARLY LIKE, BUT APPRECIATE JUST BEING ABLE TO WORK AND BE SELF SUFFICIENTLY BLESSED. SO VERY MANY ARE UNEMPLOYED THESE DAYS ALL AROUND THE GLOBE AND THEY LONG FOR THE DAY WHEN THEY CAN GET ANY KIND OF JOB AS LONG AS IT KEEPS SHELTER OVER THEIR HEAD AND THEIR FAMILY'S HEAD, AS WELL AS TO BE ABLE TO FEED THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILY.
I THANK GOD EVERY MORNING FOR HIS FRESH MERCIES OF THAT MORNING AND THROUGHOUT THE DAY I THANK HIM FOR BLESSING ME TO BE ABLE TO HAVE THE ACTIVITES OF MY LIMBS AND ABLE BODIED ENOUGH TO TAKE CARE OF MYSELF . I THANK HIM FOR MY JOB AND FOR MY NEIGHBORHOOD THAT I LIVE IN. I THANK HIM FOR ALL MY FRIENDS ON FB AND FOR MY FAMILY. I THANK HIM FOR FOOD TO EAT BECAUSE I KNOW FOR ASURETY THAT IT IS A BLESSING NOT TO HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MY NEXT MEAL WHEREAS I ONCE DID HAVE THAT CONCERN BECAUSE I WAS UNEMPLOYED AND DID NOT KNOW WHERE MY NEXT MEAL WOULD COME FROM. BUT, GOD KNEW JUST HOW HE WAS GOING TO BLESS ME AND BEFORE THE END OF THE DAY, HE SENT SOMEONE TO BLESS ME WITH FOOD NOT ONLY FOR THAT DAY , BUT FOR A WEEK OR MORE. IT WAS A TEST OF MY FAITH AND OBEDIENCE TO BE WITHOUT FOR A SHORT SEASON, THEN TO BE BLESSED WITH A GOOD JOB, THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD BEFORE WITH GOOD BENEFITS, ETC. IT'S ALL BECAUSE I PRAYED THIS PRAYER, "LORD BLESS ME ABUNDANTLY THAT I MAY BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS." AND SURE ENOUGH , HE HAS GIVEN ME TO KNOW, "I'M BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING." THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD, I SHALL NOT WANT. HE MAKETH ME TO LIE DOWN IN GREEN PASTURES. HE LEADS ME BESIDE THE STILL WATERS TO RESTORE MY SOUL. HE LEADS ME IN THE PATH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR HIS NAME SAKE. YEAH , THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH, I WILL FEAR NO EVIL FOR THOU ART WITH ME. (PS. 23) I RECITE THIS PASSAGE OF SCRIPTURE OFTEN BECAUSE IT HAS COME ALIVE IN ME.
I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE THAT TRULY HE WATCHES OVER ME, GUARDS, SHIELDS, AND PROTECTS ME FROM ALL EVIL. HE TOLD SATAN "TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED." AND THE DEVIL , THOUGH HE MAY TRY , KNOWS HE CANNOT CAUSE ANY HURT, HARM , OR DANGER TO COME TO ME. GOD WON'T ALLOW IT!! PRAISE HIM1 I DO! HE'S BEEN EVER SOOO GOOD TO ME. EVEN AT MY LOWEST TIMES IN LIFE, HE GAVE ME SERENITY OVER THE THINGS (AND PEOPLE IN MY LIFE0 THAT I KNEW I COULDN'T CHANGE, THOUGH I WANTED TO.........A SERENE ANOINTING TO CHARGE AND GAVE ME TO KNOW THAT I HAD TO REMAIN CALM AND LET GO AND LET GOD! HE'S MY BATTLE AX AND HE PROMISED THAT IF I TRUST HIM, HE WILL FIGHT MY BATTLES FOR ME IF I JUST KEEP STILL. BE STILL AND KNOW THAT GOD IS SOVEREIGN LORD, SAINTS OF GOD! HE IS STILL YET IN CONTROL AND HE WILL WORK ALL THINGS TOGETHER FOR YOURS AND MY GOOD. NO MATTER WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE WORLD TODAY OR TOMORROW, WE HAVEHOPE IN CHRIST, THE SOLID ROCK! JESUS CHRIST IS THE HOPE OF GLORY!!! TRUST IN THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART, MIND, SOUL AND SPIRIT AND HE WILL SEE YOU MAKE IT THROUGH AND OUT WITH VICTORY! IN JESUS' MIGHTY, MIRACULOUS, MAJESTIC NAME, AMEN. PROPHETESS SISTER MARY
God works in mysterious ways : Posted by Pastor Joel Mcnaab
On a Saturday night several weeks ago, this pastor was working late, and decided to call his wife before he left for home. It was about10:00 PM, but his wife didn't answer the phone. The pastor let the phone ring many times. He thought it was odd that she didn't answer, but decided to wrap up a few things and try again in a few minutes. When he tried again she answered right away He asked her why she hadn't answered before, and she said that it hadn't rung at their house. They brushed it off as a fluke and went on their merry ways. The following Monday, the pastor received a call at the church office, which was the phone that he'd used that Saturday night. The man that he spoke with wanted to know why he'd called on Saturday night. The pastor couldn't figure out what the man was talking about. Then the man said, "It rang and rang, but I didn't answer." The pastor remembered the mishap and apologized for disturbing him, explaining that he'd intended to call his wife. The man said, "That's, OK. Let me tell you my story. You see, I was planning to commit suicide on Saturday night, but before I did, I prayed, 'God if you're there, and you don't want me to do this, give me a sign now.' At that point
my phone started to ring. I looked at the caller ID, and it said, 'Almighty God'. I was afraid to answer!" The reason why it showed on the man's caller ID that the call came from "Almighty God" is because the church that the pastor attends is called Almighty God Tabernacle!! God answers prayers. God bless!
"CHILDREN OF HIS GLORY" BY JOHN GRACE
"For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will (because it pleased Him and was His kind intent)-(so that we might be) to the praise of His glorious grace (favor, mercy) which He so freely bestowed on us in the Beloved" (Ephesians 1:5-6). Beloved, this is the glorious purpose of the Gospel of grace...to reveal us (those who believe) as His very own children. This is the marvelous wonder of God and the chief way He opts to unveil His perfect glory. Our adoption as His children is the very will of God, and has been since before the foundations were ever laid. All throughout history God has declared His desire to have a people, representative of His own desires (Exodus 19:1-6). He brought His chosen ones out of the slavery of Egypt via a mighty, unmistakable deliverance. He "bore them on eagles' wings and brought them to Himself". He set them free from their bondage, but that freedom consists in deliverance FROM darkness and oppression, but also TO HIS glorious light and liberty. We were redeemed (bought back) from the stocks of bondage to serve HIS eternal purposes, not our own (Titus 2:11-14; I Peter 2:9-10). He showed us mercy that we might be freed from the deathgrip of sin and so we might "display the virtues and perfections" of Him.
Our redemption from the slavery of sin, and the fear of death displays God's glory in that we, who were absolute rebels and enemies of the Almighty, received not punishment but mercy. Moreover, we were given much more than mercy. We were given the right to become the very children of God Himself, and thus heirs to His eternal kingdom!!! WOW!!! If that does not show forth the glory of God, I don't know what would. And yet, there is more. We who were once rebels, now forgiven and redeemed have become God's children. This will be, when it's all said and done, the revelation of God's perfect wisdom to the entire universe (Ephesians 3:10). For one day, on that glorious day, God will unveil His adopted ones to them all. He will roll back the curtain, as it were, and reveal a people who reflect HIS image, having been transformed into the very likeness of Jesus Christ Himself (II Thessalonians 1:10; Romans 8:29). THIS is the moment God has been waiting for ever since the dawn of creation. In fact, creation itself groans under the strain, also eagerly awaiting the revealing of God's children, for at that time shall nature itself be released from its bondage (Romans 8:19-21). THIS, beloved, is the hope of our calling. This is when our adoption becomes official. This is when the Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father rejoice with unending gladness. This will be the culmination of all that the Godhead has ordained in the eternal past. This is what the Blood of Jesus will have bought..a family for God, a people for Himself. His death and resurrection have secured for the Father a people of His very own (Isaiah 53:10-11). No wonder He was able to endure the cross. This is what He saw...all the spiritual offspring it would produce. You and I, brethren, ARE those children! WE are the offspring; the multiplied seed of His crucifixion (John 12:24).
We are the adopted ones. We, who were cast aside and rejected; who refused His original desire, have been restored and reconciled back to the Father (Colossians 1:20-22). And, by His grace, we will be transformed from fullfledged enemies into legitimate sons and daughters(Galatians 4:4-7). Not just any sons, but sons of His love, daughters of His grace. Those who were taken from slavery and rebellion, and made to become the very image and likeness of His perfect Son, the Firstborn, the Lord Jesus. This is how we become the praise of His glorious grace. Having all this in mind, then, rejoice amidst the trials for they are working for you a greater weight of glory. One that will be revealed, to the very delight and glory of God, in the day of His glory. Don't be discouraged, but hold fast your confidence, for this is its reward. We are being renewed and are being changed, going from glory to everlasting glory!!! "Beloved, we are even now God's children; it is not yet disclosed (made clear) what we shall be (hereafter), but we know that when He comes and is manifested, we shall (as God's children) resemble and be like Him, for we shall see Him just as He (really) is" (I John 3:2). This is why we crucify the old nature. For we are become sharers of HIS divine nature, and partakers of His holiness (II Peter 1:3-4; Hebrews 12:10). Praise the Lord! What a glorious future. We are the children of His glory."
Perilous Times are Here By C. Elden McNabb
This trouble that is coming will come according to the prophecy spoken by Jesus Christ himself. As Jesus answered the three-point question asked by the Twelve Apostles in Matthew 24:1-3, He answered the first two parts and then, in verse 29, He began to answer the question, What about the end of the world? He said, "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels (messengers) with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other” (Matt. 24:29-31). Thus, Jesus gave us four prominent signs of His immediate coming. I think it is probable that we have been living in the tribulation of those days, at least since the middle of 2008. Wherefore, I exhort you, and challenge you to believe these words of Jesus, and try to understand them. These words are true, but be-cause of the general misunderstand-ing of the next five verses, we get sidetracked from the truth of what you have just read. Please read these words again, and do not allow anyone to persuade you that what Jesus said here is not true. It is faith in His words that will save us in this evil day, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Rom. 10:11-17). Jesus spoke partly in par-ables here in Matthew, but we can see the truth of Jesus’ parables, especially if we have all five of the "Gifts of the Ministry” working in our congre-gations (Eph. 3:1-5).
First, there will be a time of tribulation; not the "great tribulation” previously mentioned in Matt. 24:4-21 which was about the fall of Israel in 70 A.D. He did not say perse-cution, because He wanted to em-phasize that there will be much more than persecution, although there will be that too, in time. Then the light of the Gospel will go out. The offer of redemption will be withdrawn. Some ministers will simply quit preaching out of fear, others by martyrdom. Then there are those who will fulfill the admonition "Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity” (Isa. 26:20-21). If we are spiritual enough to be strong, and have the faith to believe what the Lord has prophesied to happen, we will still need the wisdom and knowledge of God through His Word if we are to have the strength to stand for God in these perilous times. As it is written, "Wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times and strength of salvation” (Isa. 33:6). God has every intention of punishing both errant Christianity and the inhabitants of the unbeliev-ing, secular world. But in the process, He will save some, even as He did in the days of Noah. If you have been following the reports of true scientists who are reporting the development of the natural astrological activities, you will see that we should also anticipate devastating astronomical problems which will affect the earth’s stability adversely, the nature of which has never been seen by mankind. Did not the prophet say, "The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard” (Isa. 24:20) and that there would be earthquakes in diverse places?

We shall see a recovery from the tribulation of these days, then we shall see the sign of the Son of Man in heaven, followed by something so severe that it shall cause all of the tribes of the earth to mourn. Then "they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” Then Jesus shall send His messengers to gather together His elect from the four winds. Yes, in direct fulfillment of prophecy, Jesus was the first of the seven anointed leaders of God’s Church foretold by the prophets, and He will be here "with the last [one]” as the Grace Age comes to its end (Isa. 41:4). Can we believe the words of the Son of God? How can we afford not to? Perhaps you have not previously heard the words of Jesus explained this way, but you must believe His word and trust His grace every day. Believe Him; it is called faith. Faith does not come by spur-ious words of men’s wisdom, but by the hearing of the word of God. These words of our Lord and Savior are neither strange nor difficult to grasp, although some of it may need some careful and studious attention. It can be understood, but only if we have a ministry with all the five gifts functioning, especially the Apostles and Prophets. Jesus raised the point of the great trouble which God intends to pour out upon the world as the sixth millennium from Adam draws to an end. He explained the reason for all of the hard things which are coming, especially His anger with His own children, and then with the inhabi-tants of the world as a whole, just as it was in the days of Noah (Matt 24:29-47). The waywardness of the descendants of Seth was God’s major complaint, and the primary reason for the flood. His chosen lineage had walked away from God’s intentions for them, intermar-rying with the descendants of Cain (Gen. 6:1-8). Time after time in the history of the seed of Abraham, up until their rejection and the disso-lution of the nation of Israel in 70 A.D., God rebuked and punished them various times. That His people should not intermarry with unbeliev-ers, the heathen idolaters, was of the utmost importance to God. For every time they mixed with the other peoples of the world, they fell into the same ungodliness, and idolatry which was practiced there.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ reached Europe in the first century A.D., and stagnated there in the dysfunctional condition which was prophesied of in Isaiah 1:12-31. The judges and counselors, the apostles and prophets, were gone, and false teachers had supplanted them. From about the third century to about the 15th to 16th centuries, the process of preaching the Gospel to every creature ceased to spread. Christianity had become a government mandate under the heavy hand of Rome, and resistance to its rule punishable by death. Then the reformation began, and until about the middle of the twentieth century, the condition of the advancement of the knowledge of God remained fairly strong. But by the end of World War II, the trend had reversed. Christianity had never completely broken all the fetters of Roman paganism, and the pendulum began to swing back to Rome. In 1962, because of te new ecumenical movement, the return to Rome began to pick up momentum here in the U.S.A., and in 1964, the U.S. government began to outlaw the use of the Bible in public places. It has taken a few years, but today, Christianity is very close to a major clash with the anti-Christian powers of the world. That includes all of us, from the zealous advocates of active Pentecostalism to the more staid Christians, even including the Church of Rome. God is preparing to punish errant Christianity in every category, and in the same time-frame protect a group of people who have zealously clung to the true concepts which make Christianity acceptable in His sight. Paul put it this way, "Know this also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning [about God], and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived” (2 Tim 3:1-13). What an unflattering description of the condition of Christianity as God begins to wind down the Grace Age. "But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works” (2 Tim. 3:14-17). With these words, Paul showed us how to escape the wrath of God, by learning the Word of God. Please do not fall into the trap of changing the word "perfect” to the word "mature.” If you do, you will shut out an important amount of understanding of the Holy Scriptures. In three prominent men in the Old Testament, Noah, Abram, and Job, God showed us what He meant. He did mark the perfect men (Ps 37:37). The Lord said, "Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations” (Gen. 5:9): meaning Noah became as good as a person could be in that period of time. And God commanded Abram, saying, "I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect” (Gen. 17:1). Also the Lord said, of Job, "That man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God.” It was he of whom God told Satan, "There is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God [and hates evil]” (Job 1:1-8). Therefore Jesus told His disciples, "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect” (Matt. 5:48).

That is our commandment, our challenge today. Christianity has gone the way of the world. They have even fallen into the trap of seeking after wealth, against which the apostle Paul warned us saying, "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience” (Col. 3:1-6). We are approaching the final developments which will soon usher in the coming of our Lord and King. It is indeed high time to wake out of sleep, and seek the Lord, search His word, and search our own hearts for anything which might provoke the Lord to say unto us also, "How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; but ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; when your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: for that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord: they would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil” (Prov. 1:22-33).
"Troubled in Heart and Spirit" BY PASTOR JEFF GODSOWN
Part 1 As with some Prophets and most seers, every once in a while God allows us to feel His heart. Sometimes it is a most wonderful, pleasant, warming and elated feeling, but at other times, His heart is troubled and pained! What I am about to share is the latter and I thank and praise God, He never gives us more than we can handle. I cannot say for certain how long this has been going on, but I can tell you, it has been building in intensity. A couple of months ago I was given a prophetic word and summed up, it goes like this; those in leadership who will not do or go where God has called them to, will be removed and their kingdoms ripped from their hands. As of late, I have found my heart aching and the spirit within me feels crushed. I did not understand why I felt or sensed this, but I know my Father knows, so I began seeking and asking for specifics. He began by taking me back to the things He’s been saying and showing me, this for me brought me to a place of examination and asking God to show me my failings and things that would cause harm to others. I would love to tell these things and events without all the fluff, but it is the fluff that will help with the understanding. This series of events started before God healed me of past hurts that were to me, hidden. I am a member of the worship team and I play several instruments, sing a little, and even pen songs that God gives me. Everytime I turn around, someone is complaining that my instruments are to loud, I only have control of my amp on the platform. There is a sound person and they have control over what goes out to the congregation through the sound system.
When I’m supposed to sing lead or present in a song, my voice doesn’t come through the system until someone turns me either up or on. We were recently leaning a new song, I took the time to learn it in the key that our leader could sing it in, transposing only by listening, then replaying the song. I tried to teach it to one of our keyboard players so I might be able to do what the worship leader asked of me; provide a lead guitar part for the fill-ins. After some time, the worship leader said, if you can’t play this, then I’m giving it to him as she was pointing to me. The first time we practiced the song, the results though far from perfect, weren’t to bad, but only because no one else knew the song in the new key, so the worship leader was listening to me as at that time, I was the key instrument. The next time we came together, they were no longer listening to me, in fact, they couldn’t hear me and the song, the keys, the chords, and the timing was all off. I had even stopped playing 3 different times and no one even noticed until they looked in my direction and saw I was leaning on the wall off to the side on my keyboard. Somehow, some way, though I had stopped playing, the song being screwed up and wacked in tempo turned out to be my fault. I definitely did not understand this; nor was I ready, willing, and able to accept the blame for the fault thing in this. In fact, this actually brought out a hurt in me, I never knew was there. I felt like the kid who brought the ball, bat, and glove to the playground, and though the other kids used my ball, bat, and glove, they never picked me to be on anyone’s team, that mean kind of hurt. It was at this point, I wanted to take my ball, bat, and glove and go home, never to play with those kids again, I felt the hurt, that bad! When I got home, I told my Father what I was feeling and He began healing me, while showing me all the moments from which my hurts came from. At the next service, Father told me turn my amp back, so I turned it back by one third of what it was; the next service He again told me turn it back even more, this time I turned it back by one half of the new settings. The next time we came together in service, once again God said turn it way back, now no sound is coming from my amp.
Imagine my surprise when God Himself said to me, look they don’t even notice, I asked why is this and He said, there is to much flesh in what is supposed to be worship of Me! The following Sunday while I was praying, Father said tell them, tell them I said there is to much flesh in the worship! I asked God at that point if He could have someone else give that message as I have spoken words to this nature before and they have been ignored and I also said, out of the mouth of two or three witnesses, Your Word is established. He said nothing to me at that point leaving me with a not so good feeling inside, later that morning, God used another Prophet in the church to bring that very message out, to much flesh in the worship. I asked God later why He had another bring His word forth, He said son, you spoke the truth of My Word back to Me, I hold my Word above all things and I honor My Word above all things. I then asked God how long must I remain turned down, He said first things first, there is much wrong with my bride, you must pray through all these things, cast out demons, call forth the warring angels, speak healing and deliverance over them, and let them know, I love each of them and I want to deliver, remove the scar tissue, and heal them of their hidden hurts as I have begun doing in you! He said, I have much to show you, you have much to pray about and confess life over them, now come with Me, I will show you why they cannot enter in. This will be continued in part 2
Part 2 Oh how our Father wants us to enter into His presence, as I said in part 1, Prophets and seers have begun to feel the ache of God’s heart for His people! It’s a strange thing when musicians begin to flow in the Spirit, it’s as if every beat and every note is in perfect time with the Father’s heart. It’s as if it is not we humans that are the one’s playing anymore, being attached and yet at the same time, not attached to your instrument(s), it is amazing. These moments have begun to happen more and more often in my short time, being a member of the worship team. We get to that place, a place we have cried out to the Father to experience and for some reason as the flow begins to happen, for strange reasons the flesh steps in and breaks the momentum. I ask God the Father all kinds of questions and this is one in a continued series of questions I wanted the answer for. This has been a question that has not gotten answers, but rather an understanding. God has an answer, but those earlier moments were not the right time for the answer, as it would have been to soon and brought about a premature action or reaction. I asked God if there was a jealousy problem or is this a Jezebel thing because of the demonic realm that continues to try to reign in the church, He said; that is but a small portion of the problem. Remember what I said in part 1, He said; I have much to show you, you have much to pray about and confess life over them, now come with Me, I will show you why they cannot enter in. He took me in a vision on a journey to Heaven, when I got there, I saw columns of angels, standing at the ready, (awaiting their assignments) this is key for later. As I gazed upon them, I noticed how fierce they looked, yet they were beautiful and majestic. All of them were in full armor with sword and spear and bow! I began to walk among them and the more I looked on them, the more I found myself awed by their presence. I said; Lord why have you brought me here, without a word, He took me by the hand and brought me back to the place where we first came in. He then said; turn and look again, and as I did, they seemed as if consuming figures of fire, He said; close your eyes, so I did and we walked towards them.
He then said; tell me what you feel, tell me what you sense, I said I do not understand, I feel the heat and I sense the fierceness, but I also noticed, I felt no fear and spoke that as well. I said; I know I’m safe, I’m with you, He said you have spoken well, but consider this, not all see as you see and not all think as you think, others come to this point and they feel and sense as you did and they are gripped by fear of the unknown, that fear drowns out the knowledge that I am with them. Now, do you really think they are willing to step into the unknown when their hearts and minds are consumed with their thinking instead of thinking with a renewed mind or an eager expectation and hunger for My presence? I said; this I understand, but that just brought up more questions, my first question was, why am I not afraid and He said, you heart knows that I gave you love, power and a sound mind and that I give no attached fears. He then reminded me of a teaching I did a couple of years ago, "Who do you Want in your Foxhole With you in the Battle?” I said; Lord, I know You know, I’ve been struggling with a question deep in my heart, will you answer me now? I’m supposed to submit to the authority, but how can I follow a coward into battle, cowards get people killed! He said to me; son I will lead you, but you will carry them in your prayers while binding the demonic forces off your leaders and continue to exhibit the strength and courage of Joshua as he face each battle for them to see. Lord, I will go where you go, do what you tell me and pray as you say, help me, cause me, mold and make me to be ALL You;ve called me to be. I know, in You, I find my whole being and purpose, you are my all in all! Continue in prayer, be unafraid to confront the enemy for I have given all power and authority into your hands, use it! This will continue in Part 3, there is still much to learn!
"Troubled in Heart and Spirit” Part 3 I’ve noticed as of late, I’m not resting well, yet I’m not tired, must be a God thing! The things I have been seeing, brought to my attention by God Himself, a constant echo in church that weighs heavily in my soul, has brought much questioning. Not wanting to lean to my own understanding, I find myself constantly in God’s face, questioning this, that, and anything else that comes into my life. If you read and remember, in part 2, I asked God how was I supposed to follow a coward into battle, here I find myself asking a similar question, all because of my military background. How am I supposed to follow leadership into battle if they are unprepared? I have witnessed, time and time again, how leadership comes in, not walking in the spirit and not prepared for the events that are going to take place, they are nowhere near a place of readiness to fill their call. Some of the worst I’ve ever seen are those who have charge over the worship teams, they come in with an ill conceived notion, if they step in faith, God will take them in. This is far from what God is looking for, remember in part 1 where God had me turn my amp down and I could no longer hear my playing? God said; when I sent the tribe of Israel to march around Jericho, what was the order of events? I said; Lord I know the story from Your Word, but I don’t understand what You’re getting at. This is what He showed me, I gave My people orders and they came to fulfill those orders; be quiet, step, trumpet and that’s what they did. The results were phenomenal, the walls came tumbling down, My people were prepared and obedient and I met them in My power. The bothersome measure of the unpreparedness shows up in the following statement, after 30, 45, or 60 minutes of worship, the worship leader says something very destructive, we need to keep going, we’re not quite there yet. For everyone that had reached that plateau, waiting for the others or for those of you who actually chose to step over and not wait, I apologize.
These children of God which had already stepped into the presence of the Lord, with one breath, it’s as if the worship leader told them, they never made it. They were suddenly pulled out and believe it or not, the spirit was squashed. This is just wrong, deadly force wrong, the worship leader did in a few short words more damage than the enemy could after attacking for days. This may sound like a stupid question; but do you really want to follow someone into battle, tearing down demonic strongholds, if they suddenly say oh I forgot a piece of my armor, hold on while I go and get it? Maybe they forgot their orders or become distracted, leading you straight into an ambush. Turn your amp back my son, though you come in prepared, it’s not the music, the sound that should lead you in, learn to worship Me in your silence, be still and know I’m God. No one should ever follow a leader into battle who is not already prepared for battle, I have seen to much death and destruction as a result of no, poor, or badly prepared leadership on a real battlefield and there is little difference between spiritual and physical, tactical warfare. A true leader is one who not only leads but also gets out of the way and pushes their troops forward toward their advancement and cultivates the gifts God has placed on those in their charge. If a true leader gets behind their people and pushes them forward, the leader then also goes forward. If a leader cannot do this either out of pride or jealousy, or from lies told them from the pride and jealousy of others, they are not leaders but rather servants of the enemy. It’s a leaders job to pray for the protection and advancement or growth of his or her troops. This act will in turn bring forth a right Spirit not only in the individuals, but also in the team and help bring unity into the team, all while establishing loyalty in their subordinates. In turn, their subordinates will pray for protection, wisdom, and vision for their leaders, these things help bring forth love, a love that can be felt by the congregation. If no man is an island, then we must lean on and depend on each other, God gave all these gifts to work together for good. If it’s good, then unity will evolve and in unity, undefeatable strength can be found, keeping all humble--- no man above his master. If your leadership is not in a place where they need to be, pray for them, God gave all power and authority into your hands and you have the ability to call out demonic spirits and tear down strongholds and send them to their destruction in the dry places. Learn to have compassion on them, you never know what they’ve gone through, are going through, or may go through. You know what to do, now just do it!
Part 4 So far, we have seen some pretty demonstrative words and descriptions in this series, and this one is no different, a hard word and bitter pill to swallow. A true leader must be able to count on God given generals and captains to stand at their side to protect him or her, but also help keep watch over the flock to protect them. For far too long, these great men and women of God, have put their dependence on others; more out of flattering and or dazzling words and friendships, leading to familiarity, than those who have shown themselves faithful to God alone. Those who are faithful to God have the Word of God alive in them and are not easily swayed and refuse to be beguiled. These are those who have refused to be turned by demonic fluff words, shown themselves as faithful servants, and are unafraid to be brutally honest out of love for God and the hearers, even to the point of being wrongfully confronted for what God has spoken in warning. God has not, nor will He ever change and when He says He will pull people out of leadership and rip their kingdoms from them, He ain’t just putting on the ritz. God tore the kingdom of Israel out of Saul’s hands and made it clear, He loves those who surrender themselves to Him and He hates those who would usurp His authority, building their own kingdoms. Remember God said; Jacob I loved, Esau I hated, reason simple: Jacob finally surrendered and came under authority, but Esau built his own kingdom after selling his birthright. Esau is actually a reflection of satan and the Babylonian empire; I will raise myself above God. It’s time the top echelon leaders sought God for God’s choice of true God fearing men and women of God, they’re the ones whom God is able to constantly change and grow. These are the ones who touch peoples’ lives with Godly love and wisdom, bringing them wisdom to make it through any situation. The otherside of the coin, becomes a reprehensible word of correction by the Lord, one I do not wish to hear, so I must obey.
Depart from me you worker of iniquity; Rev 2:19 I know your record and what you are doing, your love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that your recent works are more numerous and greater than your first ones. Rev 2:20 But I have this against you: that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess [claiming to be inspired], and who is teaching and leading astray my servants and beguiling them into practicing sexual vice and eating food sacrificed to idols. [I Kings 16:31; II Kings 9:22, 30.] Rev 2:21 I gave her time to repent, but she has no desire to repent of her immorality [symbolic of idolatry] and refuses to do so. Included in this, is the spirit of Absolom! At this moment we pause; God wants an understanding brought forth, we so often talk about the unconditional love of God, God said; this is bad teaching as this leads people to wrong thinking. Nowhere in my Bible does it tell me, God’s love is unconditional. That would represent the ooey gooey love of God that allows us to live any lifestyle we want, constantly saying it’s OK, God understands; but where does it represent the severity of God? The Greek word is known as agape’ love, agape’ actually means to have free celebratory reign or as we know it, unconditional love. The Hebrew word ahavah is the better word, it means in brief form; God’s covering via a two-edged sword. One edge stands against the enemy while the other edge commits spiritual surgery, this spiritual surgery brings change! God still gives us free will and in that free will is choice, we can either lean to our own understanding; 2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. Or we can show God we truly love and honor Him; Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Now let us return to the meat of the message; if your leadership is more about friendship(s) than being about our Father’s business, then pray like Elisha did for Gehazi, that their eyes would be opened and the demonic spirits would be broken off, cast to the dry places, and not allowed to return. Pray that they will not be deceived by flattering words of those looking to be promoted, for their discernment, and the wisdom to do the right thing. Christ said; I have given all power and authority into your hands, if Christ in this same power and authority could command the demons to leave, save the lost, and bring forth healing, then why can’t we? Mat 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Here is a clue; if two or more come together in agreement, ready to fight, using God’s Word, then Jesus who is the Word, comes in the fullness of power and authority, and who actually can stand against that? If God is confident that His Word does exactly what He said it would do, then we should be just as confident! Remember the columns of angels I described to you earlier, God said they’re there at the ready, waiting for their assignments, my question to you is; why are they still there. Let us stand in confidence of God’s Word and ask our Father to send these angels out to fulfill assignments they’ve already been given. God is speaking; look to see the goodness of My mercy and love, watch lives be being changed as the darkened atmosphere clears, as we fight the good fight of faith. Let us pray, pray, pray, without losing heart, let us do the greater things we were called to do. The Lord says; I answer prayer, I will answer your prayers, I will guide your prayers and words, pray for them all with a heart of love. Stay tuned for part 5 where it all comes together!
Part 5 This, to the best of my knowledge is the last in this series and it troubled me in heart and spirit, before it came at much cost to me personally. God has made us through this series aware of many things going on in the church today, through the aforementioned parts 1-4, that God Himself finds abominable. God wants His church, Jesus’ betrothed to walk right by walking in the spirit and God knows, His church needs to be healed. Many people, through these writings have been hurt, or so they think and have claimed these hurts to be acts of division brought to the body. This, according to God is far from truth, all these things that God has spoken has riled pre-existing hurts or made one aware of their failings. 2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. God wants His church healed, but how can we know we need to be healed, especially from hidden hurts, if the hurts aren’t brought to the forefront of our awareness. How can we know we’re displeasing God one way or another, in our ignorance, if we’re not made aware of our failings. God wants His church healed, we are God’s most loved creation and how can we walk perfect in His sight, if through one means or another, we’re deceived? We cannot run around thinking I’m a Christian and cannot be deceived when God’s Word clearly tell us; Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Even the very elect can be deceived, this should also tell us we need to walk in the spirit, God first in all things, all else is secondary. If we get patted on the back to much and not giving ALL glory to God, taking none for ourselves, we can lay up before our minds, a false Messiah complex, unwillingly, unwittingly, become the all that and a bag of chips. Who is it you want to impress, man or God? There are different demonic spirits that are assigned to attack different ministries or the members of different ministries, their job is to bring division everywhere they can. It’s our job to fight them with the weapons God has given us, speak the Word and speak the life of the Word, ask the Father to send His angels out to battle for the sanctity of the church, the body, and the leadership. I read constantly where people are leaving churches for one reason or another, but it really is for one reason, lack of love. We say we love, but the truth of the matter is, how can we love when we don’t understand what God was talking about when He said love. If we see there is something wrong, do we go to God and ask Him to confirm, when He does, do we take our warfare stance and fight for what’s right. For the most part, no we don’t, we just pack our things and leave, until we find a church that seems comfortable. This is dangerous ground, are we being deceived, have we just stepped into doors where ears are tickled? If you’re suppose to leave, ask God where to go, sometimes He’ll just take you there, but either way, let’s do it God’s way. It’s high time we got out of the way and seek God, seek His Kingdom and righteousness and then obey Him all the way around. If we go somewhere and they shoot you, so what, pray and love the hell out of that place and them; that maybe why you’re there. If you wear your heart on your sleeve and someone punches you in the arm, hurting your heart, have compassion on them, you don’t know what they’re going through, nor do they you. You’ve heard it said; do unto others as you would have them do unto you, though this is not scriptural, this is Biblical. Stop whining about the little things, stop constantly finding fault out of your hurts and start crying out to God to heal the situation, ask Father to send His angels out to do battle.
We all see and hear of all the wars going on in the world, we all see and hear how much more intense the wars are, this is prophecy being fulfilled. What you see and hear is a physical apparition of spiritual things. If satan and his minions are making violent war on the kingdom, then it’s our job to make violent war for the kingdom. A wise man once said; if you’re not part of the solution, then you’re part of the problem. A wiser man said; if you’re not for me, then you’re against me. Listen, Jesus gave His all when He died for you, don’t you think it’s time we gave our all and live for Him? God wants to heal His church, the Father is tired of the church operating out of it’s hurts, jealousies, and familiar spirits, failing the whole calling; will you surrender to His will? Will you do what He said to do?
May God bless you, richly and warmly, and if you don’t know how to get there from here, seek His direction and keep seeking His direction for everything. I love you all! Remember! Mat 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
"The Spirit of Jezebel"... BY KENNETH WHITE
The Jezebel spirit has come against Christians in a fierce attack, intimidating many Christians and causing much destruction. It is called a Jezebel spirit because it has the nature of the wicked, historical Queen who killed the prophets of the lord. As someone once said:"She was totally responsible for corrupting and entire nation...Jezebel is fiercely independent and intensely ambitious for control. The name `Jezebel` literally means "without cohabitation'. She refuses to live together or ch-habit with anyone. Jezebel will not dwell with anyone unless she can control and dominate the relationship. When she seems submissive or `servant like`, it is only for the sake of gaining some strategic advantage. From her heart, she yields to no one. She insists on dominating and controlling every relationship". She has no gender; it will function as male or female. However, it especially energizes women who are insecure, vain, jealous and a desire to control. In Todays culture, it energizes feminists, and is the motivater of abortion. It is rampant in the entertainment industry, flaunting itself in its glamour and brazen desire to seduce the minds and affections of a nation.
In Revelation ch 2:20 we are told of Jezebel called a prophetess while seducing the servents of God.She is most often found in places of influence and leadership. Her supreme desire is to control so it manuevers clandestinely until it can gain the confidence of those it seeks to influence. In the Church she is the master of persuasion. It is strong willed, religious and very gifted. It may appear very loyal and will volunteer for special service. It may be the spouse of a pastor, or the pastor himself. However, you can tell this spirit by it`s desire to control. She will be your best friend and while you tell the deep things in your heart, she will use them against you as blackmail as a means to control or destroy you. Dick Bernal wrote " You can tell the truth about someone and still bring a curse on yourself if your motive is to hurt and discredit that individual. Truth is a two edged sword, like a surgeon`s knife. It can cut to heal, or like an enemies sword, it can cut to kill". The Jezebel spirit will seek to kill the true servant of God in any way possible. I know of some with this spirit in the area I live in and it is in control of our Government as well. To be continued...(Maybe)--KW "The Jezebel Spirit"--Part Two... I wish to state first that we all have a carnal nature wherin the spirit of Jezebel lives. However, those born of the Spirit recognize this and with the axe laid at the root of the old nature in us, we can see the slow death of a hindering spirit. I would like to quote Fuchia Pickett in her work on this subject which I am in agreement with. "Jezebel is not comfortable in a church where the Holy Spirit is given leadership. Jezebel cringes when Jesus and not the preacher is exhalted and worshipped. Repentance is greatly feared by one with a Jezebel spirit. He or she may feign repentence, but it just to protect their influence. The Jezebel spirit knows that true repentence brings the presence of Jesus, cleanses the Church and establishes it in purity and power thus defeating the usurping control of this evil spirit.
This spirit hates humility, always flaunts itself and seeks for attention. Though at times it seems to be self-sacrificing servant, its ulterior motive is for personal gain--to secure a place of influence and control. It also hates prayer. Jezebel`s control over Christians is ripped out of her hands by true intercessory prayer, setting Christians free while crippling this wicked spirit. As surely as Jehu`s horse trampled Jezebel and destroyed her(2King--9:33), we destroy the spirit of Jezebel as we humble ourselves and take upon a servants heart, giving the Holy Spirit His rightful place in our lives and churches. Our greatest corporate and personal defence against the spirit of Jezebel is to cultivate the nature of Christ in our hearts."--end quote. The Apostles Paul, Peter, and John warned of a time when we would be confronted by this wicked spirit in the earth, first in churches and then in our governments. She is responsible for the femenist movement, abortion, idolatry among men obsessed by a desire in them for the violence and competetion in the sports crazed world. Many of them completely lose any sense of Christ while they sat obsessed by what the spirit of Jezebel over this world produces. She has their allegience moreso then Jesus Christ. The entertainment industry as well is an offspring of her idolatry with celebreties earning millions living in adultery, and homosexuality in the open, to make it look presentable and acceptable. I dare say most leaders in todays churches are possessed byt this spirit. You cross them and don`t give them your allegience, mainly through using the scriptures to batter you with and create fear in you if you seek the Lord for yourself, or in many cases, they use tithes paying as a control method to create fear in you. They told me , "where will you turn to without us in case of sickness or death"? I told them I turn to Jesus who never has failed me.
This is a control method to keep you under their control. You see, this again is all about controlling you. If you are in touch with the lord for your self and are walking independent of their means and methods of control, then you are an enemy to them. If they can`t control you, then they will try to discredit you or destroy you. In the end, it is about your money and control is what they`re after. This started with the antichrists in the era of John`s writings up to this present day. And yes, a lot of what we experience in todays churches came from the early Roman Church with its Pope, Cardinals, and Bishops. these were people not anointed by the lord, but by the State. These men knew not God then and they do not know him now. Even our present civil government has strayed and is under the power and influence of this evil spirit which has it headquarters in Europe. Some of you need to do some homework and look into those pulling the strings for the puppets in leadership in world governments. YOu might be surprised to find a female spirit named Jezebel. She also has an effeminate side as well, trying to teach young men it is okay to be effeminate which is nothing but the spirit of Jezebel...To be continued(maybe) at a later date...Shalom--KW
Part Three A tolerance for Jezebel begins in our own inner sanctuary-- and it is here where it must be defeated. We need to ask the Lord to help us in our zeal of an uncompromising Jehu who cried out:"What peace, so long as the harlotries of...Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many? "(2King--9:22). The Lord used Jehu to destroy Jezebel. We need to have compassion for those who are captured by this evil spirit. However, like Jehu, we offer no mercy and no hope for reform and no sympathy to this demonic spirit. We do not live for our own comfort while her harlotries and witchcraft are rampant in our land.As we stand with the lord, His judgements will destroy the jezebel spirit. In the attack of this evil spirit against the Church, we se people rise up with an idolatrious desire to rule and to quieten the true spirit of prophesy in the Church. Satan is fearful of God`s voice, he is aware if we hear God`s voice we will follow the lord, and for this reason satan sent the Jezebel spirit to try to quieten the mouth of the prophets of the Lord. Many times this spirit works to destroy the credibility of true prophets, and to discourage them from desiring to speak God`s Word anymore. Elijah was tormented by Jezebel`s witchcraft after his victory on Mt. Carmel. She threatened his life; and he was in a state of dispair and depression, running for his life. (1st King 19:4). We you war against demonic powers of Jezebel, this may cause you to be distracted from the victory of the Lord in your life. The zeal of Jehu will help you to conquer this evil spirit with great success. Seek for this zeal in your life and you will be kept from Jezebel`s onslaught. The historical jezebel did not win! Her spirit was defeated at Calvary and her harlotries and witchcrafts will be destroyed in you and in the true Church when she puts an end to Jezebel, then she will face another spirit of witchcraft ready to strike another blow. To be continued...
Part Four Coming further from the abbys of Jezebel is the spirit of witchcraft. This spirit comes into churches and individual lives to dilute or alter the word of God to make it say something the Bible dosen`t say. Take for instance the message of the rapture. Anyone in contact with the Lord and are deep rooted in the word of God will not fall for this common fallacy. It is a lie from Jezebel(witchcraft)to create a false sense of hope and security in something that does not exist, yet countless millions of Christians believe this lie. They base their whole life on being raptured outta here to a celestial city somewhere over the rainbow that does not exist. You cross them on this and they will call you a heritic. The Apostle Paul wrote "to put on the whole armor of God, so we can stand against the wiles(deceptive thoughts)of the devil."(Eph 6:11).There is no reason to fear our opponent for we should know that "greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world".(1 Jn.4:4)Only our ignorance of this will defeat us. Witchcraft in the church simply means using manipulating supernatural forces to attain their own goals. They will use what ever power they have to control you and get you to follow a lie and miss God. They also want your money. They will beat you over the head with scriptures convincing you that you must pay your tithes to them or God won`t bless you. This is a big lie from their father, the devil. This is against scripture. They will play upon your emotions to lead you into a conversation to get you to reveal the deepest secrets of your heart only to keep them written down somewhere to use as extortion or blackmail against you. This happened to me once a few years ago. I was in a church I thought was spiritual, or it seemed like it on the surface. However, as the time passed I became aware of a Jezebel spirit in this church with the pastor totally under control of Jezebel. When I had spent several hours in conversation with him, I could sense something evil and very dark about him. Needless to say, I had to leave that place because of the evilness in it. Paul uses these terms to describe the works of witchcraft(or the flesh):" Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lascivousness, idolatry, witchcraft(rebellion),hatred, variance, emulations, murders, drunkeness,
revelings, and such like...(Gal. 5:19-21). These things will be the fruit of witchcraft for they are the works of a jezebel in the midst of a church. This spirit is counterfeit and run from it as hard as possible. You may ask "how can I tell whether it`s a Jezebel spirit or not"? The answer should be to check out the source and discern whether it is full of pride, arrogance, or deceit. If it gives glory to a man, then it is not of God. If it is full of flattery, then run from it. Again, this spirit in satan`s ministers goal is to control you and steal you blind. They want your allegience and they will mark you in your forehead with their mark, or else they will try to imtimidate you and use the scriptures to browbeat you with. They do not have the eternal word of God coming from them, but only the words of a harlot and a witch. Run for your life away from these false apostles who will try to kill you if possible with the WORD OF GOD. Run for you life...To be continued(I hope) KW
Breaking free from Mystery Babylon: what a great day is at hand!
SOON THAT BATTLE WILL BE OVER SOON THE LOSERS WILL SUFFER! BY PASTOR EMMANUEL BABA ISIAKA
THOSE PROBLEMS SHALL SOON BECOME PAST TENSE (HISTORY) THEY ARE HERE FOR A MOMENT AND NOT TO STAY. THE DIVINE SUPREME COUNCIL IN HEAVEN HAVE SERVES THEM A QUIT NOTICE AND YOUR DAYS OF CAPTIVITY ARE OVER AS THE LORD WILL CONTEND WITH THOSE CONTENDING WITH YOU! Memory Verse: "For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off." (Prov 23:18). Bible Reading: Proverbs 23:17-18 Isaiah 49:24-26 (Amplified Bible) 24. Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captives of the just be delivered? 25. For thus says the Lord: Even the captives of the mighty will be taken away, and the prey of the terrible will be delivered; for I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will give safety to your children and ease them. 26. And I will make those who oppress you consume themselves [in mutually destructive wars], thus eating their own flesh; and they will be drunk with their own blood, as with sweet wine; and all flesh will know [with a knowledge grounded in personal experience] that I, the Lord, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob. "And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their
cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage" (Exodus 2:23). After holding the Israelites in slavery for many years, the Egyptian king died. This means that no problem lasts forever. If this powerful king could die, then human enemies don't last forever. Why? According to Hebrews 9:27, they must keep an appointment with death. Every problem in your life has an expiry date beyond which it can no longer trouble you. In fact, at the point of expiration, some problems become the solution you have been seeking. What is more important is that you do not expire or retire before the expiration of the problem. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, you will see the end of that problem: it shall not see your end. You shall not expire before the expiration of your problem "For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off" (Prov 23:18). If you were in doubt before, do know today, that there is an end to your problems. Your human enemies cannot operate beyond a certain limit. If the Egyptian king could die, every strong man or woman in your life has an end. That strong man is limited. You shall see the end of satanic agents troubling you. This season, the Lord will cut off everything standing in your way to your breakthrough. God will cut them off so that your expectations shall be realized. For a user of this devotional, you have been wondering when God's promises to you will be fulfilled because of the strong presence of the enemy. Rejoice! The Lord will cut them off just to enable Him grant your expectations and fulfil His promise. Worship the Lord with all your heart and thank Him in advance. THE FATHER’S BLESSING:”I pray for someone reading this message today, the day of you captivity is over, every force suppressing your glory are going to face the wrath of God. Every tongue against you release are going to face divine condemnation. Every arrow and javelin thrown at you are subject to the order of "Return to senders” as they have the Lord God to contend with in the mighty name of Jesus.” (Amen) PRAYER ACTION FOR TODAY Thank God for causing your problems to expire and making you to see their end.
BY PASTOR JOEL MCNABB A PASTOR'S HEART A well spoken message stirs a heart to rejoice There is nothing like a strong, resilient voice But when sorrow comes, there is no better gift to impart Then the gift of a caring, pastor's heart A loving touch or a kind word A moment of counsel from God's holy word A telephone call--after you just heard.., Is the gift of our pastor's heart. Lord, bless this pastor In each new day Bless his ministry along the way For fame and fortune can never impart The precious gift of a caring pastor's heart Just a servant of Christ and at times a dear friend With a dersire to love God To the very end Tending his flock in the Savior's way Is the gift of a pastor's heart Striving to live as an apostle of Christ Serving his father giving Godly advice! Preaching and teaching and sharing the Word Is the gift of a caring pastor's heart.
Ye are the Salt of the Earth By Joel McNabb
Jesus said, earth” (Matt. 5: 13). The questions then arise, "What does he mean by the term salt? And why are we the salt of the earth?” These are very good questions to ask, and many of you may have these same questions, if you think that the things in the Bible mean anything. Why salt? Isn’t it just something that we put in food? This is not a question that can be an answered by a short comment or reply. Maybe some would just take for granted that Jesus said it and leave it at that, but we know that there was nothing Jesus said or did that wasn’t for a reason or to fulfill prophecies. John 6:38 says, "For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.” I hope you will have the time, as I proceed to answer what I see in the Bible as to why salt is mentioned here. Salt is a white powder or colorless crystalline solid, consisting mainly of sodium chloride and used for seasoning and preserving food. The word salary comes from a Latin word meaning salt. In days of the Roman Empire, salt was a precious enough commodity (as a seasoning and as a means of preserving food) that sometimes soldiers were paid in salt, which they could both use on their own food and trade for other things. That is where the expression "worth his salt" came from, meaning that a worker is worth what you are paying him. The shape of salt is also important to note here. The crystal structure of salt is a cube, each side of equal length: foursquare. The use of salt also has a healing virtue, and our consumption of it is a necessity in our daily diet.
According to Shirleys-Wellness- Cafe.com, in its article Salt Deficiency: the cause of many serious dis- eases, "An eight-year study of a New York City hypertensive population stratified for sodium intake levels found those on low-salt diets had more than four times as many heart attacks as those on normal-sodium diets – the exact opposite of what the "salt hypothesis” would have predicted. (1995). Dr. Jeffrey R. Cutler documented no health outcomes benefits of lower-sodium diets. Both sea salt and rock salt were well known to the ancient Greeks who noted that eating salty food affected basic body functions such as digestion and excretion (urine and stools). This led to salt being used medically. The healing methods of Hippocrates (460 BC) especially made frequent use of salt. Hippocrates mentions inhalation of steam from salt-water. We know to- day that the anti-inflammatory effects of inhaled salt provide relief from respiratory symptoms (c). Thus, 2000 years ago, Greek medicine had already discovered topical use of salt for skin lesions, drinking salty or mineralized waters for digestive troubles and in- haling salt for respiratory diseases!” Everything that God created on the earth reveals to us something about God. "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead” (Rom. 1:20). Everything that God created in the heavens and on the earth, even the salt that we use daily, will reveal something about God, and his work on earth with man (Col. 1:12-29).

In Matthew chapters 5 through 7, we read that one day Jesus was feeling a little crowded by all the people that were flocking to him. To get away from the multitude, he took a walk up on a nearby mount. Soon his disciples followed him, and he began to teach them a new set of Commandments. If you read carefully, you will see that he is not destroying or taking anything away from the Ten Commandments, but rather enhancing them, and making them stronger. Some think that this sermon was to all the people that were around Jesus at the time, but verse one and two are very clear that the disciples came to him alone, and he taught them, as he would often do. The prophecy fore- told that a prophet would arise like Moses. Jesus was that prophet, not coming to destroy the law but to fulfill it: to make it come alive. No longer was it just words on stone or parchment, but the word made flesh. Jesus did everything that was written in the law, the prophets, and the psalms concerning Him. Remember that the law had a shadow of good things to come and not the very image (Heb. 10:1). As Moses went up to the mount, so Jesus went up to a mount. Both were given commandments, and set up priest- hoods. That day on that mountain, Jesus was directly fulfilling the prophecy of Moses, and gave those disciples his new covenant, and made them the priests of that covenant by giving them the covenant of salt, as had also been given to Aaron and his sons (Num. 18:19). "All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the LORD, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the LORD unto thee and to thy seed with thee. To prove this, Jesus calls His disciples "the salt of the earth, because the priest that ministered in Aaron’s office in that day had lost the savour. No longer was he bearing the fruits of that Priesthood.
"If the salt hath lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men” (Matt. 5:13). God was ready to make a change of the priesthood, and with "the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law” (Heb. 7:12). From the time of Noah, it was the priest’s job to offer burnt offerings on an altar to the Lord, and it would come up before Him as a sweet savour. Throughout the Law of Moses, the Priests were to offer burnt offerings, according unto their manner, for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD. All offerings were to be offered with salt by the priests (Lev. 2:13). By the days of Jesus, the priests had become so corrupt that their offerings no longer had a pleasant smell before God. It was time for a change of the priesthood, and Jesus was setting it up. He gave the covenant of salt to those disciples whom he would leave in charge. Now when Jesus became a high priest after the order of Melchisedec, and gave gifts to men, He would already have the priesthood set in order. We can see that they were doing that job in Acts 6, by ordaining the seven men to take care of the business of the widows; they could now give themselves to continual prayer and ministry of the word, as the new priests of the Lord. After Israel had taken the land of promise, in the days of the Judges, there was no king in Israel and every- one interpreted the law and did what was right in their own eyes. Israel wanted a king so that they could be like all the rest of the nations around them, instead of trying to find out what God wanted. So the Lord gave them a King and chose Saul to rule the kingdom, but his pride got the best of him, and God had to replace him. From the sheepfolds of a man named Jesse, God took one of his sons, a young lad named David, and anointed him King over Israel, and gave him a covenant of salt (2 Chron. 13:5).
Now, Israel has two covenants of salt: one given to the priests forever and now to the king, both having to do with the ruling of Israel and governing of God’s people. So when Jesus said, "Ye are the salt of the earth,” it was to those men whom He had chosen to lead His people under the new priesthood and new covenant. The early church came under that apostles’ priesthood, and they abode steadfastly in the apostles’ doc- trine and fellowship. They did so throughout the ministries of Peter, James the Lord’s brother, and Jude. This fulfilled the allegory of the covenant of salt for the priesthood; but if all the scriptures have to be fulfilled before Jesus can return, then God will yet establish a kingdom with a covenant of salt, and our Lord will sit and reign on the throne of David in the tabernacle of David (Acts 3:21, Isa. 16:5, Amos 9:11, and Acts 15:16). Jesus will come again, and a throne will be established. He ordered it on the cross. Not only did He shed blood on the cross to save sinners, but He also purchased the church with His blood and gave Him- self for it. Most Christians teach and believe we are all the church and the body of Christ. Well if we are, then who will we rule? If Jesus set up leadership in the early church, who is to say that, at this end of the age, He will not do the same thing. Is not Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today and forever? We love to quote Heb. 13:8, but forget verses 7 and 17, "Remember and obey them which have the rule over you.” As in the book of Judges, even so today there is no king in Israel. Those who are Israelites inwardly all do that which it right in their own eyes. Why else would we have so many churches and beliefs today? You may say that Jesus is King and Lord of our lives now, but I ask you where is He now? Is not Jesus at the place where Steven saw Him, sitting at the right hand of the Father, as our High priest?
Jesus will be King of kings one day and soon, but God has to establish His kingdom once again on earth and give it to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. That kingdom, with the early resurrected saints, will be the Kings and Priests that will rule with Jesus, having the Covenants of Salt, in that city that is foursquare (the shape of a grain of salt). All nations will then come unto the New Jerusalem, and ask to be taught the way of the Lord and His laws. (Isa. 2:2-4, Mic. 4:1, Heb. 12:18-29, Rev. 20:1-5, and Rev. 21:129). Then shall every knee bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord; and they will have to come to the Feast of Tabernacles, and acknowledge His authority every year or suffer the consequences of famine in their land until they bow and confess that Jesus is the ruler, and also those that are with Him, who have suffered for the right to become kings and priest of the Lord. (Zec. 14:16- 21, 2 Tim. 2:12). "For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with heal- ing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts. Re- member ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse (Mal. 4:1-6).
The Lord hears our prayers today, but how much more will He hear when He smells the savory scent of their prayers when offered by the priest, the salt of the earth, as Job did for his children and also for his friends that had given him a hard time. God told Job to offer burnt of-ferings and pray for them, because Job’s prayers were acceptable, and God would hear him. We now wait for that day, when Jesus will send His messenger, who shall prepare the way, even the messenger of the covenant, the salt covenant of the leadership of God’s people. Not many preachers and ministers today will want to hear this messenger when he shows up, for he will be like a refiner’s fire, and fuller’s soap; he will purify the sons of Levi, God’s ministry of today, to purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer once again an offering in righteousness. Then will the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant and come up with a sweet smell unto the Lord, as in the days of old, and in the former years, the days of Peter and John (Mal. 3:1-5). Seek the Lord, saints. Be prepared. Continue to send up your prayers for the Lord of Glory to raise up mighty men of God, and that the offering of the Gentiles might come up with acceptance on the altar of God. The Lord bless and keep you and make His face to shine upon you and give you peace.

HOW DID CHRISTIANS FEEL ABOUT THE SHABBAT 1500"S /1800'S BY MORDERCHAI RAMOS
When was Sunday first called the "Sabbath"? For many centuries, Christians were clear to distinguish between the Sabbath and Sunday (the Lord's Day), then ... [Heinrich] Bullinger had a high view of the law, and differed from Calvin regarding the Sabbath. For Bullinger, Sunday was to be observed the same way in principle that the Sabbath was, with Sunday actually becoming the Sabbath for the Christian. Calvin, on the other hand, held that Sunday is not the Sabbath. The Puritans would follow Bullinger on this point. Leonard Pine www.wrs.edu/Materials for Web Site/Journals/3-2 20Aug-1996/Pine -Heinrich Bullinger.pdf This seems to have happened about 1540 A.D., and was the start of the widespread naming of Sunday as the "Sabbath" in Christianity. American Congregationalists: No authority in the New Testament for substitution of the first day for the seventh "The current notion that Christ and His apostles authoritatively substituted the first day for the seventh, is absolutely without any authority in the New Testament." Dr. Lyman Abbott, in the Christian Union, June 26, 1890
Anglican: Nowhere commanded to keep the first day "And where are we told in the Scriptures that we are to keep the first day at all? We are commanded to keep the seventh; but we are nowhere commanded to keep the first day. The reason whywe keep the first of the week holy instead of the seventh is for the same reason that we observe many other things, - not because the Bible, but because the church, has enjoined [commanded] it." Isaac Williams, Plain Sermons on the Catechism, Vol. 1, pp 334, 336. Anglican/Episcopal: The Catholics changed it "We have made the change from the seventh day to the first day, from Saturday to Sunday, on the authority of the one holy, Catholic, Apostolic Church of Christ." Episcopalian Bishop Symour, Why we keep Sunday. Baptist: Sunday Sabbath not in the scriptures "There was and is a commandment to keep holy the Sabbath day, but that Sabbath day was not on Sunday. It will be said, however, and with some show of triumph, that the Sabbath was transferred from the Seventh to the First day of the week, with all its duties, privileges and sanctions. Earnestly desiring information on this subject, which I have studied for many years, I ask, where can the record of such a transaction be found? Not in the New Testament - absolutely not. There is no scriptural evidence of the change of the Sabbath institution from the Seventh to the First day of the week ... "I wish to say that this Sabbath question, in this aspect of it, is the gravest and most perplexing question connected with Christian institutions which at present claims attention from Christian people; and the only reason that it is not a more disturbing element in Christian thought and in religious discussion is because the Christian world has settled down content on the conviction that some how a transference has taken place at the beginning of Christian history.
"To me it seems unaccountable that Jesus, during three years' discussion with His disciples, often conversing with them upon the Sabbath question, discussing it in some of its various aspects, freeing it from its false glosses [of Jewish traditions], never alluded to any transference of the day; also, that during forty days of His resurrection life, no such thing was intimated. Nor, so far as we know, did the Spirit, which was given to bring to their remembrance all things whatsoever that He had said unto them, deal with this question. Nor yet did the inspired apostles, in preaching the gospel, founding churches, counseling and instruction those founded, discuss or approach the subject. "Of course, I quite well know that Sunday did come into use in early Christian history as a religious day, as we learn from the Christian Fathers and other sources. But what a pity that it comes branded with the mark of paganism, and christened with the name of a sun god, when adopted and sanctioned by the papal apostasy, and bequeathed as a sacred legacy to Protestantism!" Dr. Edward Hiscox, author of The Baptist Manual. From a photostatic copy of a notarized statement by Dr. Hiscox. "There was never any formal or authoritative change from the Jewish seventh day Sabbath to the Christian first day observance" William Owen Carver, The Lord's Day in One Day p.49 Church of England: No warrant from scripture for the change of the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday "Neither did he (Jesus), nor his disciples, ordain another Sabbath in the place of this, as if they had intended only to shift the day; and to transfer this honor to some other time. Their doctrine and their practice are directly contrary, to so new a fancy. It is true, that in some tract of time, the Church in honor of his resurrection, did set apart that day on the which he rose, to holy exercises: but this upon their own authority, and without warrant from above, that we can hear of; more then the general warrant which God gave his Church, that all things in it be done decently, and in comely order."
Dr. Peter Heylyn of the Church of England, quoted in History of the Sabbath, Pt 2, Ch.2, p7 Congregationalist: The Christian Sabbath' [Sunday] is not in the Scripture "The Christian Sabbath' [Sunday] is not in the Scripture, and was not by the primitive [early Christian] church called the Sabbath." Timothy Dwight, Theology, sermon 107, 1818 ed., Vol. IV, p49 [Dwight (17521817) was president of Yale University from 1795-1817]. Disciples of Christ: It is all old wives' fables to talk of the 'change of the Sabbath' "If it [the Ten Commandments] yet exists, let us observe it ... And if it does not exist, let us abandon a mock observance of another day for it. 'But,' say some, 'it was changed from the seventh to the first day.' Where? when? and by whom? - No, it never was changed, nor could it be, unless creation was to be gone through again: for the reason assigned [in Genesis 2:1-3] must be changed before the observance or respect to the reason, can be changed. It is all old wives' fables to talk of the 'change of the Sabbath' from the seventh to the first day. If it be changed, it was that august personage changed it who changes times and laws ex officio, - I think his name is "Doctor Antichrist.'" Alexander Campbell, The Christian Baptist, February 2, 1824, vol 1, no. 7 Episcopal: Bible commandment says the seventh day "The Bible commandment says on the seventh-day thou shalt rest. That is Saturday. Nowhere in the Bible is it laid down that worship should be done on Sunday." Phillip Carrington, quoted in Toronto Daily Star, Oct 26, 1949 [Carrington (1892-), Anglican archbishop of Quebec, spoke the above in a message on this subject delivered to a packed assembly of clergymen. It was widely reported at the time in the news media]. Lutheran: They err in teaching Sunday Sabbath But they err in teaching that Sunday has taken the place of the Old Testament Sabbath and therefore must be kept as the seventh day had to be kept by the children of Israel ... These churches err in their teaching, for scripture has in no way ordained the first day of the week in place of the Sabbath. There is simply no law in the New Testament to that effect"
John Theodore Mueller, Sabbath or Sunday, pp.15, 16 "We have seen how gradually the impression of the Jewish Sabbath faded from the mind of the Christian church, and how completely the newer thought underlying the observance of the first day took possession of the church. We have seen that the Christian of the first three centuries never confused one with the other, but for a time celebrated both." The Sunday Problem, a study book by the Lutheran Church (1923) p.36 "They [Roman Catholics] They refer to the Sabbath-day as having been changed into the Lord's Day, contrary to the Decalog, as it seems. Neither is there any example whereof they make more than concerning the changing of the Sabbath-day. Great, say they, is the power of the Church, since it has dispensed with one of the Ten Commandments!" Augsburg Confession of Faith, art. 28; written by Melanchthon and approved by Martin Luther, 1530; www.iclnet.org Methodist: Jesus did not abolish the moral law - no command to keep holy the first day The moral law contained in the Ten Commandments, and enforced by the prophets, He Jesus did not take away. It was not the design of His coming to revoke any part of this. This is a law which can never be broken ... Every part of this law must remain in force upon all mankind and in all ages; as not depending either on time or place, or any other circumstances liable to change, but on the nature of man, and their unchangeable relation to each other." John Wesley, Sermons on Several Occasions, Vol.1, No. 25 "It is true that there is no positive command for infant baptism. Nor is there any for keeping holy the first day of the week. Many believe that Christ changed the Sabbath. But, from His own words, we see that He came for no such purpose. Those who believe that Jesus changed the Sabbath base it only on a supposition." Amos Binney, Theological Compendium, 1902 edition, pp 180-181, 171 [Binney (1802-1878), Methodist minister and presiding elder, whose Compendium was published for forty years in many languages, also wrote a Methodist New Testament Commentary].
"Take the matter of Sunday. There are indications in the New Testament as to how the church came to keep the first day of the week as its day of worship, but there is no passage telling Christians to keep that day or to transfer the Jewish Sabbath to that day." Moody Bible Institute: "Sabbath was before Sinai" "I honestly believe that this commandment [the Sabbath commandment] is just as binding today as it ever was. I have talked with men who have said that it has been abrogated [abolished], but they have never been able to point to any place in the Bible where God repealed it. When Christ was on earth, He did nothing to set it aside; He freed it from the traces under which the scribes and Pharisees had put it, and gave it its true place. 'The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath' [mark 2:27]. It is just as practicable and as necessary for men today as it ever was - in fact, more than ever, because we live in such an intense age. "The [Seventh-day] Sabbath was binding in Eden, and it has been in force ever since. This Fourth Commandment [Exodus 20:8-11] begins with the word 'remember,' showing that the Sabbath had already existed when God wrote the law on the tables of stone at Sinai. How can men claim that this one commandment has been done away with when they admit that the other nine are still binding? "This Fourth is not a commandment for one place, or one time, but for all places and times." D.L. Moody, at San Francisco, Jan. 1st, 1881. Presbyterian: Sunday kept the Gentiles happy "Sunday being the first day of which the Gentiles solemnly adored that planet and called it Sunday, partly from its influence on that day especially, and partly in respect to its divine body (as they conceived it) the Christians thought fit to keep the same day and the same name of it, that they might not appear carelessly peevish, and by that means hinder the conversion of the Gentiles, and bring a greater prejudice that might be otherwise taken against the gospel"
Roman Catholic: No such law in the Bible "Nowhere in the bible do we find that Jesus or the apostles ordered that the Sabbath be changed from Saturday to Sunday. We have the commandment of God given to Moses to keep holy the Sabbath day, that is, the seventh day of the week, Saturday. Today, most Christians keep Sunday because it has been revealed to us by the [Roman] church outside the bible." Catholic Virginian, Oct. 3, 1947 "You may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctified." James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of Our Fathers (1917 ed.), pp.72,73 "If Protestants would follow the Bible, they should worship God on the Sabbath Day. In keeping the Sunday they are following a law of the Catholic Church." Albert Smith, chancellor of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, replying for the cardinal in a letter of Feb. 10, 1920. Question: "Have you not any other way of proving that the Church has power to institute festivals of precept?" Answer: "Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her - she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday, the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday, the seventh day, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority" "Question: How prove you that the Church hath power to command feasts and holydays? Answer: By the very act of changing the Sabbath into Sunday, which Protestants allow of; and therefore they fondly contradict themselves, by keeping Sunday strictly, and breaking most other feasts commanded by the same Church." Henry Tuberville, An Abridgment of the Christian Doctrine (1833 approbation), p.58 (Same statement in Manual of Christian Doctrine, ed. by Daniel Ferris [1916 ed.], p.67)
"The Catholic Church, ... by virtue of her divine mission, changed the day from Saturday to Sunday." The Catholic Mirror, official organ of Cardinal Gibbons, Sept. 23, 1893. "1. Is Saturday the 7th day according to the Bible and the 10 Commandments? "I answer yes. "2. Is Sunday the first day of the week and did the Church change the 7th day, Saturday, for Sunday, the 1st day? "I answer yes. "3. Did Christ change the day? "I answer no! Faithfully yours, "J. Cardinal Gibbons" Gibbons' autograph letter. Some theologians have held that God likewise directly determined the Sunday as the day of worship in the NEW LAW, that he himself has explicitly substituted Sunday for the Sabbath. But this theory is entirely abandoned. It is now commonly held that God simply gave His church the power to set aside whatever day or days she would deem suitable as holy days. The church chose Sunday, the first day of the week, and in the course of time added other days as holy days." John Laux, A Course in Religion for Catholic High Schools and Academies 1936, vol.1 p.51 "Question: Which is the Sabbath day? Answer: Saturday is the Sabbath day. Question: Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday? Answer: We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday." Peter Geiermann, The Convert's Catechism of Catholic Doctrine (1946 ed.), p.50. Geiermann received the "apostolic blessing" of Pope Pius X on his labors, January 25, 1910.
"The Church changed the observance of the Sabbath to Sunday by right of the divine, infallible authority given to her by her Founder, Jesus Christ. The Protestant, claiming the Bible to be the only guide of faith, has no warrant for observing Sunday. In this matter the Seventh Day Adventist is the only consistent Protestant. The Catholic Universe Bulletin, Aug. 14, 1942, p.4 "The observance of Sunday by the Protestants is an homage they pay, in spite of themselves, to the authority of the [Catholic] church." Monsignor Louis Segur, Plain Talk About the Protestantism of Today (1868), p. 213 "We are, therefore, to acknowledge one God, infinite, eternal, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, the creator of all things, most wise, most just, most good, most holy. We must love him, fear him, honour him, trust in him, pray to him, give him thanks, praise him, hallow his name, obey his commandments, and set times apart for his service, as we are directed in the third and fourth Commandments, for this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments, and his commandments are not grievous. I John v. 3. And these things we must do not to any mediators between him and us, but to him alone, that he may give his angels charge over us, who, being our fellowservants, are pleased with the worship we give to their God. And this is the first and the principal part of religion. This always was, and always will be the religion of God's people, from the beginning to the end of the world." EFFICACY OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS: BY Dr Wole Gbogboade
TEXT: Exodus 12: 12-14 (N.I.V) INTRODUCTION: April is called the month of Abib in Jewish calendar. The significance of this month is so much in their lives and history. It is the month of exodus when God delivered them from Pharaoh and led them on their way to the promise land. Before they left Egypt, they observed Passover which marked their deliverance from draconian taskmasters under Pharaoh’s authority. When every effort to get them freed proved abortive because pharaoh was adamant, the Lord told Moses to instruct all Jews in Egypt to kill sheep or goat per household and mark their houses with the blood of the sheep so that as the Lord would visit Egyptians with terrible plaque, He would Passover the Jews by the reason of the blood mark on them. " On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn- both men and animals- and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt, I am the Lord The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt Ex 12: 12-13
The blood saved the Israelites from destruction while the same blood destroyed Egyptians and their gods. The same blood transferred the wealth of the Egyptians to the Jews, the Red sea opened up for them to pass through dry land by the Lord’s command. The same Red Sea destroyed Pharaoh and his army. " By faith the people passed through the Red sea as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned ” Heb 11: 29 BLESSING OF THE BLOOD. Rev. 1: 5-6 1. Forgiveness of sin: …. And without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” Heb. 9: 22 The blood shed by Our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary is the acceptable and permanent atonement for the remission of man’s sin. No more blood of goat, sheep etc for atonement. Jesus said, "It is finish” i.e no more sacrifices for atonement as far as sin is concerned. He has already paid the full and final price for redemption. Heb. 9: 10 b. Salvation: Man can only tap into the finished work by believing the gospel, repent of sin and ask for forgiveness by Christ Jesus. Then make Jesus your Saviour and Lord over your life. 1 Pet 1: 18-19, Isa 1:18-19, Rev 5: 9 c. Justification: Rom 5:9, No more guilt because by His resurrection, we are justified which means, just as if we never sinned. Salvation brings man into a state of innocence before God. Jesus has taken man’s sin and the curse of the law upon His own head (thorn of crown) on the cross to give man His own innocence. . Therefore, no more need for calves’s blood which does only ceremonial atonement. If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed. 2. Healing: Jesus received 39 stripes by whips with sharp objects that tore His flesh. The blood and water that came out from His body is for healing. 1 Peter 2: 24
3. Deliverance from Curses: Gal 3:13, 1Pet 2:9 . The blood of Jesus from the crown of thorns has broken the curse of the law and the power of hardship / struggles from Believers’ lives and cause the Gentiles who believe in Christ to have access to the blessings of Abraham, the father of faith. Gal 3:14 4. Blessings: Apart from that mention above the bible says, Jesus was rich but, became poor for us so, that we might become rich. II Cor 8: 9. The riches of Christ available for Christians is first spiritual and then soul, financial /material. 111 John 2. Divine revelation through wisdom of God and His creative ability can be tapped into by people of God for our prosperity; spirit, soul and body. Instead of slaves of sin that we were under the law, Jesus through His blood shed has redeemed/freed us and made us kings and priests to serve our Father. Rev 1: 5-6( NIV) 5 Serve: Luke 1: 74, Heb 9: 14, 13:20-21 Believers receive empowerment to serve the Lord our God in an acceptable way. 6. Warfare: Rev 12:11, 1 Pet 2: 6-8. The same blood of Jesus was able to conquer the devil, principalities and powers publicly Col. 1:15. The blood of Jesus is a powerful instrument with the word of God to break satanic yoke and set captives free. Believers have this authority through Christ. The devil can never cross the bloodline. He could not cross it in the Red sea, on the cross, in heaven, on earth even beneath the earth Phil 2: 8-11, Heb 11: 28-29 (NIV) 7. Covenant: Since covenants are usually made among men by blood oath, Jesus shed His blood as the only mark of covenant between God and man. Heb. 13: 20-21, Mt 26:26-28. The blood is seal of blessing for Believers in Christ. JESUS IS LORD!
Reason One for Christians to Celebrate Passover: The Bread BY DAN & BRENDA CATHCART
The following essay is from our book titled "Reasons for Christians to Celebrate the Biblical Feasts”. What are those strange Feasts spoken of in the Old Testament? In the Gospels we see that Jesus and His disciples celebrated them. Did you know the the word translated as "Feast” is the the Hebrew word "moed” and has nothing to do with food? It means "appointed time or divine appointment”! God placed in His word "divine appointments” for us to meet with Him! These short essays examine these important appointments and give you reason to incorporate them into your life. The book is available from Amazon.com and from El Shaddai Ministries at www.elshaddaiministries.us/storefront/reasons_n.html. Luke 22:19-20 NKJV 19 And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me." 20 Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you. This passage is very familiar to Christians. We read these words of Jesus every time we have communion. But what bread and what cup is Jesus talking about? Luke tells us that this is a Passover meal in Luke 22:13-14. The bread Jesus is talking about is a specific piece of bread that is eaten at a specific time in the Passover Seder or order of service.
First, this bread is matzah or unleavened bread representing the absence of decay. Decay comes from death which we know originally comes from sin, specifically the sin of Adam (Romans 5:14). The Passover meal institutes the Feast of Unleavened bread which begins just after the Passover meal itself begins. The Israelites were to eat only unleavened bread during this seven day feast. In fact, they were to search out their houses and remove all the leaven. Unleavened bread does not decay or mold. It is like a package of soda crackers; it can sit in your cupboard for years and not get moldy. As such, it has the opposite affect of sin which leads to death and decay. David prophesies in Psalm 16:10 that God would not suffer His Holy One to see decay referring to Jesus’ death and resurrection before His body could decay. Paul tells us that leavening represents sin referring specifically to the bread at Passover. 1 Corinthians 5:6-7 NKJV 6 Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? 7 Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Paul goes on to say that those who eat unworthily of this bread, who harbor sin in their lives, will be prone to sickness and early death. (1Cor. 11:27-30) Second, the bread is called the bread of affliction in remembrance of the affliction of their slavery in Egypt. Deuteronomy 16:3 NKJV 3 "You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days you shall eat unleavened bread with it, that is, the bread of affliction (for you came out of the land of Egypt in haste), that you may remember the day in which you came out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life.
As the Passover Seder progresses, Jesus dips a piece of the bread of affliction into bitter herbs and gives it to Judas Iscariot the one who would betray him. (John 13:26) Judas would taste the bitterness of condemnation and would later hang himself. Jesus would experience the bitterness of betrayal. But after the bitterness comes redemption. Later in the meal, a different piece of unleavened bread is eaten. Before the Seder begins, there are three pieces of unleavened bread set aside in a special holder. After the Seder begins, the middle piece of bread is removed, twothirds of it broken off, wrapped in linen and hidden away. After the meal is finished, the children seek and find this hidden piece of bread called the afikomen or "that which comes after.” It is this piece of bread that Jesus says represents His body and is broken for them. Jesus’ body was broken, wrapped in linen and hidden away in the grave. After three days, He rose from the dead and those who eat of the bread He gives them will have eternal life. John 6:51 NKJV 51 "I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world." Christians can celebrate Passover to remember His body that is broken for us. ברוך שלום Shalom and be Blessed Dan & Brenda Cathcart Visit our web site at www.moedministries.com
Reason Two for Christians to Celebrate Passover: The Cup The following essay is from our book titled "Reasons for Christians to Celebrate the Biblical Feasts”. Luke tells us in Luke 22:13-14 that this is a Passover meal. The cup that Jesus is referring to is actually the third cup drank at a specific time in the Passover Seder or order of service. There are four cups of wine served at a Passover Seder each with a meaning from Exodus 6:6-7. "Therefore say to the children of Israel: 1) 'I am the LORD; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, 2) I will rescue you from their bondage, and 3) I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. 4) 'I will take you as My people, and I will be your God.
Then you shall know that I am the LORD your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. The first cup is the cup of sanctification setting His people aside for Him. Exodus 2:24 NKJV 24 So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. The second cup is the cup of deliverance breaking the chains that hold them to Egypt. He sets them free from slavery. John 8:34-36 NKJV 34 Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 "And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. The third cup is the cup of redemption. It is this cup the Jesus says is the new covenant in His blood. Moses said that God brought them out of Egypt with great judgments, signs and wonders. Peter says that we are bought with the blood of Jesus which is more precious that any earthly wealth. 1 Peter 1:18-19 NKJV 18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. The fourth cup is the cup of acceptance of hope. Jesus did not drink of this cup. He said that He would drink it again with them in His kingdom. Mark 14:25-26 NKJV 25 "Assuredly, I say to you, I will no longer drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God." 26 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
We drink the fourth cup in anticipation of His return. He promises us that He will come again and that where He is we will be also. So, we can celebrate the Passover and as we drink of the cups, we can remember that we are set aside for God, the God who keeps His covenant for thousands of generations. We can remember that we are set free from the slavery of the flesh that leads to sin and death. We can remember that Jesus paid our price that we could not pay. And we can anticipate that He is coming again and He will take us as His people. Revelation 22:7 NKJV 7 "Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book." ברוך שלום Shalom and Be Blessed Dan & Brenda Cathcart For this and other blog posts, please visit our blog at www.moedtorah.blogspot.com And our ministry website at www.moedministries.com
The Kingdom Church : BY DR LEONARD ROBINSON
Every Church is [not] a Kingdom Church. Many theologians believe that the Kingdom of God and the Chruch are the same thing and they are not. The Kingdom of God - Basileia = Sovereign, Royal Rule, Dominion, Reign, Authority If you are not seeking first the Kingdom of God, if you are not studying the Kingdom you are disobedient. Matthew 6:33 is a commandment of Jesus. Its not optional. According to W.E. Vines Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words, plainly put the Kingdom of God is God's rule, His reign period. The Church that Jesus is building is a product of the reign and rule of God in all things. The 5-Fold ministry gifts of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher knew the Kingdom and what trained from the outset to know and understand that Jesus was the Messiah King who brought the Kingdom into the earth. Some still sought for a physical Kingdom but they operated from a spiritual Kingdom all the while as they obeyed Jesus in all things that He had instructed them to say and to do. Today there are those who say they are apostles and are not, and those who say they are prophets but they prophesy out of the imagine of their own hearts, prophesying peace when there is no peace. There are evangelists with no track record of soul winning or reconciling man back to God in any way.
Those who lay claim to the Apostolic and Prophetic restoration movement and those who are Bishops who don't know the Kingdom have been seduced and many have fallen into selective obedience and selective obedience, or partial obedience is still disobedience. The Kingdom Church yields to the sovereign rule and reign of God. It does not halt between two opinions. The Church is not the Kingdom of God. It (Church) is the called out, hand picked representatives that Jesus poured Himself into, making them representatives of the same Kingdom Jesus represented. The Church is an embassy, an outpost of the Kingdom of God in the earth. This embassy is composed of Ambassadors of the Kingdom who enjoy diplomatic immunity. The enemy can't touch you when you are a hand picked representative of the King. As the Church you are the called out ones who have been translated out of the dominion (kingdom) of darkness and translated (transferred) into the Kingdom of the Son of God's love. The Church is called to submit to the sovereignty of the King. The Kingdom came into you as righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost at the same time you were brought into the Kingdom of God's dear Son, but you can only be the Kingdom in so far as you are submitted to the sovereignty of the King. The role of the Church isn't to build the Kingdom, its already built. Your role is to advance the Kingdom, move it forward as you take the reality of the Kingdom into the nations of the world. Jesus in the establishment of the Church calls you and or reveals that you are six (6) things you need to know and see yourself as.
1. Disciples = Students/Learners. To the degree you stop learning you've died. Remain teachable. Never stop learning. God is always revealing something new, another mystery, another revelation of the Kingdom. The Holy Spirit is the teacher. Don't let your pastor, the professor or anyone else do all your studying for you. Be the disciplined student/learner God has called you to be. 2. Witnesses = Martyrs. Until you are willing to be a bold effective witness for what you've seen and what you've heard, so much so that you are willing to die for what God the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit have revealed to you, then you are not walking in the fullness of who God has called you to be as a hand picked representative of the Kingdom and our Christ. Stephen was the best example that we can immediately see. He while being stoned to death never compromised who he had become because of Jesus. Instead he acted just like Jesus even unto his death. Stephen when to his death saying Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. Today you are going to have to ask yourself do you really believe, even if it meant you were going to die for what you believed. Can we face death while at the same time forgiving those who are persecutors? 3. Ambassadors = Here again, you've been given diplomatic immunity. The enemy can't touch you and you are called to represent the government of the Kingdom of God only, not your opinions, not the ideas of dead men who did not know God. Your thoughts, ideas, opinions and views must reflect the government you've been called to represent and the Father promises to take care of you, provide for you, food, shelter, clothing, transportation, whatever you need in representing the government you've been made to be a part of. 4. Kings = Rulers...I was in Pittsburgh at KVMI preaching on TRANSFORMATION and the Lord said that He wasn't raising disciples, learners as such but He was really raising Kings/rulers who were to take the same kingdom dominion, authority and power that He has and use this transference of power everywhere they went. Jesus was raising followers who would take authority over sickness, disease, infirmity and affliction in the same way that He did.
One of the main keys to answered prayer is to be doing the same work that Jesus did. Jesus came preaching, teaching and demonstrating the Kingdom of God throughout everywhere He went and He was training these disciples to be Kings doing the same thing He did in bringing the government of the Kingdom of God into the earth. John in Revelations says that Jesus washed us and cleansed us from our sins in His own blood and have made us unto God and nation of Kings and priests. As Kings you are royalty and reign with Christ in this life and the life to come. Priests = Ministers who remain in the presence of God living to fulfill the role of service to God and man, as we manifest the manifold wisdom of God. As the priests/ministers of God we are called to serve mankind reconciliation, bringing man back to God that man would reconnect with their original image and likeness. As ministers we offer not only the service of reconciliation but also the word of reconciliation. As the priests of God we have access to the Father and we make intercession in the presence of the Father while receiving the mysteries from the Father that are designed to bring revelation knowledge and understanding to the people God has appointed you to serve. Sons = Face it! You are now a son/daughter of the Most High God. He has made a supernatural investment in you in adopting you into the family of God. Supernaturally we've been grafted in and made to be as God is in the earth. As the sons of God we live in God's image and likeness and manifest His glory throughout the earth in the same way Jesus manifest the Father's glory throughout the earth. As the manifested sons of God we are His offspring. Everything the Father has we have. The Church is not: An Institution An Organization Membership Drive Denomination The Kingdom Church Vision & Mission:
To establish the Kingdom of God in our community by fulfilling the great commission in our daily lives. You are to take the sovereign rule, reign and dominion of God in you and through you everywhere you go. To work, to your business, your school, in your family, in your household, everywhere you go you are to take the revelation, reality and priority of the Kingdom everywhere. No longer ask people to come to your Church. Don't ask them to come here your pastor ever again. You BE the Church and take the Church to the people. Don't invite the people to come to your building. Be the Church! Take the Church to the people and once they experience the truth come alive in their midst they will come to your building. The Kingdom Church acknowledges that establishing the Kingdom was the central theme of Christ ministry. Mark 1:14-15 Matt. 4:23 Matt. 9:35 The Kingdom of God represents God's place or realm of authority here in the earth. You and I were brought into the Kingdom through the New Birth. Eph. 2:5-6 Col. 1:13 Rom. 14:17
If your Church or Church leadership does not acknowledge the central message of Jesus and rejects the Kingdom out of hand it could very well be that either you have established or are participating with those who have no more than a religious system we're calling the Church, but is not the Church Jesus is building. Exercise your faith in the power, purpose and priority of the King and His Kingdom. Begin living in the right now reality of the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom Church yields to the authority of the Kingdom and God uses us to influence the world. Make up your mind that the TRANSFORMATION starts with you. When you yield to the King and the Kingdom your obedience causes the transformation necessary for Christ character to come through you. Are you a Kingdom Church or just another religious institution?
News Letter 5847-003 12th day of the 1st month 5847 years after the creation of Adam The 1st Month in the Second year of the third Sabbatical Cycle The Third Sabbatical Cycle of the 119th Jubilee Cycle The Sabbatical Cycle of Earthquakes Famines, and Pestilences. April 16, 2011 Shabbat Shalom Brethren, This News Letter is intended for Shabbat on Saturday but I want to send this out early as there are many new people who have been writing asking how to keep Unleavened bread and the feast at this time. You can do a search online by asking the questions. But I have a few points on deleavening below. In the News letter I go through the foot washing teaching I follow the night before the Passover meal is eaten. I try to make it a point to eat lamb at the Passover meal and I hope this explanation helps clear up any confusion some of you seem to be having. So many want to do Passover but do not know what to do or how to prepare. Those of you who do know need to begin to speak out more and help teach. Stand in the gap and teach the new ones how to be Torah observant. Those of you who are new do the best you can and begin the learning process. You will get better with time. Removing leaven is a physical symbol of the spiritual process of removing sin. 1 John 3:4 Sin is the transgression of the law. Yeast, like sin, multiplies rapidly
and spreads like a contagion. Here are some points to consider: Purge out malice and wickedness (1 Corinthians 5:7-8). These are general terms for evil, the opposite of Yehovah's will. "This is leaven that sours the mind to a great degree," wrote Matthew Henry in his commentary on these verses. Watch out for the leaven of hypocrisy (Luke 12:1). Some crumbs are well hidden from others (and even from ourselves), but to Yehovah there is nothing "hidden that will not be known" (Luke 12:2). David asked Yehovah to "cleanse me from secret faults" (Psalm 19:12). Paul warned of the attitudes that would be widespread in the last days (2 Timothy 3:1-5). Are any "crumbs" of self-love, pride, unthankfulness, etc., lurking in our "home"? Galatians 5:19-21 also lists the works of the flesh, the attitudes and actions we too easily become infected with. Replace these things with the spiritual unleavened bread of sincerity and truth (1 Corinthians 5:8). Galatians 5:22-23 lists the fruit of the Spirit. Leaven is an ingredient that produces fermentation or a chemical process to make dough rise. Leaven includes yeast and chemical leavening agents such as baking powder, baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and potassium bicarbonate. Leavened foods can include such things as bread, cookies, cake and some crackers, cereals and pies that contain leavening. The Feast of Unleavened Bread gets its name from the requirement to get rid of and avoid leavened bread and eat unleavened bread for these seven days (Exodus 12:15). During this time leaven is used as another symbol of sin. Since leaven puffs things up, it is associated with that root of many sins, pride. Some of the other spiritually damaging sins that leaven pictures in the Bible are malice, wickedness, hypocrisy and wrong teachings (1 Corinthians 5:8; Luke 12:1; Matthew 16:11-12).
During Unleavened Bread we are to have no leaven or leavened products in our home (Exodus 12:15; 13:7). This includes yeast, a biological leavening agent that produces fermentation, and chemical leavening agents such as baking powder, baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and potassium bicarbonate. These are ingredients to look for on labels. Items such as bread, cake, crackers, cookies, prepared cereals and pies that contain leavening must be put out. Doing this is symbolic of putting both the visible and hidden sins out of our lives. Although the following ingredients are associated with leavening products, they are not by themselves leavening agents: brewer's yeast, yeast extract (a flavouring), cornstarch and cream of tartar (a dry acid). Cream of tartar, being an acid, merely neutralizes the alkaline nature of baking soda and does not, by itself, cause dough to rise. STUDENTS OF THE VIVIAN NOSKEY /AFRICAN VOICE IN THE WILDRENESS INTERNATIONAL SAYS THANK YOU FOR RESHAPING THEIR FUTURE! BY EVANGELIST FAVOR P. LIBERTY In Africa today there is so much suffering and in many cases the women have to grow up fast or drop out of school to live on their own in order to fend for themselves or help out in the family. There are almost no jobs for most of them and the unlucky majority ends up as sex slaves while others become immature baby mothers or school drop outs. That is why when the opportunity pop up to learn a trade in order to help themselves get back into school or provide a job through the self sustainable home arts courses ; these women rush forward .Both young and old married and single are engaged in the process of learning. Their eagerness to learn proved the weigh of the situation. Last week after our single meal served together after class; they decided to say thank you to the sponsor of this project:
“We are aware of the sacrifices you go through to help us crave a new destiny for our lives. Some people use their money for gold and diamond jewels, other to buy drinks and food or travel to other places for pleasure; but God has lain on your heart to support us. We are grateful and want you to know it. Please call us or visit us soon. We don’t have money to pay you back but as you have done this great thing in our lives; we will always pray that God will bless you and multiple your success and bless your generations; even those not yet born. A violent situation of destructive danger all around u- what is the way? von Olaf Severin, Mittwoch,
if u r in dangerous trouble, and no way is in sight- what will u do? Will u "shout to the Lord with a thankful heart"? Then u should visit a medic and let them check ur mind. What will u do? If u claim to be a believer, will u not look to someone who can give to u the advice u really need? Of course there r some rellatives who will tell u like this: "have we not warn u? And now do what we (want)...", of course u r weakened and surely u tend listening to them instaed of looking what the bible could have stored for ur situation. All this can happen, oh, do´nt deny it! Who r u, that u might think u were stronger than any other weak human? By using technics like "lifting up high the name" and "singing worship songs", u push urself high for the moment. But is this the way u find written in the bible? Or is it just another technic of theology? Think of it, bevore u answer. Is ur solution an oversounding the real danger u r in? Or will u read and research for experiences of other people who suffered the same like u actually do? Be wise! Do´nt lie to urself. I have to say this right now, in this hour of ur life. It does´nt matter who or if anyone is guilty for ur situation. That is not the question. U need the way out, immediately. Or u will fade. But never ever say: "God has not spoken to me, it is my error I now pay for!" If u r honest to urself, u remember the words of people in the bible who told u their story. Thereby u can see clearely if u made misstakes or if evil circumstances came over u to drag u until u give up and let them kill u. Think bevore u damn
urself or others. This world is not a paradise. We r among seen and unseen enemies. Do´nt forget it! Just 200 of the fallen angels r in prison and wait for hell. The others r roaming all over this planet. And their spirits whisper lies into ur heart! Beware of it! Never think there were just G'd and u. There r other people, their messages, their curses, their magic, their deceitment and subtile or violent poison. There is ur hurting body, soul and mind as one single source of pain. U feel helpless, it seems u had no chance to get out. "My Yeshua is the big boss here, and he will manage it for me!", u proclaim. But in the same few minutes u kaugh, with ur eyes whide open, ur bones hurt, so that u do´nt know how to move, ur skin screems: "Finally scratch meeeee!", though u know it is the only thin skin u have there. What has ur proclamation gained? Nothing than coming back to reality.
Is there a real way? do´nt say too fast any of the phrases u learned! If u believe in the Father, ur believe is now under provement. No, not ur faith, if strong or not. In this hostile situation counts not how u believe, but what u believe. Do u just repeat what u once heared in ur congregation, friend circle or lecture? Is this what u call being ur faith? Know: It will never save u! The songs of people who suffered grave danger written in the bible tell another message! What about hovering over the pincing sharp blades? Nothing! What about voiding the tight way between the walls? No other way found! What people wrote in the bible is their own experienced life. There is no soft air ammunition, but flying sharp arrows towards u. This is the true world. So, what will u do, and how will u react? Think a while before u answer.
There is no "spiritual warfare technology". Oh no. There is no "commanding the demons or devils to leave u in ur soft bed". And far no "ruling over circumstances". The bible is realistic enaugh to show u the way life is. Grave danger means real grave danger, so name it as it is. Whilst ur body sinks
down, ur power leaves u, ur courage flies out like an escaping bird, what could lift u up and activate ur will for survival? Listen, I can tell u one short and simple verse which was my fuel to stand against the dying: song 118:17
This had been a keyword for me many times! Oh no, not used as a wicca phrase. I took it thankful into my mouth and spoke it against the dying of my maraudet body, not as a miracle speech. No, not our phrases will save us. Do´nt believe that way. It is deeper. It is just the Father and u inmidst of the fury surrounding u. Can u understand what it is all about? If u get closer with Him, u distinct between the will to survive and the relation u step in. Then, and only then, u can be calmed and grow stronger. Even though u really die, u look forewards. But stop thinking that ur dying was a must! He wants u living and not in the she'ol. Song 6:5-6 "return, Adonai, resque my soul, save me because of Ur grace! Because in the death none reminds of U, in she'ol- who will praise U?" Another verse shouts out: "The living on, the living one will praise Adonai!" Think about it, u suffering endangered one. And make ur decision for life to serve Him with praise. Only if u r sure He wants u to rest until u will be resurrectet, only then it is time to give back ur spirit.
But never before!
I have some Good News! By David M. McNabb
When He was on trial, Jesus was asked, “What is truth?” That remains one of the greatest questions a man can ask. If Pilate only knew that the Man to whom he posed that question had already answered it, saying, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). The message of Jesus’ coming is called the “Gospel.” It is well-known that the word gospel, translated from the Greek word ευαγγελιον (euangelion), means “good news.” This is also the source for the word evangelist, which means “bearer of good news.” Evangelists are God’s heralds – the town criers of the Holy Jerusalem. Today’s world is characterized by an insatiable thirst for news. Whether an event is of extreme historical importance, or if it is simply what your friend is having for lunch three states away, you can be instantly informed. Historically, news was carried by messengers, and spread by town criers. With the advent of the printing press in the mid-1400s, the ability to mass produce news in print form was a reality. This innovation, however, was subjected to the limitations of the speed with which the word could reach the print shop. News still arrived by messengers on foot or horseback, so the concept of “breaking news” may have not even been imaginable. A lot has changed since the 15th century, and today, newspapers are found in great numbers in every major market, and in many minor ones, being printed weekly, bi-weekly, and even daily. With advancements in both transportation and communication, the ability to deliver information steadily improved. In the late 1830s, the first commercial electric telegraph was constructed. This technology would eventually lead to the development of the telephone, which Alexander Graham Bell patented in 1876. With the telephone and the telegraph, information could be
immediately delivered by electric pulses over very long distances. Soon, an earthquake in California could be reported in New York on the same day it had happened! Not only that, but you could also be informed of whether your new grandchild was a boy or a girl shortly after its birth. With the addition of cameras and internet access to these phones, the exchange of information is available to all. Any event can be videotaped by a cell phone and uploaded to the Internet to be seen by the world. In 1893, Nicola Tesla demonstrated wireless radio transmission before the National Electric Light Association. In 1901, Guglielmo Marconi established wireless communication between St. John's, Newfoundland (Canada) and Poldhu, Cornwall (England). Today, most radio stations offer news segments each hour, and some stations have a “news/talk” format, broadcasting news and also programming that often emphasizes politics and current events all day. In the middle to late 1920s, not only were they able to send audio over the airwaves, but pictures as well. Now you could not only read the news, but you could hear it – and even see it! In the late 1970s, Ted Turner debuted the first basic cable system. With this new medium, a possibility for news networks was created. Mr. Turner launched the Cable News Network, CNN, on June 1, 1980. It would later be joined by other 24-hour news networks, such as MSNBC, Headline News, Fox News, and many others, including channels that focus only on business or sports news. Now you do not have to wait until the network news at 5 or 11 o’clock. You can get your news on the TV any time of the day or night. Technological developments in the 40s, 50s and 60s revealed the initial potential of the computer. In 1969, a computer network was created called Arpanet. Arpanet would later merge with other networks, and together with advances in the 70s, would produce the Internet. In September 1981, fundamental protocols for the Internet were established, and today it is arguably the most powerful form of communication ever known to man, practically interconnecting the entire world. With all of these media available to us, what do we get? We get an endless parade of violence, opinion, and celebrities. We are barraged with the evidence of sin and its effects on a daily, hourly, and even more frequent basis! All of this news is either bad news, or irrelevant gossip.
Most of the news presented is biased and opinionated, while some news sources claim to be more fair and balanced. One might pose the question, what is news? Can news be biased? Can news be balanced? The answer is, of course, no. If you are trying to promote an agenda, or seeking ways to offer different sides of a story, then you are no longer reporting on the facts, but are rather expressing opinions. While gossip and opinion obviously appeal to the carnal man, the spiritual man is interested in truth. Jesus’ coming is called good news. It is not an opinion or a myth, but news – real news. When the angel appeared to the shepherds, he said, “Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger” (Luke 2:10-12). The shepherds went and found the baby, just as the angel had said. The angel was not offering a biased report, nor was he trying to be fair and balanced. He was just reporting the news. Men of great faith, who witnessed Jesus’ ministry with their own eyes, recorded those events in the pages of what we call the New Testament. Three of Jesus’ twelve, Matthew, John and Peter, describe the things that they saw. The death of Jesus was a fact, they were witness to it. The resurrected Lord also appeared to the disciples, as they also record. He also appeared to Paul several years later. But both Peter and Paul make statements that show that their faith was not based on what they saw, but on the facts that were first declared by the mouth of God through His holy prophets. Peter was one of only three disciples that witnessed the transfiguration of Jesus (the other two being the sons of Zebedee). As he describes that event in 2 Peter 1:16-21, he says, “For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.” Although he saw and heard amazing things that day, he goes on to say that the word of prophecy is more sure than even his own experiences.
Paul, who saw a vision of the risen Jesus, likewise declares, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures” (1 Cor. 15:1-4). He gives greater weight to that which happened “according to the scriptures:” the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus, than to his own testimony, because the “good news” is not opinion or legend, nor is it hearsay, but fact. Being absent when those events occurred, Paul says that he preaches the gospel (good news) that he also received. Paul said in 2 Cor. 5:7, “We walk by faith, not by sight.” This does not mean we walk by some random belief or hope. No, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Rom. 10:17). Holy men of old spake as they were moved upon by the Holy Ghost. This unbiased reporting, with no effort to balance it by the words of man’s wisdom, is what makes the Gospel truly good news. We are not expected to believe someone’s testimony, or someone’s experience, we are only expected to believe the report of the Lord! Prophecies about the birth, life, ministry, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus were written centuries before the events. Jesus fulfilled the volume of prophecy that was written of Him. The heralds of God’s news network reported the good news, and from the days of Isaiah until now, we ask, “Who has believed our report?” (Isa. 53:1; Rom. 10:16). And what is that report? Here is some of Luke’s file footage: “Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent. For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him. And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain. And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him,
they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulcher. But God raised him from the dead: And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people. And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers, God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David. Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption: But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption. Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses” (Acts 13:26-39). The good news is the same today. Jesus died for your sins, and was raised for your justification, just as the Scriptures required. In a world where news seems to be everywhere and nowhere at the same time, it is the word of the Lord that brings us the tidings of great joy and great hope. “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope” (Rom. 15:4). “For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you” (1 Pet. 1:24-25).
WHAT DOES THE PASSOVER/PESACHOR EMPTY TOMB MEANS TO YOU; A TIME OF HOPE, CHANGE, DELIEVERENCE, GOD INTERVENTION IN YOUR LIVES OR JUST ANOTHER BIBLICAL FEASTIVAL? BY BISHOP STEVEN LIBERTY SR.
“12th day of the 1st month 5847 years after the creation of Adam The 1st Month in the Second year of the third Sabbatical Cycle The Third Sabbatical Cycle of the 119th Jubilee Cycle The Sabbatical Cycle of Earthquakes Famines, and Pestilences. April 16, 2011” (Joseph F. Dumond) “And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying, This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb. Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof. And ye shall let
nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire. And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD's passover. For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever. Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel. And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you. And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever. In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even. Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land. Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread. Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover. And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning. For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the
destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you. And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever. And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service. And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service? That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD's passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped. And the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they. And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.(KJV)
On Saturday April 16, 2011 at sunset the Jewish observance of Passover (in Hebrew PESACH) begins; this holiday commemorates the greatest event in Jewish and biblical history. It commemorates the exodus of the children of Israel from the bondage in Egypt to freedom in the Promised Land . The story is familiar to many who are acquainted with the biblical and Jewish accounts. Here are a few highlights: 1. The brothers of Joseph sold him as a slave in Egypt 2. Joseph upright behaviour gives him favour in the eyes of God and men 3. Joseph was made Prime Minister of Egypt and later his people move over during a period of famine. 4. After Joseph’s generation pass on and the Pharaoh died a new Pharaoh made the people of Israel slaves for hundreds of years.
5. In answer to their prayers and promised to their forefathers God delivered them. God, who heard their prayers and sent Moses to Pharaoh with the message to "let my people go" When Pharaoh repeatedly refused, God brought plagues upon the Egyptians. After the devastation of the final plague, the killing of Egypt's firstborn, Pharaoh ordered the Israelites to leave. Later, God hardened Pharaoh's heart and Pharaoh's armies pursued them into the desert. Before fleeing Egypt, God tells the Jews to sacrifice a lamb, one of the many Egyptian gods at the time, and eat it hastily. They were also instructed to sprinkle lamb's blood on the doorposts of their homes to show their faith in God and their willingness to defy the Egyptian deity. The angel of death, seeing the blood on the doors of the Jewish homes "passed over" them and spared the children inside. And so, the name of the festival, and the sacrifice offered, became known as Passover.
It also commemorate the period when Christ was sacrifice for the sins of the world. Christians also celebrate the Passover but for a different reason altogether. They highlight the following: 1. Jesus observed the Passover (Matt. 26:17-20; Luke 22:15; John 2:13,23;13) 2. Jesus in the temple at time of Passover (Luke 2:41-50,) 3. A criminal chosen by the people to be released instead of Jesus (Mark 15:6-15) 4. Christ our Passover (1Cor 5:7) 5. Christ crucified at the time of the Passover ((Matt 26:2; Mark 14:1,Ê, John 18:28) 6. The Lamb of the Passover ; A type of Christ (1 Cor.5:7) 7. LORD’s supper ordained at the time of the Passover (Matt 26:26-28; Mark 14:12-25;Luke 22:7-20)
The question I want us to deliberate upon is not what happened in those times; but what effects does the Passover have on your life today as a Jew or Christian? For me the feast of the Passover means a time of remembrance of how Mighty and Faithful our God/YHWH is to those who really wait patiently and put their trust in Him. It is a time of deliverance from those things that hold us captives in life; those Pharaohs of today that we need to be freed from. Yes there are Pharaohs in your lives even today that continues to hold you captives and enslaved you. Passover should be a time when you let go of those habits of exploitations, pride, greed, drugs, drunkenness, sex crimes, adultery, prostitutions, witchcraft, murders, oppressions, depressions, persecutions, and turn over a new page in life. God has free you from the slavery you found your self in and now it is your turn to act by preparing your hearts and minds to release those old slave chains and move to freedom. It is neither cheap nor easy. If you read the original account of the first Passover; you will note that a certain high standard is required of those who must partake in this feast. You are to share with those who do not have and accountability is strong here too because you are to determine the amount of meat each person will eat. The animal chosen for the Passover cannot be just any animal but one without spots or defect. You are to care for them for a time until the people of Israel must slaughter them at twilight (in unity). They are to take some of the blood and sprinkle it on the doorpost of the houses where they would eat the meat‌. I am surprised that those who commemorate this festivals most times fail to fully elaborate on the significance of what it actually meant to partake then and now. They fail to highlight that it is a period of sharing, uniting, in leaving
behind a old form of life in slavery, defects that held them down, being purified by God/YHWH for a new walk with God/YHWH. It is a period where you turn it all over to God and allow Him to fight your battles for you. Yes at midnight if you are willing He will strike a blow of death on the first born of those evil pharaohs in your live today, thus paving the route for your total freedom from them. It is a time to recognize that your God/YHWH can be trusted and answers prayers regardless of how long it takes. Do not celebrate an empty feast just for the show of it; no, celebrate God/YHWH in your life today. Let us Passover from that land of physical, psychological, spiritual, intellectual, traditional, doctrinal and immoral slavery holding hands, sharing, as a single family to a land of Milk and honey that you willingly; holding on to the precepts of God/YHWH, allow Him to plant you feet. Let God fulfil the promised made to our forefathers because He is capable to fulfil them. It is a period to note that on our own we are helpless and our only hope of deliverance lies in the hands of God/YHWH. If you note carefully you will realized that it was our own selfish behaviour that most times take us to the bondage of slavery. We betray and sell our own brothers. We try to crave out a destiny for ourselves that is not ordained by God/YHWH or the divine time has not yet reach for it. Yes God is faithful to the promised He made to the forefathers and does not leave our side. He is stronger than any manmade God; therefore He used an Egyptian god for the Passover meat. Oh What a Mighty God/YHWH we serve. It proves that those man-made gods around your wrist, in your homes, offices etc are powerless and will perish. Christians let us celebrate Passover with the newness of hope for the future only if we are willing to allow this major event not to just be a tale we tell but a reality we live. Christ is our Passover Lamb that was sacrifice for our sake.
He was not a pagan god/lamb but a spotless Lamb from God for the deliverance of our sins. If that is so and you believe in His sacrifice, than we must be ready to put into action the reason of the sacrifice and apply it to our lives. He came the you might see in the darkness; recognized those pharaohs that are holding you captives , healing your lame and weak legs for the journey into new life, releasing the chains that are tie around your necks by this evil world and it’s rulers, and setting you free from the prison of sin. Sprinkle the blood of the Lamb on the door post of your life and rid your self of generation curses, witchcraft, spiritual death, immorality, and sin. Do not celebrate this period because you see others doing it. There are many who do not celebrate the festivals of both Christians or Jewish. In that case I urge you to celebrate God/YHWH; Christ and let the impact be seen in your lives today. I do not intend to discuss its nature but it’s implications on our lives. Look around you today and see how low the standard of Christianity is dropping and how evil has overtaken our world. What happened in Japan is an example of what I try to discuss a few months back. How can nuclear power/bombs protect us? Many of the casualties and displaced in Japan was because of reactors radiation .Those bombs can not protect us from nothing when it really get rough. Only God can protect us but God has been neglected. Tell me something my fellow Christians; when an earthquake is about to approach, a tsunami, or other natural disasters, can a nuclear bomb be use against it? Can you halt it by firing at it? The Risen LORD is the answer but we have turned our backs to Him and fallen a victim of vanities. Look at our Leaders and authorities of the day. They are not worth the salt they eat with their food. Gone are the days when Leaders walked the face of the earth that we could be proud of. Now for votes they uphold the killing of unborn children, they defend the lifestyle of Sodom and Gomorrah, where mothers marry their children, men married men, and women marry women. Satanic worship is on the streets and in the houses of worship .They dare not keep God or the Truth in their schools or they will lose votes and votes mean
much more to them then God. They go around the world chasing tyrants and dictators when in the real fact they fit the very same category and qualified to be chased or booted out of office. If they are as powerful as they claimed to be; why not go and arrest to tyrants leaders without all the suffering and bloodshed of the innocent. Where are your super heroes or great spy organizations they boast to the world and their people about? All lies? Why the displacement of so many innocent, including women, children, and the societies they claim to want to free; or is it really the dictators they are after these days or material gain? Why is there a difference in defending the rights of the poor suppress people in oil rich countries from other countries? Personally I don’t think it is because of the people. I think motives are different and don’t yuo dare think I love the evil those dictators are doing either? I want them out too, like I want every leader not worth their salt on this earth out; but it must not be to the determent of the innocent. They pass popular laws into action even if they know it is against God. Is there a Moses who can stand and say no? The religious leaders are no better and it is a case of the blind leading the blind. How can a religious leader do diamond business with a rebel leader who turned thousands of young children to animals and made them useless for life? But society turns a blind eye and dare not judge such people because those poor defendless children have no voices and the money made from such trade probably end up in the voting campaign of the leaders. Usually if anyone dare challenge their evil today they are tramp upon with their money and power; but I rather loose friends for the Truth of God Word and a rich greedy soul to change and confess their sins and return to the way of the living God. Yet, we dare come together as Christians to celebrate such feast as the Passover and the empty tomb of the Lamb of God. Let us properly examine our lives and take examples from what is happening around us. Today you might think you are so safe and wrapped up in your haven that is surrounded by bombs, planes, tanks, and money; but in fact you are as weak as Haiti,
Indonesia, Japan etc in the face of natural disasters and only God/YHWH/OUR RISEN LORD (however you call our one and only Father) can help us. Celebrate these religious days like those in captivities and be free from bondage to turn a new leaf in your life and follow the path that leads you back to your original tracks. There is no superpower, super leader besides God; no super state beside Heaven and no super organization besides the Truth. Remain on your sinful, blind tracks and the celebration of these holidays will be as useless to you as it is to the lost pagans who attend it for pleasure, food and drinks.
