WELCOME TO THE CORRIDORS OF THE SHEPHERDS LIGHTHOUSE BUGLE MAGAZINE The Shepherds Bugle is the voice of Shepherds Without Borders Lighthouse Ministries; which comes out once monthly to highlight messages, news, visions, projects, strength & weakness of the United Body of the Kingdom of God. Inspired Shepherds come together monthly to write message etc for the community of God chosen.

Every shepherd chosen, charged, and called by God (YHWH) to care for His flocks is officially a member.

Shepherds serve as an ambassadors of the Kingdom of God , advocates for petitioning God for mankind, administrators for the handling and distributing the truth of God's Word and they need a watch tower on the hilltop to help them not to crash against the stones of temptations placed in their path by the Devil.

This magazine is the shepherds’ consultant for wisdom and direction when it comes to how the work of the Kingdom of God is being carried out in different places around the world. It is also a confronter of the evil practices that are carried out in the name of the kingdom of God. It is no respecter of any particular doctrine, tradition, color, language, social status, or geographical locations. It is the voice for the united kingdom of God's body of workers in the vineyard here on earth.

This magazine is the discussion leader of any topic concerning the kingdom of God and the warfare of God's people. Here you will see and post the work you do for the

kingdom; however it should be clear that every work you see here is the responsibility/views of the writer who placed it there and not always necessarily the views of everyone. It is a medium to serve as an encourager for the shepherds around the world who are striving to get the truth of God's Word out even at a risk to their own families and lives. As a spotlight, we intend to also serve as a ground inspector of the work of every ministry we can and highlight their strengths and weaknesses.

THE THRONE OF GOD: BY JOHN GRACE

"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to Him to show His servants-things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who bore witness to the Word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, and to all things that he saw" (Revelation 1:12).

"After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, 'Come up here, and I will show you things which must soon take place.'

Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne...(and all in heaven) fall down before Him Who sits on the throne and worship Him Who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne saying: 'You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created" (Revelation 4:1-2,10-11).

The Apostle John was about to receive the revelation of a lifetime! He was going to be privileged to see the events of future history unveiled to him; The prophecy of prophecies, if you will!

What transpires in Revelation 1 & 4 is vitally important to this unique privilege. It will set the tone for all that he is about to witness concerning the future. I want to point out a few things concerning prophecy and eschatology

here that far too many in the church miss-especially those who deem themselves God's prophets. I hope what I share here will open your eyes and bring clarity and focus in this matter. I truly believe understanding what I'm about to share is key, and of vital relevance. I pray, when we're done, you agree.

In most circles, when the subject of prophecy and eschatology arise (eschatology being the study of last things), there is always a host of differing viewpoints. Ideologies about the rapture, the millenial reign, the various judgments, and the like are as numerous as the stars, so it seems. On these subjects, I will not add my opinions. What I wish to share with you is far more important than any of these and, sadly, much more neglected. You see, while we quibble over the details and timeline of these events, the most important fact (one central to the entire thing) is relegated to the background. That fact is the sovereign will of God, and the lordship of Jesus Christ. We rally around prophecies mostly from our own perspectives, and how it will affect humanity, believers and unbelievers alike. However, the central message of Revelation is not about man, but Christ! That very fact is given to us in the very opening verse of the book! The apocalyptic message that John wrote centers on the very revelation (unveiling) of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself!! All of the prophetic references ("things which must shortly take place") are to reveal to us the truth about our Lord and Savior!

Let's review for a moment what occurs before John is given this ultimate view of the future. John had been imprisoned, exiled to the isle of Patmos for preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Under the Roman leadership of Emperor Domitian (although some scholars contend the possibility of Nero), persecutions raged against believers, many of whom belonged to the churches in Asia Minor to whom John writes. It is my contention (and only that!), that due to the ferocious struggles and persecutions experienced, that God chose to relay the message of Revelation as a word of encouragement to the saints to hold fast to their faith, and not bend beneath the present grief, for a Day would be coming when He shall establish righteousness and judge those purveyors of evil and harm.

Nevertheless, John was chained on Patmos and we find him "in the Spirit on the Lord's Day" (1:10). Here is the first thing I wish to emphasize. Despite his chains, John was faithful in prayer, and was wrapped in the Spirit. Paul, quoting Isaiah 64:4 proclaims that "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him". Paul then goes on to emphasize that, although this was true, "God has revealed those things to us (His saints) through His Spirit, for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God" (cf. I Corinthians 2:7-

16). It is through the Holy Spirit that true revelation comes. Jesus told his disciples that when the Spirit of truth comes (i.e. the Holy Spirit) "He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you" (John 16:13-15). Thus, the words of Jesus here are about to be fulfilled in an unrivaled way here with John. He is about to have the Spirit unveil to Him the mysteries of the future, once hid only in the secret counsels of the Godhead. Thus, it was of paramount importance that John be of a right frame of mind to receive it. And so, because He was filled with the Holy Spirit and in the manner of prayer, he was able to receive.

In like manner, if we are to receive any revelation, truth, or prophecy which is assuredly from God, and not of fleshly origin, we must be truly prayerful and filled with the Holy Spirit, bearing a proper frame of mind.

Now, to the main point of this note. We have established John's reverent and prayerful attitude. Having this, we see the very first thing that is spoken to Him. He hears a loud voice saying, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last" (Revelation 1:11). Following this statement, John turned. He saw seven golden lampstands (representative of the churches he addresses in the letter), and then in the midst of them He beholds a vision of the Almighty Lord Jesus Christ Himself! The vision renders John so weak he falls, as if dead. The Son of Man lays His hand upon His apostle, calming Him, and reasserts that He is indeed the Lord Jesus and declares His sovereign authority. He then goes on to tell John to write down the vision he will see and send them to the churches under persecution in Asia Minor, along with a personal message from Christ (as we see in chapters 2-3) for each one.

After these things, John now looks and sees "a door, standing open in heaven". Again he hears a loud voice, this one beckoning him to "come up here", through the door, so that he may behold future events. Immediately (!)

John was wrapped in the Spirit again and borne aloft in a vision to heaven (4:1-2). Now, what I will stress here is (in my personal opinion) the key element to understanding prophecy and knowing God's plan for the ages.

John was not shown the future immediately, but instead was shown "a throne set in heaven, and One (seated) on the throne" . This is the heart of my message. Before we can see prophetic events, or even understand them, we must first have the revelation, the awareness of God, and Him seated upon His throne. Remember, at the heart of all prophecy is the "testimony of Jesus" (Revelation 19:10). Again, once the angel declared that truth to John, then he saw heaven opened and saw the glory of Jesus Christ, Lord of Lords and King

of Kings (19:11-16). Remember, this is the "revelation of Jesus Christ", with the unfolding future events centered around showing the world that truth.

Of course, in our time, God gives prophecies, and desires to heal, deliver, set free, and cause His Church to overcome and be triumphant. Of course He wants us to understand the times in which we live, and prepare for the coming days and for THE DAY! However, He wants us to first understand the most vital reality of all. He wants us to know that HE (not we) is at the center of all things. That it is not about the kingdom of man, but the Kingdom of God! He wants us (as He did John) to keep all these prophecies and future events in their proper perspective. Let us realize that, at the very heart of them, it's all about Him! It's all about seeing the sovereign rule of the Godhead over creation. He is the First and the Last. He Who spoke the very worlds into existence, and all that indwells them, so too will He have the very Last word.

He is God, and He is seated upon His Throne. What He has declared beforehand, shall occur exactly as He has decreed. The rule of men and satan must soon come under the rule of God. Jesus Christ is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, and in Him is ALL authority over ALL things, people, principalities, and power. To HIM belongs all glory and honor and power, for it is HE Who has created all things, and that in accordance with the good pleasure of His own divine will.

If we keep these things in the forefront, we will start to see the purpose in prophecy and have an understanding when we study these things, and hear others speak "prophetically". If they do not glorify God, nor center around Christ and His sovereign lordship, question the veracity of the prophecies.

Remember, a true prophet will lead you to God, and deeper reverence and worship of Him. A false prophet will draw you to himself, and to things mancentered.

Whether or not you agree with this assessment, do keep at the very center of your eyes and mind and heart the throne of God, and the One forever seated upon it. I do thank you for reading this and pray that "the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened" (Ephesians 1:17-18a).

When God asks me to speak for Him I'm willing to obey.

I listen to His Spirit.

I know that I have lots of faults and fail Him every day but I know He reallly loves me so I speak out ANYWAY!

Some didn't believe in Jesus in the town where He had lived.

"He's just a SIMPLE CARPENTER WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS?"

We may get mocked and laughed at as we daily sow His Word but the world is lost without Him. HIS VOICE NEEDS TO BE HEARD!

THE WORD OF GOD NEVER RETURNS VOID!

This is my testimony from 1/19/11 Wednesday night RICHARD L. SPOONER

First let me say that when God calls a man/woman to a certain ministry Satan will fight you every way possible in that calling to discourage you and try to get you to give up. This occurred to me this week. God has called me to a ministry of inner healing, In which He has promised that He would give me discernment and knowledge regarding the hearts of men to know where the attack is occurring in their lives, a prophetic gift if you want to say. So over the last few months while I have drawn closer to God, than ever in my life, in so many ways. my fellowship with him grew sweeter and more stable than ever

before in my life. He would speak so clearly to me on matters to the point that there was absolutely no doubt about what He was saying. I never dreamed that Satan could successfully attack and challenge What I knew God has said to me. ( for one thing when it‟s really God it will be in sync with scripture.)

Consequently all of a sudden every time I felt God tell me something, close to the opposite would occur. So much so that it almost destroyed my hope and belief in What I believed God was saying to me. For instance, 22 years ago God gave me a strong vision of a son I would have someday. He told me what to name Him, which was Jonathan Lorain Spooner, In my family the middle name is always a family name in some way. In All honesty, at that time, I had never heard Dad mention the name Lorain in relation to our family. so that night I asked him if there was anyone anywhere in our family tree named Lorain? Dad looked surprised but then said of course. That was your great grandfather Spooner‟s name, as well as your Uncle David‟s middle name I reminded Him that He had never mentioned that fact. Then repeatedly for a couple of years any time I prayed about it or doubted it, God would cause me to come across a scripture or teachings of some sort regarding Abraham and Sarah especially the scripture: Rom 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, Rom 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Rom 4:18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

Rom 4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: Rom 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; Rom 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Additionally in the vision I was in pretty good shape, which is a detail I

remember well, as well as what my wife looked like.( for those that don‟t know this past year I lost 45 lbs and 7 inches. Well to shorten things, over the last few months this promise has been brought back very powerfully to me; With God really dealing with me in a strong way regarding all the details. Then this week suddenly every time God told me something, the opposite would happen or so it seemed till finally today I literally broke down about it all. So, I told God, Lord, if you don‟t somehow explain to me exactly what is going on, I‟ll never be able to believe you can talk to me again. I won‟t be able believe you care about me anymore. The grief and anguish became so utterly severe that honestly to my shame I contemplated suicide, fortunately I‟ve had enough training as a counselor and minister that I would never be so stupid. But the urge and grief was so severe that it became overly tempting. Then tonight God suddenly urged me very strongly to go visit a friend‟s church. I prefer going to Stuart to my own Church on Wednesday nights, but the urge of the lord was so strong that finally I went; First thing after getting there, a young brother walks up to me carrying his infant son. Well that started the breaking and I began to quietly cry. Then a sister walked up to me and began rebuking and casting down a spirit of suicide. Well it was Bible study night so I picked up a hand out and began scanning it until I came to where it began talking about Abraham, using Romans Chapter 4 and then it mentioned How Abraham had to wait 26 years before that promise occurred. While it has only been 22 years so far for me, though I am certainly not far from being old, I got my AARP card last week. Well reading that I began to weep in earnest especially during the worship Music. The whole lesson was on prophecy and how ,so often, where Satan will Attack you hardest will be in the area of your calling. It talked about the need to focus on Jesus, which was something I knew God wanted from my third vision regarding a wife. Today my impatience caused me to act ahead of the Lord against what He had told me to do, though not drastically so, but enough for Satan to be able to lay a serious blame on me.

This led, in all honesty to hours of weeping at my home church; alone in the Altar. Confessing my sin and impatience before the Lord, But everything covered tonight, hit me exactly where I was at. It answered perfectly the reason for today. I was prayed for and another sister whispered to me. for no apparent reason. "you‟re not big enough to totally mess up God‟s plan. Then naturally in my heart the scripture that followed was Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

I cried about God‟s goodness, mercy and Love all the way Home.

I AM DEDICATING THIS PARTICULAR MESSAGE TO THE VICTIMS OF NATURAL DISIATERS WORLDWIDE. I AM URGING YOU DEAR READERS TO STOP A MOVEMENT AND THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP THEM. THEY NEED YOU LIKE NEVER BEFORE. YOU CAN REACH OUT TO THEM THROUGH YOUR PRAYERS (REMEMBER THEY DO NOT EAT OR SLEEP ON PRAYERS); YOUR DIMES AND USE CLOTHING? ANYTHING THAT CAN HELP THEM REBUILT THEIR LIVES. LASTLY I AM DEDICATING THIS WORK TO YOU MY FRIEND; STOP AND READ THE HAND WRITING ON THE WALL. As I was preparing to continued my previous messages and feed the flocks; my eyes suddenly open to the handwriting on the wall; earthquakes, floods, landslides, tsunamis, mudslides, snow slides, aftershocks , wolves over taking the Ministries of God Worldwide ; economical break-downs , religious violence, scientist reports of strange sightings in the universe, etc. It suddenly came to my mind that the message was clear enough and needed no interpreting; however there are many out there who regarding of all these will not recognize the hand writing on the wall.

Earthquake in Haiti, Earthquake in Chile, Landslide in Indonesia and Uganda, floods in India, tsunamis and now revolts of a particular type introduced and encouraged in the Middle East 2011 .in other parts of the world etc. What do these things say to you as a person? Do you understand the language of

nature? Is the earth dying; coming to an end of its existence or are these things just another ordinary act of nature? One thing is certain it is now happening too fast to sit without wondering why? I am not as concern about the things happening around me as I am about your preparedness to meet your day if it suddenly comes up to you like it is doing to the victims of disasters daily. Where will you be if the World suddenly ends for you today? I know many of you can preach about the end times, teach about it but have never sat to personally relate it to yourself. I do not care which religion you are from, your title in life, the country you live in , jobless, homeless, married or divorce , have a car or not ; it will certainly catch up with you and there is just no way to escape it. There is no one young or old, poor or rich; live for an hour or 900 years that was not given a living soul by the Master. The fact that should be stuck to the back of your mind is that you will have to individually give an account for the gift of life that was given to your care. Do not be too comfortable that you forget to pack your luggages for no man knows the hour. Where will you be when your hour of accountability comes?

You might be a guest in a Hotel or there with someone else wife committing adultery, doing drugs, crossing illegal deeds or just visiting as a tourist, hosting a crusade or one of your numerous crusades either to win souls for the Kingdom of God or your very own exploitation desires for funds when the

Master arrives. Be warned my fellow brothers and sisters for the signs of the end is clear and the “Day of the LORD” draws near. For it is written: “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”(Matt: 24:37-39) Oh yes, it is very possible that you had returned from work after a long day and was having a good time with your family or just lazily stowing around the house; maybe preparing a sermon or arranging for that next show, conference, meeting, interview, fighting with your wife or husband, getting ready for your marriage, or even the funeral of a friend of family member when your call comes. Are you preparing to go if the trumpet blows for you the next second? Check yourselves please for it is very important to have your accountability records in order.

“For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low.”

“Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? The day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.” (Isa. 2:12 ; Amos 5:18) My Dear friends; now is the time to do the cleaning up and preparations while the light of life still shines in you. It is time to make it right with your maker for when the messenger of Go comes for your soul; you will not even have a second to run to the bank, call the priest, pastor, scribe or teacher for advices.

Now is your time. It is written: “The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.” (Psa. 115:17) So if you must seek the face of the LORD the time is NOW; today, and not even the next second for you might not even have the next second.

It is written: “For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?”

Some might have been praying or singing when the call came. Everything stops at once as far as this earth was concerned. Others might very been thinking that they had a long and fruitful life because the were fill of strength, youthful, had a good bank account or even own an estate or more but the messenger of God is no respecter of these things and care not about your age or status , colour or denomination ; all must give an account.

“

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have

mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.” (Luke 16:19-31) Yes my Friend it could happen at any time and you will have no excuse for The Master was fair to you to have fore warned you about this day. Do not be fooled by sight, worldly fame, positions, power or money for when that day comes they will all flee from you. All the money you have gathered will go to other pockets. Maybe you spend years piling it up but that person will spend moths wasting it after drugs, women, men, or so-called good life. I must be very clear with you my Dear Friend; even the breath of your nostrils does not belong to you. It was given to you by someone. It is written; “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” “The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.” (Gen 2:7; Job 33:4) Have you ever sat to wonder about the real purpose of your life? Have you ever thought about the beginning and where it will end and what will happen there after; If you have done that than I am sure your saw the day of reckoning. That day is for everyone; young and old, good and bad, rich and poor, healthy and well. So why did God really make you and why is it that in the end you must give an account of the life you live. Yes , you were made for a purpose.

It is written: “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Gen 1:26-27) You were made in the image of God for a reason. To guide, protect, cultivate, care for His creation of which He place you as head.

Now if you have a company and leave it in the hands of a supervisor; definitely one day you must come to take stocks and the supervisor have to give and account of how he ran your company. You must know that it is the same here ; for it is written : “Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.” ; “The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. “ Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.” (Psa 8: 6-8; Prov. 16:4; Isa 43:7) Where will you be my Dear friend when the Master arrives?

You might be driving home from work, from visiting a friend, from a missionary journey, from banking your earnings, from buying a new car or from doing something good or evil, all of a sudden, in the twinkle of an eye; not expecting anything when your call comes. If you are unprepared and your books not in order Brother/Sister you will really be in grave danger and there will be no one to assist you. It is very advisable to be on the save side and prepare day and night for the Masters call . Christ warns us to : “ Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.� ( Matt 24: 42-44)

This is the fate reserved for us all one day . You must be prepared well before this day meets you for it does not care who you are. Just maybe you might remain alive until the Master meets you on earth. So; if you do remain until that final day; what will be your fate? I do not know if you have sat sometimes to thinks about this. There is no hiding place from the day of reckoning; no country is too advance to hide in; no hill too hill; no valley too deep and you will not be forewarned. I urge you to take stock of your life right now for it might just be too late to do so. These people did not know what was coming to them. It hit them so fast and hard that it left most of us wondering what had gone wrong; I must be clear with you that nothing went wrong; it’s just the signs of the end. I want to conclude with this piece of scripture: “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory.�(Matt 25:6,10,13,19,31)

I am speaking to you because you still have breath in your nostrils from God; but the time will come when even though the winds will still be blowing you will stop breathing, you will fade away like a flower that has been cut from it’s roots. I am appealing to you because there will be no more time to listen after your ears have finally been sealed up forever. Repent now! Put your books in order. Do not put anything before God; not your Ministry (as a good friend told me lately) , your children, your cars, your bank account, or job. Do not be too busy to stop a movement and take stock of your life. Believe it or not Dear friend, the Master messenger do not care if you are gay or straight, rich or poor, black or white, have nuclear power in your country or not, a terrorist or preacher , a Muslim , Jew or Christian; whatever you are; when the trumpet sounds for you , it is over. It is how you give your account that matters after your call. What will yours be? Where Dear Friend will you be when the Master returns?

A Cry Made At Midnight BY JOEL McNabb

"At midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom com-eth; go ye out to meet himâ&#x20AC;? (Matt. 25:6). In my life time, I have heard the parable of the Midnight Cry preached and talked about many times. From time to time I heard it said that we were in the day of the Midnight Cry. Like in the story of the boy who cried wolf, we seem to pass it off as just another cry and go about our business as usual, saying, "We have heard it said, remember 2000?â&#x20AC;? It came, went and life went on. But as in the story of the boy and the wolf, the wolf finally came. The outcome was not very good to those that had gotten complacent; neither will it be if we remain complacent about the coming of the Bridegroom, our Lord. Many have taught that Jesus can come before morning and we cannot know the time of his appearing; I wonder how Matt.

25 fits into this belief. Jesus spoke in parables many times to the people that

came to hear Him; His disciples questioned why. His response was, "Because it is given un-to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given” (Matt. 13:10-17). The parables were not just stories so that we, or even children, might understand a simple moral philosophy. He spoke these parables to hide God‟s work from the beginning, because he set the world in their hearts, that they would not understand the kingdom of God (Eccl. 3:11). Those that followed him, He took aside and gave the explanation, so they would know what his Father was doing in the kingdom. Matt. 25:1-13 is just that, a parable of what shall happen in the kingdom of heaven.

The kingdom of heaven, in this parable, is not the kingdom in heaven, but the kingdom that starts with repentance, the message that John the Baptist, Jesus, and His disciples all preached. "Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand.”

The first step in seeing the kingdom of God is repentance, which allows you to come out of the world. "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). Each step of faith leads us closer to seeing the plan of God for man, from the beginning of creation to our day. The Pharisees demanded of Jesus when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:20). He was not speaking to born again saints, but to those Jews of his day who were steeped in the law mingled with their own doctrines, of which Jesus warned his disciples to beware (Matt. 16:6). They were the kingdom of God till Jesus died, whose death annulled the covenant God had with them (Rom. 7:14; Heb. 9:15-17). Now, by the blood of Jesus, God is able to marry those that bring forth the fruits of the kingdom (Matt. 21:43). Most believers talk about the bride and the marriage of the Lamb, but are they the bride or are they like the ten virgins that Jesus used in this parable? Jesus is coming back. There will be a marriage, and not all will be the bride. There will be bridesmaids, guests and His bride, His undefiled one!

In the parable, the ten virgins had gotten the born again experience and were in the way of holiness to meet the bridegroom. They took with them lamps, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Psa. 119:105).

All of the virgins had taken the word of God with them: wise and foolish.

Jesus tells us that the foolish did not take oil in their lamps; the implication is the wise did. Why would oil make a difference? Some have called the oil the Holy Ghost, which gives me a little difficulty with the way that Paul described the Holy Ghost, and the experience the folk had on the day of Pentecost: "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; … for these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day” (Eph. 5:18, Acts 2:15). The oil has to be something else. What is the purpose

of putting oil in a lamp? Is it not to cause the lamp to give light, to make us see and under-stand? Light reveals what is in darkness, and what is hidden. It is the revelation of knowledge in God‟s word. "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” (2 Cor. 4:6). When someone comes up with an idea, we say, "A light came on in our head”. We envision a cartoon person with a light bulb on top of his head. Of someone who finally understands something, we say, "They saw the light.” The oil is the revelation of God‟s word, which gives us light from faith to faith.

All ten virgins were on their way to meet the Lord, but as the parable says, "the bridegroom tarried.” It has been 2000 years since our Lord ascended to the right hand of the throne of God, and still we are waiting. It is hard to imagine that believers would be sleeping when it is time for Jesus to come back, but this parable reveals they are asleep. The time has been long; we go about our lives, as Jesus said we would be like in the days of Noah. We have been told that Jesus is coming back ever since He left; some have gone on to their reward, while others have seen their children‟s children have children.

Still we wait. The year 2000 came and went. There was great awareness that this might be the day of His return, but it also passed; He did not return. I hear the words of Peter, "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming?” (2 Pet. 3:4-4), and still we wait. When Noah preached, he had scoffers too. Lot‟s sons-in-law thought he was crazy as well, when he warned them of Sodom‟s destruction. In both cases these men were warned of coming doom, and knowing it was coming, they made the cry to save as many as they could. In Noah‟s day, there were those who were disobedient to the word of God sent to them by His messenger. All thought it was too crazy to happen.

They may have seen, as we see in cities around the world, people carrying signs saying, "The End Is Near.” We see these people and think to our-selves, "These are just kooks, someone with too much time on their hands”. We pass it off, and go on about living our lives, going to church thinking it is just another day, and all is the same.

We are told by the prophet Habakkuk, the vision is coming, not right away, but at the end it will come. It will speak and not lie: it would take some time, but we should wait for it to come to pass; because without a doubt it would come, and when it does it will not take long (Hab. 2:3). When Jesus said, "the harvest is the end of the world,” He was not saying that the world was going to be destroyed. The earth has to remain if Jesus is to rule and reign on the throne of David in the form of man, which is the promise to David. When heaven and earth shall pass away, this is the day and hour that only the Father knows. "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the

Son of man be” (Matt. 24:34-39). Christians are carelessly going about saying no one knows or can know when Jesus is coming back, are in their churches sleeping. It is as if there is a law being preached today that if anyone says they know when Jesus is coming, they are condemned. The same way the Jews of Jesus‟ day condemned Him with the law they made: "The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law He ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God” (John 19:7). So when Jesus came to them saying that He was the Son of God, they put him to death, because they had a law.

In this parable, there is a cry made at midnight, "Behold the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him!” Evidently the one that is making the cry knew that the bridegroom was really coming this time. (This was not the boy crying wolf.) Like Noah and Lot, who were prepared and knew from God when the trouble was coming, their candle had not gone out. The virtuous woman, "perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night” (Prov. 31:18). Knowing the times and the seasons, that day would not come on them as a thief. Jesus said, "Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up” (Matt. 24:42-51). This cry at midnight, like John the Baptist who was the voice in the wilderness preparing the way of our Lord‟s first coming, will be made to wake up those believers that have become complacent to the coming of the Lord, lulled to sleep by thinking that we do not have to know the times, just be saved and you will make it in.

The Cry caused the wise and foolish to wake from their sleep; both began to search the Bible and trim their lamps. The foolish realized that their lamps had no light, and they had no oil to cause them to burn. They went to the wise and asked them to share their oil; the wise had just enough oil (revelation) for themselves, but not enough to share with the foolish. The foolish were told, "Go to them that sell.” This means there was someone out there from whom they could buy the truth (Prov. 23:23). On their return from finding oil, they found the door shut; their lack of oil and foresight had left them behind and in the outer darkness. The Bride-groom came while they were chasing around to catch up on what they thought they did not have to know.

The same happened to those who were comfortable with the way life was in Noah‟s day. The rains came as God said; those that were near the ark could not get in, for God had closed the door. In Matthew 25, the foolish came to the door, saying, "Lord, Lord, open to us,” and the Lord replied, "Verily I say unto you, I know you not.” We did not hear him say, "Sorry I never knew you,” only "I know you not.” We are known of God by how we know Him,

and have searched His word. He is writing it all down, keeping a record (Mal. 3:16-18).

Paul tells us, "to them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation” (Heb. 9:28). Jesus is not coming to save sinners this time; He is coming for a wedding. His bride kept her light burning throughout the night. The salvation message has been preached for 2000 years; now it is time to open our eyes and hear the Cry. "Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations” (Joel 2:1-2). The believers of today are like when Israel was in captivity and God sent Isaiah to wake them, saying, "Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean. Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion” (Isa. 52:1-6).

I admonish you today to open your eyes, "anoint thine eyes with eyeslave that thou mayest see” (Rev. 3:18). Wipe the sleep from your eyes and have a look around you; are you truly ready for the bride-groom to come? Are your lamps trimmed? There is still time, if you are wise and have oil in your lamps, to open your Bibles and learn. You may not feel the urgency and that you are living right before the Lord, but take this parable and apply it to yourself.

Whether or not you believe we are living in the midnight hour, it is good to watch and pray, so we do not miss anything the Lord is doing. The Jews in Jesus day did not know the day of their visitation and were caught sleeping, at his birth and during his ministry. As the wise men knew the sign at the time of his birth, we should know the sign of his return. The Bible is filled with pages of what the Lord has done and is going to do. It is not just about getting souls saved. If it were, we would not need such a large book. It all leads up to the event of Jesus‟ coming back to earth and His Kingdom being established here.

God gave us his word and preserved it, so that we could learn and be ready for that glorious day. If we do not use what God has given and are not ready, we will be on the outside looking in. "And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed” (Rom. 13:11). May we find grace in the eyes of the Lord, and be found faithful to the word of God. May the Lord bless you and give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation, in the blessed name of our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen

There is a serious war raging; not in Iraq either. This war is taking place in the spirit world, the supernatural realm. This war is apparent in the home, the workplace, and unfortunately, in the church!! Scripture Reference: Ephesians 6:12

There are no prayer meetings, Bible study, or Sunday school, just idle/idol worship. The baptisry is bone dry. There are "ministries” which are not Christ-centered and lots of superficial greetings. The sanctuary is now a multi-purpose room. God is not pleased. Where are the pews?

People are hurting and starving and thirsty. Jesus said, "Feed my sheep.”

We say, "We can‟t because there is a famine in the land.” "We have no

spiritual food for you here.” Lord, have mercy! Save us from ourselves!

Church has become part of the routine and moral obligation to appear upright and righteous. Everyone believes in God, don‟t they? Leadership has done their duty. Shawn P. Lang was born January 29, 1964 in Kansas City, MO at Queen of the World Hospital to Jesse James, Jr. (RIP) and Marie Antoinette Bradley (RIP). Shawn attended a public school and a Catholic school in the inner-city of Kansas City, Missouri for early elementary. Worship practice was very different on this date, we didn‟t practice, but rather we prayed. As we gathered in a group to pray, I began seeing a vision, we, the worshipers were in an Air Force formation, much like geese in their formation. I saw this formation in what looked like outerspace amongst the stars, the Lord said; we will be going out to more places, more churches, raising up a higher standard of worship in the places He would send us to.

Then suddenly from many directions, all in front of us, came what looked like fiery missiles or fiery darts. At this point, I heard the Lord say, we the true worshipers of God will be attacked greatly; but as we speak forth God‟s truth, as we sing forth His truth, the fiery darts will be turned away from us, by the power of what we speak.

As we continued in prayer, I was sitting on the platform and it looked as if the carpet was flowing like a slow moving river towards the platform. At first I shook it off due to the trouble I have had concerning my eyes, then I heard the Lord say; "NEW, NEW, do the NEW. I am bringing new worship as the old has brought familiarity, and as the saying goes, „familiarity breeds contempt”.

Not the contempt of the people, but my contempt of their worship and actions.

They worship, but nothing stirs their hearts to worship Me from anew. They have begun to worship Me from their lips and mundane actions, because they‟re not being challenged to ponder upon their worship. I am urging every man and woman in ministry to NOT think of themselves more highly than they ought to think, and not to think that their doctrine or indoctrination from their denomination or non-denominational group is any guarantee against deception. It is so important for leaders to rediscover the central message and mission of Jesus concerning the right now presence of the Kingdom of God. It is so vitally important that we all repent, come back to that place of being childlike again, teachable and willing to receive correction. Whom the Lord loves He chastens and this is the hour where judgment has come to the House of the Lord. The average ministry, (and almost no one wants to admit that their ministry is average), functions from the teachings of their leaders whether denominational or non-denominational, and as a result have preached the same errors, the same half truths and in some instances, the same outright lies of their fathers before them.

It is only as we all humbly seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness by forensically seeking and understanding the verses where Jesus preached, taught and demonstrated the Kingdom of God, and accept the same assignment Jesus gave the 12 and then the 70 to preach, teach and demonstrate, the Kingdom of God, that we will ever walk in the fullness of a

life transformed by this new government that has been here for more than 2,000 years.

Religion has given us clergy collars, robes, gold crosses, ruby rings and a whole host of other religious traditions and customs that make the Word of God ineffective. The dominant culture will always control the minds of the people, and therefore the dominant culture of religion always controls the minds of the people where from the beginning, it was the Father's desire that through Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, we would be controlled by the culture of our kingdom citizenship, walking in dominion, authority and power representing the same Kingdom government Jesus re-presented to the nations of the world.

Well meaning men, taught well meaning men, but in effect the blind have led the blind and the devil has had a field day putting on a show making the church to think its truly effective the way the Father wants us to be effective when in all the Church has only been busy, and not really effective at all. All church work is not true Kingdom work.

As we all realize that since the end of the 2nd century men have taught religion and not the Kingdom, and that we have reproduced a religious structure and culture that has come out of Catholicism, the Greek Orthodox Church, the Episcopalian, Dutch, Reformed Church, Church of England, and other such groups to include the charismatic, Word of Faith, Apostolic/Prophetic and "Present-Truth" groups, and have not preached, taught and walked with the same Kingdom focus that the apostles followed Jesus and ultimately died for, we come to an understanding of the depth of repentance that must take place in the Body of Christ if she (the people) are ever going to be healed from the damage preachers, religion, tradition and deception has done.

Seeking FIRST the Kingdom of God is the act of making first priority what Jesus told the disciples was to be their first priority. As we all humbly seek first the Kingdom of God as children, childlike, humble, teachable, we will be able to allow the stripping away of the layers of religion that have seduced us for centuries, layers that form the framework of our thinking and the manifestations or results or the lack thereof in our lives.

I hear the Spirit of the Lord saying, "Enter into your closets, pray to the Father in secret, ask Him to reveal to you the truth of the hidden message of the Kingdom, and I (the Holy Spirit) will come to you and lead you and guide you into all truth and show you things to come. Be teachable, be yielding and I

will move upon you to restore you to the original mission, message and power of the Kingdom of God." Friends its the Father's desire, His good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.

He has said in His Word that no good thing would He withhold from them that walk uprightly before Him. Today He is not keeping the Kingdom back from men, but men have denied the faith, rejected the gospel of the right now presence of the Kingdom of God, and have instead lived erroneously serving God based on a worship of our own imaginations.

In this hour you will discover that the power we thought we had in our worship services will be nothing compared to what God will do among those who will worship in Spirit and in truth. It is impossible to worship in Spirit and in truth and not know, understand and preach, teach and demonstrate the same kingdom Jesus did.

Will you enter into your closets? Will you stop judging the vessel God uses and instead, focus on the message God has sent in this Apostolic hour of restoration? Will you humble yourself and dig out all the verses where Jesus preached the Kingdom of God, taught and demonstrated it and instructed the disciples to do the same?

Will you search the words Dominion, Power, Authority, Ambassador, Kingdom, Citizenship, Royal, Righteousness, and Reign from the New Testament and then the Old?

Will you put in the time to rediscover the central mission and message of Jesus and allow yourself to be transformed by our Father's government?

It is only as we repent from having become the scribes and Pharisees, the hypocrites to which Jesus came to destroy their religious pretension, will we come to that place of Kingdom transformation where again its the Father's good pleasure to give us the Kingdom.

As Apostles, Prophets and all of the 5-fold ministry you have been entrusted with the responsibility to equip the Body of Christ to do the work of the ministry. Until you understand and are transformed by the realties of the right

now presence of the Kingdom of God, the Father will still use you, after all He's gifted you, but He can only use you marginally.

When God is not speaking, we listen to the preaching and teachings of other men and we tell the people its God, and it is, but based on their narrow understanding of what God is really saying and doing. So as a result, you become an echo and not a voice.

Enter into your closet, humble yourself as though you know nothing, and ask the Father to teach you, the reality of His kingdom government, the government He has restored to man, and walk in the fullness of your dominion, power and authority to re-present His government to the nations of man. In the previous examples, the dead relatives are well known persons, but the deceased need not be as notable or even exist in real life, as demonstrated by this next e-mail from "George" who appears to be very confused about the spelling of his family name.

Lottery/Grant Scam

This one almost always arrives by e-mail and is becoming extremely popular.

Basically, you are contacted by someone who claims to represent a lottery telling you that you've won a large amount of money (in dollars, euros, pounds, or whatever). Like the traditional scam, there is no prize money but there are always silly fees to be paid before you can receive your winnngs.

Many of the lottery names are made up. The Microsoft Word Lottery, The Yahoo Messenger Lottery, and The Windows Vista Lottery are just a few of the lotteries that the scammers invent but, just as often, they claim to be from real lotteries, providing web links to "back" up their story.

One thing to always keep in mind is that no one gets notified via e-mail by a real lottery that they've won and no one wins a lottery for which they've never bought a ticket.

Job Offer Scam Usually arrives via e-mail, this type of scam is very successful and would be far more popular if the scammers could afford the cost of good-quality fake checks.

The prospective employer could be just about anyone real or fictitious. Some very common ones used by the scammers are Sino Steel and Susan's Art World.

Sometimes the scammer claims to be an African model who had had modeling jobs for which she had been paid with checks drawn on an American or European based bank. In any scenario, the person/firm has trouble cashing these checks and is ostensibly looking for someone to cash them in exchange for a certain percentage.

The way the scam works is that the scammer offers you a job as a "company representative" or something similar, or, the scammer tells you that he/she has trouble cashing checks from the US/Canada and/or Europe. Your job is to cash

the checks for him/her in exchange for a percentage (usually 5%-10%) of the value of the check.

These checks are always either complete forgeries or stolen checks which have been altered. In either case, the check is worthless. You are asked by the scammer to cash the check(s), keep your alloted percentage for yourself and wire the remainder back to the scammer immediately.

When your bank eventually finds out that the check you cashed/deposited is worthless, you will be held responsible for covering the value of the check.

Another popular Job Offer Scam advertises some sort of attractive service job in a foreign country, usually in a hotel or on a cruise ship. instead of cashing fake checks, the victim (job applicant) is asked to send money to pay for their visas, etc.

Fake Job Offer scams have also become popular in recent years. There are two very different types of job offer scams.

The first type works in the same way that most other 419 scams do. That is, you are offered something of value in return for a fee. The "job" in these scams is typically within either the service sector or the petroleum industry. The fake job is always in another country (travel required) and is aimed at victims in poorer parts of the world, people who would consider relocating to a first world nation to be desirable.

The following is a very typical example of this scam e-mail.

In a scam like the example given above, the victim would be required to pay the scammer in advance for non-existent work visas, permits, and other silly fees. As the victim would eventually figure out, there is no job, no work visa, etc.

Gold/Diamonds for sale For some reason, these e-mails seem to come primarily from Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire They always follow a similar theme. The scammer contacts you offering diamonds, gold bullion, or gold dust for sale. Of course, he wants payment before shipping the goods (which don't exist) Here, the seller claims to have gold or diamonds for sale.

Of course, the scammers aren't quite stupid enough to think that you'd advance the full payment to them for 50 KG of gold (not that they'd turn it down). Rather, they would go for the idea of sending you a free sample if you would kindly wire

just the cost of shipping and insurance fees to them (maybe a couple of thousand dollars). Obviously, since the scammers possess no gold or, in this case, no crude oil, you'll get no sample. If they actually did possess gold and crude oil, you'd still get no sample.

Now, a smart buyer would actually want to travel and meet with the seller to make a purchase like this. The scammers would be fully prepared for this also.

In fact, this is what the scammers really want you to do. Planning on making a small sample purchase? Don't forget to bring enough cash to pay the "export fees" of $2000/KG. After all, you'll be told that you don't want to get caught smuggling 5 KG of gold out of Ghana in your suitcase. There will be fees to be paid, bribes as well. Better bring at least $150,000. Cash, of course. Those crooked "government officials" don't accept checks. You will also be encouraged to bring gifts for your hosts. It will be suggested that laptop computers, GSM mobile phones, and Rolex watches make great gifts.

Upon your arrival in Ghana, you would be graciously be picked up at the airport and taken to a location where you would be relieved of your cash, gifts, luggage, clothing, and anything else that you may have of value. After all, you won't be needing any of those things where you're going.

Item/service purchaser/renter scam This one has much in common with the Job Offer Scam (above) but the premise is entirely different.

The potential victim of this type of scam is often someone who has offered something for sale or rent, often on eBay or CraigsList. Sometimes the victim will get a response by telephone from someone who has seen an advertisement in the classified ad secion of a newspaper.

In the case of someone who has an item for sale, the scammer will express a desire to purchase the item for the asking price (or more) and offers to pay for the item by check, the amount of which far exceeds the purchase price of the item. Often the victim has an apartment, flat, or house for rent and the scammer wants to pay the security deposit and/or "1st and last month's rent" via this method. The scammer then requests that the seller wire the difference back via Western Union or Moneygram.

As you would expect, the check(s) they send are worthless.

Internet Romance Scams/Pen Pal Scams

There are many variations of this type of scam but they all have one thing in common: The scammer always tries to develop a very personal and trusting long-term relationship with the victim over the internet. This relationship is often, but not always romantic. They like to use instant messaging to communicate.

Often the scammers will ask their victims to cash (fake) checks for them.

In one variation, the scammer will use the victim's address as a drop for expensive items purchased online with stolen credit card numbers. These items will start showing up at the victim's home. The scammer will then ask that the victim ship these items to him/her.

The scammers in this type of scam are very patient. They have been known to cultivate their relationship with their victim over a long period of time, sometimes more than a year.

You can usually meet these scammers at social websites. MySpace.com and most dating websites are overflowing with these scammers.

Internet Romance Scammers usually target victims who are registered on dating or other social networking sites but they often send out mass e-mails as well like the crude example below.

Basically, the Internet Romance Scammer attempts to get you into an online romantic relationship with them. They are usually located either in Africa or countries of the former Soviet Union though they could be from anywhere. These scammers are very patient, often cultivating a relationship for many months without making any odd requests. They fabricate absolutely every detail about themselves. Often this even includes their gender. Any photos or identification documents they may send you always belong to other people, sometimes previous victims of the scammer. Communication is usually conducted via instant messenger and sometimes e-mail.

When the scammer feels that he/she has your trust, you will begin receiving odd requests, Sometimes they make a blatant request for money, claiming to be stuck at an airport somewhere. Often the scammer will claim to need emergency funds for a sick child. Sometimes they'll request that you send them a laptop or some other expensive item, offering to pay you for it later. Sometimes the scammer will claim to have been paid for a job with checks that he/she can't cash and ask if you could cash them and wire back the money (see the counterfeit checkcashing job scam described above). Occasionally you will be asked to become a postal drop for goods obtained fraudulently (also mentioned above).

A victim who has been particularly generous and has demonstrated that he or she is financially comfortable may be asked to visit the scammer. This can be a particularly dangerous move. Victims who have gone to meet their new loved one will, at the very least be releived of any wealth they may have. Scammers who have been able to lure the victim onto their own turf often engage in kidnapping, forcing the victim to drain his or her bank accounts. Sometimes they will hold the victim for ransom, demanding money from the victim's family members in return for release. The most ruthless ones will just dispose of the victim in a rather grizzly fashion when they feel that he or she is no longer of use to them.

Loan Scams Websites offerng free or inexpensive advertising have long been havens for loan scammers. E-mail is also becomng a popular medium for these scammers to find victms.

The scam is a classic advance fee fraud. The victim is always approved for a loan with these fake lenders but, as you would expect, there are various "fees" which must be paid before the victim is to receive any money.

There's a dangerous twist with this kind of scam. The fake lender will ask the victim for all sorts of personal information that would normally be required by a lending institution. Thus, the victim of this scam can lose money and become a prime candidate for identity theft.

Another straight forward advance fee scam is the fake loan scam. Basically, you are offered a loan with very attractive terms.

This scam is targeted toward individuals who wouldn't qualify for a loan from conventional lenders. In fact, everyone qualifies for a loan from a loan scammer.

Of course, the lender has no money to lend you but you'll be expected to pay "administrative charges" in advance just for the promise of receiving money from the lender.

Like the lottery scam, the fake loan scammer is counting on reaping relatively small sums of money (usually under $1000) from each of many victims.

Charity scams

The charity scam can be especially insidious in that it plays on your compassion rather than your natural desire to profit. You are offered absolutely nothing in return for sending money to the scammer. It is said that the most successful scam is the one where the victim never realizes that he or she has been rippedoff and with this type of scam, you may never figure out that you've been taken for a ride.

These scams often land in your e-mail box in the wake of a major natural disaster, most recently, during the aftermath of the devastating earthquakes in Haiti and Chile. Usually, they are just scammers posing as charities or churches looking for funds.

Pet Adoption Scams

Pet adoption scam e-mails are not particularly popular but judging by the number of e-mails I receive from victims of this scam, they seem to have a very high success rate.

By far, the most popular animal used in these scams is the Yorkshire Puppy but the kind of pet featured could be just about anything. Baby monkeys are also popular.

In this type of scam, the victim will be asked to adopt one or more of the scammer's pets. The scammer will claim that he or she is unable to keep the pet for one reason or another. Once the victim shows some interest this proposition, the scammer will send photos, fake documentation, etc. to get the victim hooked on the non-existent animal, then invent all sorts of fees that must be paid (by the victim, of course) before the animal(s) can be shipped.

This type of scam works well when the scammer has intimate knowledge of his victim as well as the person he or she is impersonating. When mass-mailed such as the above example had been, I can't see how it would work on anyone who doesn't have a close friend, family member, or associate who goes by the name that the scammer chooses to use and who also just happens to be unreachable.

The "Throwing Good Money After Bad" Scam The "Throwing Good Money After Bad" Scam (for lack of a better name) is one used by scammers to target previous victims of scams. Sometimes the scammer uses this type as a fresh approach to one of his current or previous victims.

Usually however, these scam e-mails are just sent out randomly in the hope that they'll get the attention of another scammer's mark.

In this type of scam, the scammer claims to be an official of some government, the United Nations, or an anti-scam organization. Often he will insist that in order for the victim to collect the money that he or she had previously been promised, they must now deal with him. Sometimes the scammer will instead offer some sort of financial package to reimburse the victims for their financial loss. The premise may vary slightly.

A popular letter is the one ostensibly from the director of the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation and here, we have one of the more comical attempts at impersonating FBI director, Robert S. Mueller.

As Egypt descends into deeper unrest with a seventh day of protests (Monday, Jan.31), the country’s Christians are falling victim to the chaos as their shops are looted and essential supplies start to run out.

According to one Christian organization working in the region, Egypt’s beleaguered Christian minority is on red alert today.

Barnabas Aid (www.barnabasfund.org ) the majority of Egyptian Christians already live in extreme poverty, and as the demonstrations paralyze daily life, their struggle to make ends meet has become harder. While many shops are being attacked and looted, Christian shops have been particularly targeted.

Barnabas Aid says Christian gatherings and church meetings have been cancelled, while some church minsters are sleeping in their church buildings to protect them from attack. A Barnabas Aid contact said that believers were staying in their homes, where they are “praying hard” and “trusting God” amid the tumult.

Barnabas Aid goes on to say that Egypt’s Christian community was already feeling under threat following targeted attacks, most notably the suicide bombing at a church in Alexandria on New Year’s Day that killed at least 21 worshippers. Now they find themselves caught up in an escalating political crisis that could have worrying implications for their future.

In a post on its website, Barnabas Aid says: “Though the unrest is essentially fuelled by economic, social and political grievances, there are growing fears that radical Islamists may capitalize on it to seize power. The Muslim Brotherhood, which is backing influential opposition leader Mohamed ElBaradei, is the only large, organized opposition group.”

Barnabas Aid quotes Former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton who warned this weekend that Egypt’s ancient Christian minority could become increasingly endangered should President Hosni Mubarak be ousted.

He said: “It is really legitimate for the (Christians) to be worried that instability (will) follow Mubarak’s fall and his replacement with the Muslim Brotherhood.”

In addition to the targeted, violent attacks, Egyptian Christians face discrimination in many areas of life, such as in education and employment. Conditions for them would only worsen under an Islamic regime.

Dr Patrick Sookhdeo, International Director of Barnabas Aid, said: “Christians in Egypt need our immediate practical help and prayer support as they find themselves embroiled in this unfolding crisis. We must also pray that as Egyptian citizens seek freedom from an autocratic leader, they will not fall into the hands of a strict Islamic regime that will only further oppress its people, especially Christians.”

Barnabas Aid supports Egyptian Christians through a variety of projects. In this time of crisis, many of the poorest and most vulnerable Christians are in need of food and other basics.

Egypt unrest signals danger for Christians In analysis of the situation in North Africa, Barnabas Aid says on its website that as growing unrest in Egypt leaves the country on the brink of revolution, there are fears

that radical Islamists may capitalize on the crisis to seize power â&#x20AC;&#x201D; signaling danger for the beleaguered Christian community.

Barnabas Aid says that protests against President Hosni Mubarakâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s authoritarian regime have been gathering momentum throughout this week, and off the back of the Tunisian uprising, which resulted in the ousting of President Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali, there is the mood and momentum for radical change in Egypt.
