EDITOR'S LETTER

The Sensational Issue was inspired by Creative Inspiration, Travel, & Pop Culture! Blessings were once again presented in my life through travel, as I was invited by the Italian Trade Commission to cover Genoa, a beautiful city in Italia. I was creatively inspired throughout my business mission in cooperation with Confartigianato Liguria, CNA Liguria, & the Italian Trade Agency. I learned about crafts of artisans in a myriad of different fields, & was able to return to Dubai enlightened, just in time for the most Sensational period with Pop Culture!

Based in Genoa, Liguria, a land of contrasts nestled between the surrounding mountains and the blue sea, Vigo Mosaici s.n.c. is an Italian company run by Marco and Massimo Vigo. The two brothers took over the family business from their father Mattia and grandfather Nicola and for three generations the Vigo family has preserved an ancient artisan trade with the aim of restoring dignity and beauty to the artistic heritage of grit flooring and marble mosaics passed down by the ancient master craftsmen of Venice and Genoa. Vigo Mosaici aims to give value to the huge artistic legacy that those before worked so hard to pass on, respectfully constructing and restoring this legacy and, at the same time, incorporating real passion with their work in order to boldly add innovation and character to what they do, while creating a new WWW.THE7THMAGAZINE.COM WWW.THE7THMAGAZINE.COM

The Sensationally Exclusive Interview with

Mr White Sensation has earned the distinction of being The World’s Leading Dance Event. It succeeds in creating an atmosphere of togetherness at even the most mammoth venues. With everyone dressed in white, the crowd is immersed in a tidal wave of unity and euphoria. The 7th Magazine had the opportunity to interview Sensation's Mr. White exclusively Mr White, who are you? In your own words – The opening act of every Sensation. A DJ who likes to play groovy, vocal and energetic house music to get the party going. Why are you called Mr. White? Mostly because I don’t think black is a color, but white is. ;) And of course because of the white theme of Sensation. How did White Sensation come to be? It started out as an event in Holland’s biggest football stadium more then 15 years ago, without the white dress code. In the second year, just before the event, Miles, the brother of Sensation’s founder Duncan Stutterheim, died in a car accident. To celebrate his life, most of the people who visited Sensation that year wore white clothes. WWW.THE7THMAGAZINE.COM That’s how it became the Sensation we know now. WWW.THE7THMAGAZINE.COM

What differences do you see from when you've first done White Sensation to now? The team behind Sensation has so much experience, which makes the show even more on point every year. They keep impressing me with show elements, decors and acts. As a fan, your sound has evolved, do you have anything in particular that has transpired this? Well, I think music is always evolving. Most of the songs which have been released ten years ago, sound dated. And I like the house'y, groovy thing which is going on right now, with DJ’s like Don Diabo, Oliver Heldens and Sunnery James & Ryan Marchiano. What music do you listen to? Artists in particular you enjoy listening to? I like to keep my influences diverse, so I try to listen to different sorts of DJ’s and artists. From old school Carl Cox or even Jazzy Jeff, to the newer names like Flume and Tchami.
