EDITOR'S LETTER Dubai is a place of luxury for many reasons. For the rich it's a playground, & for this edition I became rich in knowledge so to share my experiences creatively of this field of dreams. The multiculturalism is so vastly appreciated in Dubai, I've had the ability to connect with so many people from various backgrounds. Personally this has been the ultimate luxury. I'm blessed to have preparation meet opportunity so to have practicality on everything herein for all readers to rightfully experience luxuries I have worked all my life to showcase - The second issue of The 7th Magazine explores Creative Inspiration, Pop Culture, & Travel throughout Dubai, UAE.

Little Black Door (“LBD”) is a Made from Experiences. Yasin Saleh Mohamed (LBD Founder & Managing Partner) is a corporate lawyer by trade having worked for one of the largest global law firms in London.
Entering the hospitality industry was a long time goal so that he could merge his passion for A true lover of the “dated Interior Design and sophisticated European Hospitality with his lounge” . During Yasin's years of travel professional background throughout London, in the business world. Paris, greater Europe and New York, he drafted his version of an

“La Petite Maison”, Yasin came to meet one of its Managers by the name of “Yansane Abdou” (LBD Partner & General Manager).
From there a friendship grew based on similar family moral values, business ethics, hospitality quality understandings and diverse style appreciations.
As an “Urban Gentlemen’s Lounge”, Little Black Door is the contemporary evolution to what would otherwise be a classic old-school watering hole if placed in another era.

The primary ethos both from an overall brand perspective and specifically in relation to the interior design, product and service is a focus on “Urban Understated Elegance”... Contemporary ideas based on historically successful hospitality foundations and social protocols. Again based on the overall premise of “Urban Understated Elegance”. Although avoiding any reference to the over-commercialized “Speak Easy” concepts that have flooded the hospitality market over the last decade, Little Black Door still exercises great discretion with no signage and limited marketing promotion amongst friends and regular patrons. With a black door, which is anything but little, its signature Lotus Lion door-knocker is its sole emblem of arrival as they believe word of mouth is the most honest form of brand growth. Little Black Door prides itself on detailed aesthetics, quality materials and ambiance. With products from London, Italy, Miami, South Africa and Germany; no expense was spared to detail in which the furniture was predominantly custom made.

The design is nothing short of a decadent mix of a cheeky discrete staircase; diverse elegant tables; candlelit fireplaces; Venusian patterned carpet rugs; naughty story-worthy powder rooms; classic backlight London bar lighting; a crystal whiskey decanter lite hallway; a copper rose-gold bar; and the numerous custom made metal and crystal chandeliers, the latter of which best articulates the conceptualization of “Urban Understated Elegance”.... “Its where Brooklyn meets Vienna”. But it is the room’s focal point, the iron Gong with Lotus Lion logo overlooking all of the social festivities, which steals the show especially when the night starts reaching its apex!! LBD imposes a ban on champagne sparklers when celebrating bottle purchases shunning the need for overt “bling” focusing more on substance and patron involvement via the gong. The aim of Little Black Door is to not only encourage discretion, but in fact new experiences as you Pass The Threshold. Music is a perfect expression of creating and enhancing feelings.
