Wedding Checklist
When you get engaged! • Your top 4 to get sorted are 1. Church 2. Venue 3. Band 4. Photographer • Start planning your guest list. Decide on approximate number of guests • Pop the question to your bridesmaids and groomsmen • Pick potential wedding dates - check with important guests to avoid clashes • Enlist any helpers/talented friends or family with some jobs, eg: cake, flowers, dresses etc 12 Months Before Your Wedding • Research potential wedding services and suppliers - photographer, florist, invitations, cake, decor, music, hair and make up. We have a list of great suppliers that will help you! • Decide what type of entertainment you want for ceremony & drinks reception (if any) • Book Videographer -optional • Start wedding dress research • Send ‘Save the Date’ cards - optional - This is very useful if guests are travelling from abroad (we can help you with this, as it is part of The Landmark’s 5th Element!) 8/10 months before • Order your Wedding Dress • Book ceremony music • Research and reserve accommodations for guests, we have an Accommodation list for you. • Order wedding cake or use the Landmark Innovation our imitation cake! • Book Pre-Marriage Course (if required) 6/8 months before • Ensure passports are in date for honeymoon - order new ones if necessary • Start planning your honeymoon - the holiday of a lifetime!! 4-6 months before • Choose bridesmaids’ dresses • Choose where to source the men’s formal wear • Choose and order wedding invitations & stationery • Attend pre-marriage counselling (if required)

2-3 months before • Send invitations to guests • Order wedding rings • Groom and his Groomsmen to get fitted for their formalwear and the ladies too! • Organise gifts for parents, bridesmaids, groomsmen and each other (!!) • Book hairdresser and organize hair trial • Book a makeup artist and go for makeup trial 4 weeks before • Have final wedding dress fitting • Make any last-minute adjustments with suppliers • Finalise details for and order ceremony booklets • Finalise your choice of dishes to create your Wedding Banquet 2 weeks before • Review final RSVP list and call any guests who have not yet responded • Send a list of must-have shots to photographer and videographer. Include who should be in formal portraits and determine when portraits will be taken. We’ll help you out with a list of great photo locations! 1 week before • Create your table plan - Moposa will help with this! • Call all wedding suppliers to confirm arrangements and provide an emergency phone number to call on the day of the wedding. • Get manicure, massage, waxing & all your preening and prep • Do full wedding dress rehearsal from underwear to veil • Pack an overnight bag and drop to the Landmark the day before your Wedding • Pack for the honeymoon
• Final meeting at The Landmark with your Tean to finalise any details and drop off any items for the Big Day! • Organise money to be paid to suppliers on the day 2-3 days before • 48hrs before confirm final guest members with your wedding team • Make last minute changes to table plan if necessary and email to your Wedding Team • Groom: Go for final fitting and pick up your formalwear and ask the best man to make sure all groomsmen attend fittings and pick up their outfits. • Confirm pick-up times with wedding car company Day before • Ensure the cake is on track to be delivered to The Landmark • Rehearse ceremony • Say your final farewells to each other and get a good night’s rest! • Give the gifts for your parents to the best man/bridesmaid for after the speeches
Your Wedding Day! • • • •
Give wedding bands to the best man to hold during the ceremony Give best man the officiant’s fee envelope, to be given after the ceremony Assign a family member or guests to be the photographer’s contact so he knows who is who. On arrival to The Landmark, you will be shown to your private suite where you will relax for a while with your Bridal Party and close family. Everyone will meet and get to know your Wedding Team
And then.... Relax in the comfort and joy of having the people who love you most, your family and friends, around you. Be sure to steal a minute or two TOGETHER, run away to a quiet corner and pinch each other – Your day has finally arrived!! You are Husband and Wife!!! Whoop! Whoop!!
