"I lived in Finsbury Park but when we started looking for a new property, I fell in love with the Bermondsey Street area and its village feel. It's like a secret location right by the river.

The property we ended up buying is actually one of the first ones we saw. Our buyers took ages to get their mortgage organised, so we ended up seeing quite a few, but we kept coming back to this one because it felt so cosy and lovely.

"Since moving into the property, I've done loads of work on it. I took the fl oors out, levelled them up, and put down wooden fl oors. I've put in a new kitchen, two new bathrooms, and bought mostly new furniture to go with the apartment. The only thing I kept was a coat hook in the hallway, and the radiators!

The master bedroom is my favourite room. I can fi t a super king bed there, there's a lovely built-in wardrobe that fi ts all my clothes, and for the fi rst time in my adult life I actually have an en-suite bathroom. It feels like a little sanctuary – I love it!"
