If you’ve been wondering, When will it ever end, as you think of the anxiety, hardships, or loss of a loved one, and drudgery of the past two years, take heart. Some big, positive changes in the planets’ positions are likely to improve your life. In April 2022, in fact, both Jupiter and Saturn will change their positions in the zodiac, bringing a sense of relief and much needed hope—especially in the lives of those who have suffered from the overwhelming influence of Saturn in Capricorn. Of course, as you follow Vedic astrology you already understand that planets don’t influence us all in the same way, because our individual karma or thought process acts as a filter, and changes our perceptions. Jupiter And Its Far-reaching Blessings

Jupiter will enter its own watery, dual sign Meena or Pisces on April 13, just shy of the Sun’s exalted entrance into Aries the next day. According to Vedic astrology that uses the soli-lunar calendar, Jupiter in Meena is very comfortable, a benefic and brings mystical, optimistic, gentle vibes that can heal our souls, because this is one of the most God oriented placements for Jupiter. In 2020, a weaker Jupiter received a very harsh treatment in Capricorn in the presence of Saturn—in very close proximity as they hadn’t been for centuries. A weak Jupiter can contribute to greed, untruth, unethical tendencies, lack of hope, and matters around children bring worries and suffering. Hard work and material gains take precedence over generosity, compassion, and inspiration, which are Jupiter’s altruistic domains. Also, in Capricorn Jupiter was barely able to defuse Saturn’s fearsome energy, even though Lord Saturn is actually neutral to Jupiter—and technically the debilitation of Jupiter was cancelled. Even later in 2021 from visionary Aquarius, Jupiter still remained under the influence of a powerful Saturn. So finally in his more inspirational sign, Meena, a dreamier, pure, and intuitive Jupiter will restore faith in the Divine, and bring desires for peace, bliss, righteousness and material prosperity all at once. Thanks to Jupiter’s placement in Pisces—a watery, satwic, and spiritual sign—charitable institutions will flourish and interests in virtue, poetry, and lyrical music will return, after 11 years of trends gravitating around experimental, darker genres in both the arts and morals. It’s said that harsh times of calamity and sorrow often lead to a return to God and goodness. Jupiter or Guru is the ruler of the most evolved element—space—so an upswing in prayer and meditation is very likely. Both Jupiter in gentler, compassionate Meena, and Saturn in Kumbha will likely stir our collective vision to truer and nobler activities, which can benefit humanity and even future generations. These changes will soothe the stress from the recent great conjunction of four (even five with the Moon) planets in Capricorn—a sign that also represents corporate interests that too often lead to concentration of wealth and power in the hands of a few.

including Saturn, and you’ve been under pressure at work, feeling fatigued and working very hard. Saturn in Kumbha will bring you more money. Optimism will return. Be flexible in your work and take time off for meditation and yoga. You’ll be lucky in business and success is in the stars. Your hard work will bless you with laurels and you’ll receive respect and recognition. Be gentle with your partner who might feel the tension from your excessive workload this year. If you’re a student, work hard and trust that you’ll be rewarded. Medical students will be lucky. Regular medical checkups and exercise are recommended. Aquarius With Saturn joining your Moon, you might feel under pressure to perform at work. But your ruling planet Saturn will remain favorable to you. Over all, your profession will make you happy, and your authority figures will be pleased with your performance. Stay focused and disciplined. Relax with long walks and read the remedies section below. Try meditation if you still haven’t. Be loyal and diplomatic in your relationship, and your spouse will be by your side bringing you the support you need. Students will achieve their goals. Take care of any prior ailments by seeking medical care and stay in good shape with vigorous exercise. Pisces Saturn will move to your 12th house and you might feel a bit lethargic. You’ll want to spend more time alone and meditate. But wealth and success will come to you easily. You’ll have good luck when you travel abroad for work or a pilgrimage, and you’ll spend money for charity. It’s all good for you. Save some money for yourself too. Business will bring good revenue. You’ll be happy in all your relationships. Students will meet with success. Keep a diet of healthy foods. Try to take short walks in nature. REMEDIES

NotABlE horosCoPE aN OdE TO THE NIGHTINGalE Of INdIa

Dr. E. S. Neelakantan

Dr. E S Neelakantan developed an interest in Astrology by reading the works of Dr. B V Raman. He learnt Astrology in a formal way under Prof. K V Seshadrinatha Sastri, and for his thesis on Medical Astrology, he was awarded Ph.D., by Sri Chandrasekarendra University, Kancheepuram, in 2005. He is a recipient of the “Nostradamus Award” instituted by Express Star Teller for his accurate forecasts. He is the author of a textbook on “Asktakavarga” in which he has lucidly brought out the fundamental principles of the Ashtakavarga System of Prediction.

In his legendary poem “Ode to the Nightingale” John Keats wrote

“Darkling I listen; and, for many a time I have been half in love with easeful Death, Call’d him soft names in many a mused rhyme, To take into the air my quiet breath; Now more than ever seems it rich to die, To cease upon the midnight with no pain, While thou art pouring forth thy soul abroad In such an ecstasy!

Still, wouldst thou sing, and I have ears in vain— To thy high requiem become a sod.” This poem of Keats seems to reverberate perfectly with the Life and Times of the Nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar, whose sonorous voice continues to delight the minds of both the young and old music lovers not only in India but also across the world. While John Keats in his poem states that the voice of the Nightingale would continue to delight the listeners even if he were to be no more, in the case of Lata, her albums, which carry her golden voice, would bring joy to the music lovers till eternity. The passing away of Lata Mangeshkar leaves behind a void, which can never probably be filled in. She continues to be a source of inspiration for budding singers aspiring for Stardom. Lata Mangeshkar was born on 28th September 1929 at 22.40 hours at Indore, presently in Madhya Pradesh (and formerly the Princely state of Indore forming part of the Central India Agency in British India ). Her father, Deenanath Mangeshkar was a Classical Singer while her Mother, Shevanti was from Gujarat. She was the eldest child in the family and her siblings, Meena, Asha, Usha and Hridaynath were all accomplished singers. She received her first music lesson from her father at the age of five. In 1942, Lata Mangeshkar lost her father. The 9th lord in the 8th, a Dustana and debilitated in Navamsa and the aspect of Mars on the 9th were the causative factors. He died in the Dasha of Saturn; Mars bhukthi commenced on 20.09.1942, indicating an adverse period for her father. Saturn with 3 Bindus in the BAV chart is also weak. The SAV chart also shows 24 Bindus which is a below-average figure for the Ninth house. The aspect of Saturn on the Pitr Karaka Sun is also detrimental to the longevity of the father. Migration to Bombay

Lata Mangeshkar migrated to Mumbai (erstwhile Bombay) in the year 1945. Vinayak Damodar Karnataki, (alias Master Vinayak), the owner of the Navyug Chitrapat movie company was a close friend of the Mangeshkar family. He was the person to help launch her career in the tinsel world. In 1945, Lata was under the combined influence of Mercury and Saturn as lord of dasa and bhukthi, both of whom happen to be auspicious trinal lords. Vinayak passed away in 1948, while she was in Ketu Dasa, Moon bhukthi wherein the dasa lord is a dire enemy of the bhukthi lord. Locating The Godfather

After Vinayak’s death, music director Ghulam Haider mentored her as a singer. At that time producer, Sashadhar Mukherjee was working on the movie Shaheed. It was Ghulam Haider who referred Lata to

We are living in times of ultimate changes to the concept of the world per se. What goes up must come down. As the saying goes “when you are on top of the mountain, there is nowhere to go but down.” Russia had its share of wars, revolutions and collapse. It always emerged with a new powerful leader (dictator) whose interest in enrichment and wellbeing supersedes that of his country. The ultimate struggle has unfolded and “Custer’s last stand” will manifest itself on the world stage to the extent that other countries are forcefully involved in or seeking advantage by the Russian power grab. Looking at the chart of the USSR, Ukraine, China and its leaders, they all will be greatly affected by the sable rattling of Putin’s zest for ultimate glory. Taking the Russian chart by dating it Nov. 7, 1917, we find Mars the planet of war in square with Jupiter, indicating overwhelming and self-aggrandizement regardless of the feelings of others. Total control through extreme behavior and power plays will ultimately lead to disaster and distraction. Constant restlessness and a change of course will bring unpopularity. Opposition is not tolerated and many will perish and suffer from incarceration. Unfounded optimism and high self interest eventually will lead to fatal mistakes and selfundoing. Secret crimes and martial excitement will undermine the progress of the country. Russia

House 6 provides for Mercury 16 , Sun 14  square Uranus 19  (house 11 of parliament) This is unfortunate for the government, strikes, riots etc. Sudden trouble to the government (this will come as soon as Uranus transits and activates the natal position) While false steps are taken which create difficulties with friends, enemies are made and autocratic use of power will break down the entire system. Defeat of the government through great changes is on the horizon. Sudden ideas turn impractical, are too grandees, way out and beyond existing experience. Rejecting good advice from others, together with a constant change of mind hinders logic to be applied. Tactless behavior, bitter and cutting remarks as well as obstinacy are used to please the ego. Struggle with advancements will be experienced. The mind is very thick headed; fights are pursued to the bitter end regardless of costs and sacrifices involved. Friends need to provide favors in order to be accepted. Actions are mostly taken in secret and grudges are held on to the bitter end. Plotting and scheming is the order of the day to apply ulterior motives in hope to advance through others. A strong determination is used to plough ahead without regards to consequences. Mistrust prevents real cooperation. Pluto natal appearance in the 3rd house covers scheming and plotting against friends and neighbors as well as a desire to upset the established social order which, in the long run, create chaos and destruction. In 2012 Pluto’s transit opposing Pluto natal position set in motion the end of a circle and the destruction of existing conditions. Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune and Uranus are all transiting through Russia’s 12th house and, when afflicted negatively provide for self-undoing that, once completed will wipe out what previously has been the basis of the country. Pluto’s transit through the 10th house sets the stage for the power play instigated by its ruler, Putin. Pluto (N) opposes Venus (N) stands for dictatorial behavior, leads to violence, loss of finances and results in a down fall.
