WHITE RABBIT PRESENTS
In August 2011, London was burning. This exhibition tells the story of one Londoner’s response to the riots and their aftermath. In words and photographs you see Bernadette Russell trying to be kind to a stranger every day for a year in a bid to answer the question: ‘Is it possible to change the world, just by being kind?’
On 18 August 2011, in response to the riots and after a chance encounter in a Deptford post office, Bernadette Russell embarked on a mission to be kind to a stranger every day for a year. This show, part stand up, part storytelling, charts this amazing year, which began with burning buildings, and ended with the flame of the Olympic torch.
Free, just turn up. All ages. Location: DEPTFORD LOUNGE
