WHAT IS THE ANGLING TRUST? • The Angling Trust, formed in 2009, is the first unified representative organisation for all freshwater and sea anglers in England • Recognised by Government as the national governing body for our sport, the Angling Trust is a non-profit organisation working for the benefit of fish and fishing • It is funded by Sport England and the Environment Agency to deliver increased participation in angling, and membership fees are also a vital contribution to support its wider work • Fish Legal acts as the legal arm of the Angling Trust and takes civil legal action against polluters and others who damage fisheries interests
“ I have seen at first-hand how effectively the Angling Trust lobbies on behalf of angling and the environment.” RICHARD BENYON MP Ambassador for the Angling Trust.

“ Anglers need a voice, and the waters we fish need an even louder voice, if fish stocks and the ecosystems they depend upon are to be protected and valued.” DR MARK EVERARD Ambassador for the Angling Trust.
