7 KEYS to BRANDING
Although it is hardly a revelation; most brands fail at what they are trying to accomplish due to how clueless so many small businesses, executives and entrepreneurs are about what branding truly is. Most people think of branding as a simple logo, but a logo is just the beginning of a brand’s visual aspect (which also includes the website, marketing materials, and ad copy — which in turn includes tag lines, marketing/PR/ sales copy, and advertisements). But a brand’s visual elements are only half of the story. Less tangible assets such as corporate culture, how the executive team and even how employees conduct themselves are all part of what makes up a brand’s DNA. With that in mind, here are seven keys to building a successful brand?
1. Create the right tagline. Spend a full day with other team members talking about how you want to be perceived in public. Ask yourself what the emotional reaction is that you want your audience to have when engaging with your brand and what do you want them to remember? Then develop your tagline based on your discussion.
By Regina Fraga it has been said and proven, that it only takes one customer’s bad experience with one bad employee to sabotage an entire business. 4. Be patient with your brand. Take on new outreach initiatives with your upmost care. Do not rush any of your outreach activities, whether they be PR, advertising, or marketing materials. These things take time. 5. Be consistent. Think of your outreach as being interconnected, like a body. Your brand is the brain. Extensions of your brain are public relations, advertising, marketing, and sales, which must be coordinated and aligned to function properly. In addition, the copy, design and language your team uses must always be based off of the brand. In order to achieve this, you should try to find people who capture the essence of your brand and use them consistently.
6. Get help. Branding is not easy. If it were, there would be many more stronger brands in the small business community. The reason the Nike’s, Walmart’s, and Target’s of the world can have 2. Stand out from the crowd. Think strong brands about who your audience is. who can take you through the branding process so you see things more clearly, get a different perspective, and go about branding in a way that will allow you to reach your market more efficiently. 7. Put people first. Your brand is more than the company. It is the executive team’s and the individual employees’ personal brand as well. People do business with people. A strong CEO brand, executive brand, or personal brand helps build a positive reputation overall. Most people prefer working with businesses that are people-oriented and actually care about their customers. So be that company by embodying a peoplefirst attitude in all that you and your employees do. Additionally, do not rush to get a website up by programmers who have no design skills and are using predesigned templates, bring in the cheapest employees to do core functions such as customer service, pick a generic business card template, run disjointed advertising, PR, and marketing initiatives. These things can all lead to the initial death of your brand, before it even has a chance to take off!

CULTURE
By Mona Pollina First, let me say that in regards to this question and what this pertains to it doesn’t matter whether or not if you believe in Jesus or satan. In this world there are still inherent principles that are at work in our life whether we believe them or not. For example: If you jump off of a 20 story building you will fall to the ground and likely die because the “law of gravity” is in effect. It doesn’t matter if you believe it or not because gravity doesn’t have anything to do with what you believe.
words we speak. You don’t have to believe in Jesus or satan for our words to create what we speak. Why, because the fact is that words do have power and from a Biblical standpoint it can mean life and death. It’s just like the “law of attraction”; you become what you say, you will have what you speak whether it is good or bad. If your life is less than what you would like it to be you might want to take notice of what is coming out of your mouth. Are you speaking life to yourself, to others, to the situation you are in or are you speaking doom and gloom? Do you say things like: “My back is killing me”; “I’m never going to nd a job”; “I’m always broke”; “I’m so stupid”; “I must be crazy”; “I’m so ugly”?
come forth right that moment and some may take affect years later but they will come forth. I love the Bible verse Proverbs 18:20-21 “A man’s [moral] self shall be lled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satis ed [whether good or evil]. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].” Our words are seeds that produce a (good or bad) crop or fruit. There are consequences for our speech, whether we mean what we say or not and whether we believe it or not.
We have been conditioned to believe that our speech is just a The same is true with the “law of attraction”. You don’t have to In anger our words get much more way of expressing ourselves and there are no consequences to believe in the “law of attraction” damaging even to the point of them. CULTURE don’t believe that but it doesn’t change the fact that it is TRUTH. I can speak about this because I have experienced the outcome of the words that have come forth out of my mouth and the mouths of others, which gives credence to this very fact that our words do have power. Maybe the situations we encounter in our lives are of our own doing and can be corrected by changing what we speak forth about ourselves and about others. What do you have to lose if you change the way you speak but disappointment, discouragement, sickness, poverty, doubt and a sad future? Examine the words you speak forth; they are creating your now, your future.
Speak words of life Today’s culture is all about electronic devices. From smart phones to tablets to laptops. Most people have a least one type of electronic device in their home. According to the 2017 Statista survey, 75% of survey respondents in the United States said that they used a smartphone. 88% said they used PC’s & laptops which is the highest usage.

1. Arthritis – One cause is an excess of
uric acid that builds up in the body. Citric acid found in citrus fruits like limes is a solvent in which uric acid can dissolve helping with inflammation.
2. Constipation – Lime juice with salt acts as an excellent laxative without any side effects, thereby providing relief from constipation.
3. Diabetes – Limes & other citrus fruits
are considered a diabetes super food because of the high levels of soluble fiber found in them, which helps regulate the body’s absorption of sugar into the bloodstream. Also, limes and other citrus fruits have a low glycemic index, which means that they will not cause unexpected spikes in glucose levels.
4. Digestion – The vitamin-C & natural
acidity of limes stimulates the digestive system and increase secretion of digestive juices, bile and acids aiding in overall digestion.
5. Eye Care – Limes have anti-oxidant
properties that protect eyes from aging and macular degeneration. On top of that, their flavonoids help protect them from infections.
6. Fever – Mild to moderate fever can be
managed by the vitamin-C found in limes, which naturally lowers the temperature of the body.
7. Gums – The root cause of gum problems is a deficiency of vitamin-C and microbial growth. The vitamin-C found in limes
cures scurvy, inhibits microbial growth, while potassium & flavonoids (from limes) together help heal ulcers and wounds.
8. Heart Disease – The soluble fiber
found in limes can lower blood pressure & eliminate the presence of LDL cholesterol. It can also cut down on inflammation of the blood vessels, which is a known preventative measure against heart diseases, heart attacks, and strokes.
9. Skin Care – Lime juice and its natural
oils are very beneficial for skin when consumed orally or applied externally. It rejuvenates the skin, keeps it shining, protects it from infections & reduces body odor. It can also be used to create a refreshing bathing experience if its juice or oil is mixed into your bathing water.
10. Weight Loss – A glass of warm water
with a full lime’s worth of juice in it is an excellent weight reducer & fat burner.

The Incredible Shrinking Woman By Ayisha Unique
I used to be that girl! Embraced my skin, was the “plus size” model at every fashion show, claiming “big is beautiful” and it is, but so is being healthy. When your limbs are so small and your body is so big. When you can’t cross your arms or your legs, what about placing your hand on your hip and it sliding right off? Being fat is a choice just like being healthy is a choice. It all starts with a decision of what matters the most to you. If you were to put an obese person next to a skinny person, and look at their skeleton, you would see the bones are the same size. So that “I’m just big bone” theory remains to be in fact just that – a theory! As a former “fat girl” I had every excuse in the book, until I became “The Incredible Shrinking Woman.” By no means did I want to take this journey, but knew that I had to and I am so glad I did.
doctor came in to tell me I was borderline diabetic. The only words I heard out of all of that was, “your fat”! So naturally what do we do as human beings? We ignore the signs! Almost immediately after leaving, I found the closest fast food joint and boy was it good! You see I grew up in a Puerto Rican household where fried, flavorful goodness was the norm. So, changing my eating habits to going on a “diet” was by no means in my vocabulary or on the “To do list.” Some time passed by and I was invited to a pool party. I’m pretty sure you know what comes next. I put my bathing suit on from the year before and walked out the door, got to the party and all eyes were on me, “the fat girl”. Clearly, they were thinking “why on earth did she think it was okay to wear that, being that big?” I stayed covered up the whole time and ran in the pool when I wanted to go in, just so no one would look at me. Going out with my friends I was always the “fat girl” of the group and there were countless times I would hear, “You would be so pretty if you lost some weight.”
“I’m just big bone”
One morning during a routine checkup at the doctor’s office (shortly after cringing about the reading on the scale), the
Enough was enough and I had to do something. I got in contact with an old high school classmate and asked what she was doing because at this point I knew I needed help. You see as a “fat girl” I would always ask others who were overweight, how to lose weight! What sense did that make? Why is thin and pretty, scary for most? The best decision of my life was made shortly after finally facing that fear. I got started on a nutrition program and immediately saw results within my first week! I had to set a goal of what I wanted and then follow through to get there. The great American author and incredible motivational speaker Zig Ziglar said “If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time.” You see, I didn’t make any changes or get any results, until I had something to work at and aim for. I started learning about my body, started learning about proper nutrition, and was excited to see what could come of this healthy lifestyle change! My first four months I dropped 20 pounds, with no exercise. I by no means am encouraging you to sit, but it

just shows you that 80% of what you put in your body is in fact where the mystery lies! I am now 9 months into my journey and it has allowed me to lose over 35 pounds and over 22 inches; going from a size 22 to a 12! A few of the greatest victories for me so far have been getting my scale out of the 200’s, being able to cross my legs and NOT FITTING into any of my clothes! Not to mention, people started watching and word travels fast. Everyone wanted to know what I was doing and how I was doing it.
Why? Because due to obesity rates and poor nutrition, we have allowed ourselves to succumb to society and it is not okay! I happen to be just one of the many voices with the ability to change our daily eating habits and plan to stand for every bit of it.
According to the National Institutes of Health: More than one-third (35.7 percent) of adults are considered to be obese. More than 1 in 20 (6.3 percent) have extreme obesity. Almost 3 in 4 men (74 percent) are considered to be overweight or obese. The prevalence of John C.
