The Aquinian, the official student publication of UST Junior High School, aims to educate the UST JHS students and spread awareness on the importance of media literacy. Through the implementation of this project, we would like to amplify the significance of responsible media consumption in countering misinformation and disinformation and emphasize the importance of analytical and critical thinking in line with the SEAL of Thomasian Education, which serves as the foundation of the Dominican educators in forming young Thomasians.
Through Project EFAS, the UST JHS students would be able to help alleviate the worsening situation of disinformation in the country as they serve as role models to other users of social media. As a student publication, we believe that the internet must be a safer place especially for the Filipino youth, and promoting our advocacy to the members of the Generation Z through Project EFAS is one step for us to achieve that goal.
