DAREDEVIL “EL HOMBRE SIN MIEDO”: Acerca de los 100 primeros números que subastamos: Daredevil fue creado en 1964 por el legendario Stan Lee, el padre de Marvel Comics, por el artista Bill Everett y la contribución –relevante o no pues se desconoce- del prestigioso dibujante de la casa: Jack Kirby. El número 1 (Daredevil #1) lanzado en abril de 1964 cuenta la historia del origen del “diablo rojo”: Matt Murdock, residente en el barrio de Hell´s Kitchen de Nueva York, queda ciego en un accidente con una substancia radioactiva que al mismo tiempo le concede grandes poderes, como abogado defiende causas justas de día, y de noche se convierte en “el hombre sin miedo”. Si en los primeros 6 números de DD le vemos vestir un traje ajustado de color amarillo y negro, en el 7 (Daredevil #7) su uniforme cambia al color rojo que todos reconocemos hoy. Matt (y su alter ego, Daredevil) buscan, a lo largo de la colección, la venganza de la muerte de su padre a manos de unos asesinos, será el comienzo de una lucha duradera con antihéroes como Kinping o Bullseye. Desde su origen en 1964 DD ha contado con artistas de la talla de Everett, Kirby, John Romita, Gene Colan, entre otras. En el número 12 (Daredevil #12) se produce la vuelta al entintado de John Romita tras años dibujando para la DC comics –el prefirió centrarse en el entintado y dejar su faceta de dibujo-; En Daredevil #16 el justiciero se encuentra por primera vez con otro “vigilante enmascarado”, Spiderman, en lo que será una bonita amistad, con uno de los superhéroes más famosos de todos los tiempos, y probablemente el favorito de Stan Lee, el cerebro que diseñó “la casa de las ideas”, sobrenombre de Marvel. En estos números el dibujo fue cosa de Gene Colan, y no solo eso, Stan Lee le dejaba participar activamente en los guiones. A pesar de esto Lee ha contado en el alguna ocasión que la historia de Daredevil #47 es de la que más orgulloso se encuentra de toda su carrera (¡Hablamos del tipo que creó a Los 4 fantásticos, los X-Men, y a Spiderman! Desde el número #51 Lee cede del testigo del guión a Roy Thomas (encargado de continuar otras series que Lee fue cediendo debido a su involucración en otras colecciones), pero continuó como editor hasta el número 91. Si en los primeros números se contó el origen de Daredevil y sus antagonistas (The Owl, StiltMan, Gladiator, the Enforces…) fue en los años 80 de la mano del dibujante Frank Miller cuando Daredevil pasó a formar parte de la élite marveliana y a convertirse en un personaje clave, desde entonces su figura ha aparecido en series animadas de televisión, videojuegos, merchandising, películas de cine, y últimamente en una serie de televisión de Netflix. La colección de Daredevil está incluida en el Top 20 de colecciones más valiosas de la denominada “Silver Age” de la industria del cómic.
