We will begin with warm-up drawings; brief exercises and demonstrations will show you how to capture the essence of the model. Class work will progress to more extended poses in which you will apply the principles learned to your paintings. Emphasis will be on color mixing, shape making, composition and loose brushwork. Figure drawing experience is necessary; some previous watercolor painting is suggested. Please note: You will need to park offsite for this class; the parking lot is reserved on Sundays by the Demarest Baptist Church for services.
