COVID-19 Reopening Plan (as of 6/23/20) The purpose of this summary is to outline The Art School at Old Church’s return to school guidelines and re-opening of the facility during the COVID-19 pandemic. By entering The Art School at Old Church, faculty/staff/students certify that he/she: • Has not had a fever for at least 72 hours (e.g. 3 full days of no fever without the use of medicine that reduces fevers). Your temperature will be checked upon entering the building. • Does not have any symptoms of COVID-19 including cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, feelings of lethargy or body aches, or loss of taste or smell. • Has not been in contact with anyone he/she knows has been exposed to, may have symptoms associated with, or was diagnosed with COVID-19 for the 14 calendar days prior to the intended visit. Staff, faculty, and students who cannot certify all of the above must not come to The Art School. These guidelines have been carefully considered to address and promote the safety, health, and welfare of our community. In summary: • Classrooms will be limited to 50% capacity (approximately five to six students and one faculty member/class). • All staff, faculty, and students are required to wear masks at all times. • Students should arrive on-time for their class. Please do not arrive early or leave late in order to allow ample time and social distancing for those entering/exiting. Those that arrive early will be asked to wait outside, in their car, or in the Gallery (socially distanced). • No children or additional guests are allowed in the building. No outside visitors will be permitted in the Gallery at this time. • Temperatures will be checked upon entering the building and/or studio. Anyone with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher will be asked to leave. • All staff, faculty, and students must wash their hands immediately after entering the building. There are two bathrooms located on the main floor. All studios have sinks and soap dispensers. There is also an antibacterial dispenser located near the coffee station. • Areas around the building will be taped off to define directions to enter/exit the building and studios. Studio tables will be placed 6 feet apart or be marked with tape to space students accordingly. Students and faculty should not move tables/chairs or add chairs to the studio. • Students should bring their own supplies and limit the sharing of equipment. Gloves should be worn when using shared equipment and items should be wiped down after use. Antibacterial/antiviral spray cleaner and paper towels will be provided in each studio. Please thoroughly clean your area at the end of your class session. • Credit card payments and checks are preferred at this time to limit the exchange of cash. • The coffee station, refrigerator, and water dispenser will be closed at this time. • Staff will work on a rotating schedule in order to limit the overall number of people in the building at any given time. • Art School staff and faculty will assist with daily cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch areas within the reception area and bathrooms. • Our professional cleaning service will thoroughly clean and disinfect the building on a regular basis. • Signs will be posted regarding how to stop the spread of COVID-19, properly wash hands, promote everyday protective measures, and properly wear a face covering.

If students (or anyone in their household) is suspected of having COVID-19, or has tested positive for COVID-19, they should notify the School immediately. Your privacy will be respected; however, we will take necessary action to communicate any potential spread of the virus, including closing for a short time in order to clean and disinfect the building. We will continue to monitor state and local health department notices daily about transmission in the area and adjust our operations as necessary. We ask that everyone respect the guidelines above.
