Dear Friends,

Happy holidays! I am so glad you are here at Bass Performance Hall to celebrate the season with The Nutcracker. It’s a beautiful production choreographed by our Artistic Director Laureate, Ben Stevenson, O.B.E. His creativity, charm, and powerful storytelling abilities are evident through every scene of this holiday classic.

Over the course of our Nutcracker run, our talented company of dancers will perform this ballet more than 25 times. Many will dance multiple roles and some are stepping into new roles for the first time this year. It’s exciting to see dancers expand their repertoire and take on new opportunities, and I know you’ll be able to see their excitement onstage.

The magic of ballet doesn’t end after the curtain closes on The Nutcracker. We have two more exciting productions on the horizon in our 22-23 season: Modern Masterpieces, a mixed bill featuring three dynamic ballets, and the family-favorite Alice in Wonderland.
