CAT (THE PLAY)
WRITTEN BY RICHARD HARDWICK & JAMIE BEAMISH Theatre Royal is delighted to welcome back CAT (The Play) for two performances only. Featuring songs ‘supposedly’ cut from some of your favourite ALW shows, CAT (the play) also contains high kicks, swearing and a lot of lycra. CAT (the play) is the tale of ‘Dave the Cat’, who tells us in his own words how he was sacked from the original production of that famous musical Cats on opening night and has never quite recovered.
SIDELINE What started as a side project for seasoned players (hence the name) Sideline has released 4 critically acclaimed albums combining a well-chosen mix of new material with hard-hitting neo-traditional covers of bluegrass classics including their number 1 hit ‘Thunder Dan’. Recorded or live, their pulse-pounding drive, perfect timing, crisp instrumentals, powerful harmonies, and on-stage energy remind fans why they fell in love with bluegrass in the first place.

DAVID MCSAVAGE NATIONAL TREASURE It has been said he is to comedy what the Abbey is to theatre. Maybe because he believes he’s more important than he is, or that the majority of the country doesn’t care about him. But unlike the Abbey theatre David’s best days aren’t behind him, his intention for this new show is for you the audience member to feel “wow that was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen, it was so original, courageous, and yet very flawed. I would really like to be his friend”. Please note: This performance may contain materials that some find offensive!
SUSAN MCCANN

CROWMAN
BY KATIE HOLLY STARRING JON KENNY Jon plays Dan, a man in his 50s who is living alone. After a dear friend passing, he is forced to look back on his own troubled youth and face up to his demons. The play is at times poignant and tragic yet also has a warmth and humour as Jon slips seamlessly in and out of the many uproariously funny characters. The people he depicts are surreal but tinged with tragedy and Jon plays each with his amazing ability of character acting and hilarious humour.
