CELEBRATE CARNEGIE DAY
1:00 PM
Presented in partnership with the Osher Lifelong Learning Center at Johns Hopkins University, this engaging lecture and discussion by Dan Sherman, PhD, will highlight the enduring appeal of this beloved film as it celebrates 80 years. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to celebrate Casablanca and its exciting milestone!
We are delighted to invite you to join us in celebrating “Carnegie Day,” on August 10, 2023 as designated by the City of Gaithersburg’s leadership. The Carnegie cherishes the artistic, intellectual and farm-to-table culture Gaithersburg and its surrounding communities have to offer, and we are so grateful to call this incredibly diverse, vibrant and culturally rich city home. In honor of this special day, we invite you to experience a few local gems with us. DUE
Learn the ins, outs and in-betweens of long-term care as the experts at Amada Homecare present an informative “how-to” on navigating the daunting task of enacting a policy. As a bonus, Amada has graciously offered a complimentary Long-Term Care Review for Carnegie Day attendees, available at the location of your choice.

As part of our partnership with Gaithersburg Book Festival and Gaithersburg Parks and Recreation, The Carnegie brings together older adults and students for Intergenerational Book Clubs throughout the year. To further support these literary efforts, and to give back to our wonderful community, we invite you to join us as we paint Free Little Libraries that will be placed around Gaithersburg, providing 24/7 access to reading and bringing community members together to share their joy of the written word. This is a family-friendly event, so feel free to bring the grandkids!
