Senior group homes are privately-owned assisted living residences generally designed for four to 16 persons. Group homes provide personal care and other services to seniors who need assistance with activities of daily living, but do not need nursing care. Such homes come in different sizes, charge a range of prices and offer different levels of care. All group homes must be licensed by the State of Maryland and Montgomery County.
