KEEP YOUR SPACE FRESH THIS YEAR BY PLANNING AHEAD WITH TREND FORECASTING

The best way to keep your space fresh is by planning ahead. If you’re in the mood for a change of scenery this new year, try incorporating one of these home decor trends the next time you revamp a room.

Indoor Outdoor – An indication of our innate draw to nature, woven textures, wooden materials and ceramic pieces all bring a certain sense of life to a space. This is an easy and affordable trend to incorporate into your home. If you need suggestions, mango, teak and acacia are all popular wood types at the moment.

Mad for Metallics – Everywhere you look, metallics are on the rise. Walking straight off the runway and into the home, metallic touches elevate with ease. From grand statements such as metallic wallpaper to smaller details like a simple gold vase, metallics add just the right amount of dramatic flair.

Resource Material – Find a designer with a style you relate to and refer to their work for inspiration. Trendsetting designer Amber Lewis’ book Made for Living is a favorite of mine. Not only will having source material on hand aid in switching up your space, but it can also double as decor on your coffee table or shelf.
