International Women's Day was celebrated across the nation on 08th March, 2022 with the theme `Break the Bias`. I am happy that the National Headquarters celebrated the event on digital platform with our youth. Some of the speakers highlighted the multiple roles of women in different spheres of life. Indian tradition glorified women stating, “Where women are honoured, the deities stay pleased there.” The Bharat Scouts and Guides encourages equal participation from girls and boys which itself breaks the bias. Youth should develop right attitude towards girls and women, and this can be put in practice by giving them equal opportunities to express their opinion. Good health of all living beings is to be cherished and every individual should be healthy. If our youth are healthy, they will be able to do community service. World Health Day is going to be observed on 7th April. The Bharat Scouts and Guides has been organising Yoga daily and Zumba on every Sunday in virtual mode.Physical exercises should form part of our daily routine as suggested by our founder. The ongoing war between Ukraine-Russia calls to maintain International Peace & to put an end to human and environmental catastrophe. It is time to apply creative thinking to establish peace in the affected region. Our future generations should get the message of peace and they should say `no` to wars. Let us organise peace rallies to establish harmony in all respects. 08 ekpZ] 2022 dks lEiw.kZ ns”k esa ^iwokZxzg rksM+ks^ fo’k; ds lkFk vUrjkZ’Vªh; efgyk fnol euk;k x;kA eq>s çlUurk gS fd jk’Vªh; eq[;ky; us bl dk;ZØe dks gekjs ;qokvksa ds lkFk fMftVy IysVQkeZ ij euk;kA dqN oDrkvksa us thou ds fofHkUu {ks=ksa esas efgykvksa dh fofo/k Hkwfedkvksa ij çdk”k MkykA Hkkjrh; ijEijk us efgykvksa dk efgekeaMu djrs gq, dgk ^^tgk¡ efgykvksa dk lEeku fd;k tkrk gS] ogk¡ nsork çlUu jgrs gSa^^A Hkkjr LdkmV~l ,oa xkbM~l yM+fd;ksa ,oa yM+dksa dh leku Hkkxhnkjh dks çksRlkfgr djrk gS tks vius vki esa iwokZxzg dks rksM+rk gSA ;qokvksa dks yM+fd;ksa ,oa efgykvksa ds çfr lgh n`f’Vdks.k fodflr djuk pkfg,] ,oa mUgsa viuh jk; O;Dr djus ds leku volj çnku dj bls O;ogkj esa yk;k tk ldrk gSA

Today plastic is damaging the earth. The Bharat Scouts and Guides has been organising a number of activities under the `Tide Turners Plastic Challenge` to fight plastic pollution. I appreciate the state associations for designing various activities to protect and preserve our Earth for future generations. World Earth Day is going to be celebrated next month. Green future is a prosperous future. It is everyone`s responsibility to preserve and protect our health, our families and our livelihood. I look forward to seeinga plan of various activities from all the states on the theme `Invest in Our Planet`.
I am hopeful that the Programme and Training Committee Meeting which will take place at National Headquarters will come up with new events to meet the needs of our scouts and guides besides planning the quality training programmes for the youth as well as adults.
Stay healthy and stay safe.
