Step 1. Get a group of friends!

Start your group by first getting a group of friends who love to read, ages 12-16. Try to get a good number of people for your club.

Remember, get people not books!

Step 2. Join the site. This part is easy, just click sign up!

Step 3. Set up a schedule. Now that your signed up as a group, you should figure out times when you can get together to discuss the book (s). Also, try to decide how much time you want to read each section, chapter or even the whole book. Remember to discuss this with everyone participating, and even print out the schedule.

Step 4. Choose a book. Now that you have everything else settled, you need to have a book to read. You can choose from the book lists on the site or find your own. To get everyone their book to read, either buy or check out your books from the library. I recommend Borders bookstores if you buy them.

Tip: If you don't want to buy/check out your books, try a variation on the meetings and have each member read a paragraph or two of the section.

Step 5. Meeting and discussing. When it's time to meet up, get the discussion questions from our site (thebookclubgirls.webs.com) or from the author's web site (most of them will have discussion questions for the books). Then, once your done with the book, you can keep going with the club and choose a new book, or just keep reading on your own!

So, to recap.... 1. Get friends 2. Join the site 3. Make a schedule 4. Choose a book 5. Meet with your group 6. Happy Reading!!!
