• C ut out one blue felt wing and one lavender felt flower. Place them on the bird with a pink flower button on top, and sew together.
• T o make the bird’s legs, cut a 6cm length of pink ribbon, fold in half, and sew to the back of the bird.
• F or the beak: Cut a small triangle of yellow felt and stitch to the bird’s face.
• F or the bird’s eye, stick a green adhesive gemstone to the centre of the pink button and glue in place.

• S titch a bar brooch to the back of the bird to complete, then pin him on his jewellery-holder perch!
Vintage Teacup Candles For this project we used: • A selection of vintage teacups and saucers, Microwaveable soy wax, Candle dye block,
Spring scent, Pre waxed wire wick and clip, Thermometer, Bamboo skewers or lollipop sticks, Glass pouring jug, Old wooden spoon, Newspaper to protect your work surface.
How to make it

• Make sure your teacups are clean and dry. • Prepare the wicks by placing in the middle of the cup and use the skewer by resting on top of the cup, then twist the wick around the skewer to hold in place.
• P lace some wax chips into the glass jug, approximately two handfuls per candle. • M elt the wax on a high heat in the microwave until fully melted or 180ºF, then add the dye. Remove and use the thermometer to check the temperature; when cooled to 140ºF add the scent.
• P our the melted wax carefully into the cups, almost to the top,
keeping some aside to top up the candles later. Allow the wax to cool in the cups for approx. an hour then make a number of small holes around the wick to let the air out. Re-melt the wax in the glass jar then top up. Light and enjoy!

Ingredients 115g unsalted butter, softened 55g Sainsbury’s Fairtrade golden caster sugar
180g plain flour, plus extra for dusting 1-2 tablespoons whole milk Pack of Sainsbury’s glitter writing icing
Sainsbury’s sugar coated plain chocolate beans Sainsbury’s Eric & Erica sprinkles
Method Preheat the oven to 180°C, fan 160°C, gas 4. Add the butter and sugar together in a bowl, until pale and creamy. Sieve the flour into the bowl along with 1 tablespoon of the milk. Mix together with your hands to make a ball of soft dough - you might need to add the remaining milk. Sprinkle a little flour. Divide the dough into 4 pieces and roll out 1 piece to a thickness of about 5mm. Using lettershaped cutters, spell ‘I love mum’. Using a palette knife, transfer to the baking sheets. Bake for 12-14 minutes until the biscuits are just golden. Leave them to cool on the baking sheets before putting them on a cooling rack to cool completely. Let little ones decorate the biscuits using edible glitter writing icing and decorations.
