Like a flower on the water, beauty there upon the sea, Too soon she was taken from us, no one could foresee. A sunny day turned stormy, in a moment's place in time, Her sudden loss left us reeling, leaving disbelief benign. This terrible disease took another toll, that a family had to pay, Having their lives shattered, when Beatrice left that day. Tears fell from eyes of us all, still failing to comprehend, Why this evil thing makes the strong so fragile, in the end. A loss thrust upon loved ones, and close friends to bear, No reason that we could understand, it simply was unfair. Wishing we could have done more to ease her leaving. Yet her spirit was so strong, and we are left grieving. Grief and sorrow for Lindsay and her children, so deep, None could grasp their horrid torment, that made us weep. The innocence of yesterday was lost upon us that day, The sorrow of tomorrow watched, as Beatrice flew away. Though today we mourn in sadness, her loss to reconcile, But as time goes by, a thought of Bea, will simply make us smile.
