We know there’s a swathe of clever young creatives out there.

One might be you - your friend, child, grandchild, neighbour, or cousin.

So be sure to take up this great chance to have your and/or their work on display in the beautiful Matthew Flinders Gallery at Bribie Community Arts Centre for the Next Generation Art Prize 2023.

Entries close on August 6. Works must be delivered to the Centre on August 12 or 13. Prize giving at the official opening is evening of Saturday, August 26. There’s a prize pool of $4200 to win. Next Gen is open to all mediums, from pencil, paint, fabric, clay, and mixed media to recycled materials.

The Next Gen show will be open to the public from Wednesday, August 23 to Sunday, September 10. Cash prizes will be awarded to 2D and 3D entries across five age groups. These are 7-8, 9-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-18.

This year a special Recycled Materials Award sponsored by Bribie Island Environmental Protection Authority, will be given to an artwork made predominantly from recycled materials.

In addition, this year we have the State Parliamentarian's Award, the Bribie Island Community Arts Society's Bursary Encouragement Award, and a popular People's Choice prize.

Lots to get you motivated!
