or Kristina’s birthday James organised a beautiful picnic and dinner convincing Kristina that there wassswas an amazing house being built that he wanted to show her. Little did Kristina know the surprise that awaited. “As we drove closer I saw hundreds of candles line the road with a heart in the centre, we got out of the car and James read me a poem that he had written. As he came down on one knee, lit up in the water on a boat was a sign reading ‘MARRY ME’ and he presented me with a diamond ring.” A grand and elegant affair was on the cards for their wedding day. They fell in love with Oatlands House, with their picturesque interiors and golf course setting. “We wanted soft colours, lots of white, creams, taupes and a hint of dusty pink”. The couple enjoyed their special day complete with sunny skies and their closest friends and family including relatives who travelled from Canada and Lebanon just to celebrate. An entertaining reception followed, with live performances from bands and a dance group, which allowed their guests to get involved. “Its hard to choose one of our favourite moments from our wedding as the entire day was something we had been planning and looking forward to for over a year. Our bridal waltz was another stand out moment for us too as we had fireworks and dry ice on the dance floor as we danced to our song” said Kristina.

hristine and Chris were married in January on a day filled with sunshine. The ceremony was held at manrMarrickville Church, with the couple choosing Doltone House, Darling Island Wharf for the reception venue. Talented suppliers worked with Christine and Chris to bring their dreams to life, transforming the space into a wonderland. Easy access to the ceiling allowed them to suspend flowers and chandeliers from the roof. They also chose an elegant colour scheme consisting of black, white and silver, which was perfectly complimented by purple mood lighting. Celebrating with their closest friends and family they created unforgettable memories. “Our day was definitely a day to remember. We shared so many wonderful memories with all our closest family and friends celebrating with us,” Christine said.

he couple ventured to New Zealand to celebrate their two-year anniversary where Paul popped tthethnthe question. “After a relaxing day at a day spa, we headed back to our motel and got ready, upon walking downstairs was a beautiful Bentley. The driver took us to the top of a mountain, which overlooked Queenstown. From there, we were taken to a restaurant and to our own private room with roses, petals, candles and our own wood fireplace. The waitress handed us our menu and left the room, then my favourite song came on and as I opened the menu on gold paper was ‘Samantha will you marry me’. Paul was down on one knee with the most amazing ring I’ve ever seen. It was everything and more than I had dreamed of. With a few tears, laughing and excitement, of course I said yes.” Samantha and Paul were married at Ampelon Gardens, Gol Gol in a beautiful garden ceremony. Samantha looked breathtaking in a custom gown made by J’Aton Couture. A reception followed at Club Da Vinci where the newlyweds and guests celebrated. The space was beautifully decorated with items made by the Bride and her Father and finished with blooms by Neans Florist. They also enjoyed a four-tier cake adorned with metallic colours and ribbon by Amazing Cakes. Although it was hard to decide a favourite moment from the day, the couple agreed becoming husband and wife was a standout moment. “The day was just so amazing, but I’d probably say when I got to stand next to him and become his wife…It was so nice to see him as happy as I was” said Samantha.

azha and Elias initially met through work with Elias interviewing Nazha for the position. When it came came to the proposal, Elias planned the perfect way to surprise Nazha. “It was the ultimate scavenger hunt that incorporated breakfast by the beach, a massage and pampering session, a romantic picnic at one of our favourite spots and an intimate engagement dinner with family” said Nazha. They were married at St Joachim Catholic Church, Lidcombe. Nazha wore a beautiful gown by Australian designer, Steven Khalil while her bridesmaids were dressed in gowns made by Norma Bridal Couture. A reception followed at Oatlands House where the couple enjoyed celebrating with friends and family. The space was beautifully styled with glass vases filled with pink and white flowers and complimented by silver Tiffany chairs. Nazha said her favourite moment from their wedding day was during the ceremony. “As cliché as it sounds, it was actually the first time I saw him as I walked down the aisle. We both couldn’t stop smiling!” said Nazha.

he pages of this love story began overseas, where Richie and Monique met for the first time. Their stor story continued when they returned home to Australia and their love for one another flourished. It wasn’t long before they were engaged and the wedding plans commenced. A small intimate wedding, celebrating with their closest friends and family was exactly what they had in mind. Monique wore a detailed gown by Australian designer, Leah Da Gloria. The wedding ceremony was held at St Peters Chanel, Hunters Hill followed by a reception at the O Bar and Dining in Australia Square. The bridal party looked stunning with Becc wearing a gown by Mariana Hardwick and bridesmaids in lilac dresses by Anna Campbell. A reception followed at Doltone House, Darling Island Wharf. The space was transformed into a floral wonderland. Decorated by floral designer, Aleksandra with an array of pink and cream flowers. Chandeliers were suspended from the roof and a textured cake also added a special touch. “Becc and Zlat’s wedding was full of culture, family and love. As I look back I can still hear my ears ringing with the Macedonian music that my feet couldn’t help but dance to” said Samantha Macabulos.

inar wore an exquisite Connie Simonetti strapless gown with a beaded neckline, incorporating SwaSwarovski crystals and soft ruffling. The bridesmaids also looked elegant wearing dresses with low exposed backs, capped sleeves detailed with pearls and sequins. The couple married at St Paul’s Catholic Church followed by a reception at the Waterfront Restaurant, Port Melbourne. “There was never any question about where we would hold our reception. Waterfront has magnificent views over the ocean and the city of Port Phillip. This location also holds a very special meaning to us, as Steve and I would spend lots of time at station pier during the summer” Pinar said. The reception was breathtaking decorated with tall trumpet vases with an assortment of lemon leaves and white roses over a mirror base. They also enjoyed dancing with friends and family to an array of genres played by Hg4 Band. “My Husband dedicated the most beautiful speech that made me feel so special and brought tears to my eyes; I feel so blessed to have him and can’t wait to embrace our future together. I have absolutely no regrets, and wouldn't change one thing about our 'special' day. The weather was perfect, the venue was perfect, and most of all sharing this day with our friends and family was the most important thing to us” said Pinar.

ebecca and Jack met through mutual friends. After dating for a few years, Jack surprised Rebecca with with breakfast and a romantic stroll at Hamilton Wharf where he proposed. They decided on an elegant and classy wedding choosing Soul Resort at Surfers Paradise for their venue. The resort fit perfectly with the theme they had in mind. The ceremony was held on the beach view deck overlooking the ocean and surrounds. Rebecca wore a custom made gown by Darb Bridal Couture featuring a skirt embellished with feathers, while the bridesmaids wore black full length dresses with a peplum ruffle on the bodice. Rebecca and Jack chose a black and white colour scheme. The ceremony was decorated with white hanging flower arrangements, followed by a reception adorned with candles and vases of lavender. Playback Studios captured this special day and set up a photo booth, giving guests the opportunity to have some fun. The highlight of this special day for the bride and groom were the speeches and feeling loved and appreciated by all who attended. “We both have never felt so blessed and loved in our lives, our day was truly a dream, we wouldn’t change a thing.” Rebecca said.
