Why Should I Hire You? - Profile
Q. Tell Me about yourself ? A. I’m certified human resources professional with more than 10 years experience. I’ve had the opportunity to work in the manufacturing, finance and construction management industries. My human resource (hr) experience is broad and includes several areas of hr such as recruiting, staffing, compliance, compensation, training and development and team building. Q. If we were to call for a reference what would your direct report say about you? A. I believe they would say “she is a dedicated employee with knowledge and experience in her field”. I also think they would say” her love for people is evident in her work ethics and ability”. Q. What type salary are you seeking? A. It is difficult to respond to this question without understanding the full offer (benefits, office hours, support staff, bonus structure, etc.), but I believe I am worth no less than $55,000 per year as a base salary. Q. What are your strengths? A. I’m fair and take my profession seriously. I’ve learned to become an advocate for both the employer and the employee, which means I don’t take sides nor do I bend the rules depending on “who” is before me. I look at the facts and make sound human resource decisions that are in the best interest of all parties involved. I remain committed to my profession and therefore am involved with activities that keep me abreast of HR laws and trends. And I do all of this with an outstanding personality. Q. What are your weaknesses? A. I haven’t quite mastered that “serenity concept” of accepting the things I cannot change. I want to see everyone reach his or her maximum potential and sometimes I am brutally honest and very straightforward. I make every attempt to exude professionalism and tack, so that my style of communication leaves very little room for misunderstandings. I have gained more respect from my peers and management because they can depend on me to tell the truth even when it hurts or it goes against the popular choice. Q. Tell me about a time when your work ethics were challenged and how you handled it. A. I worked for a company where I had two direct reports. (One was by the book (HR Director) and the other was not (Vice President). Many times I was put in a position to choose one or the other’s way of doing things or do something without letting the other know it was done. Eventually, I called a meeting with both and shared my frustration and was prepared with a list of situations where I was asked to compromise what I believed and what was right. Turns out, one of my direct reports simply didn’t understand the function of hr and told me to let him know when he was asking me to do things that were not by the book. It was not his intention to put me in those situations, he just didn’t know any better. The meeting ended up being a positive eye opener and created an opportunity for me to train other hiring managers on some hr practices that were being done throughout the organization, which had the potential to place the company at risk. Q. What is the one thing that you have learned in your profession that will not change? A. To always be fair. People will not always like what you have to say, but they will respect you. A portion of my paycheck is for people not to like what I have to say. I don’t make the rules, but I am paid to enforce them. Q. Why Should An Employer Hire You? A. Any employer who hires me will be gaining a dedicated and experienced human resources professional who will add value to the organization by becoming an HR partner and maximizing the talents and skills of the workforce to ensure productivity and profit by hiring the right people and ensuring the goals of the organization are understood and exhibited in every employee.

Why Should I Hire You? - Profile
Q. Tell Me about yourself ? A. I’m a medical service professional who has been in the industry just over 10 years. I began my career as Registered Nurse and moved into pharmaceutical sales about 4 years ago. During this time, I have been recognized as national sales delegated and nominated for a Cardiac Care Associate the American College of Cardiology.
Q. If we were to call for a reference what would your direct report say about you? A. My direct report and I have a great working relationship and rely on each other greatly to keep each other “fresh”. We often bounce ideas and trends as well as discuss changing in our industry. I’m sure she would state that I am committed and consummate professional. Q. What type salary are you seeking? A. No less than $80k per year (base), but I like to look at the entire benefit package before making a final determination. Q. What are your strengths? A. My industry knowledge spans from cardiac, to clinical, and on to pharmaceutical, so I believe that makes me a strong player. Coupled with my experience in those areas, I also have the educational knowledge to effective apply knowledge in the areas. I also believe my ability to create and maintain customer relationships is also an added plus. Q. What are your weaknesses? A. While I admit, I would like to be more technically savvy, I would not consider this a weakness. I am always reading periodicals and learning about new trends and technologies. I would like to learn more about operational and technical information so that I can become a more productive part of the team. Q. Tell me about a time when your work ethics were challenged and how you handled it. A. Other than minor differences of opinion over such as what colors to use on a presentation, where to hold a meeting, or other minor departmental challenges, I really get along well with my teammates who have not asked me to do anything unethical. If I every have a major problem, I would stand firm on what I believe to be the most ethical decision for the organization and my career. I would do that my examining the root of the issue, try to communicate the pros/cons to the other person and try to create a solution that would be advantageous for all who are involved. Q. What is the one thing that you have learned in your profession that will not change? A. Never to expect a dull day. Every day is plagued with new challenges. The medical industry as a whole has tons of challenges and it is hard to know what to expect from day to day. Another area that will not change is that I have the ability t make life-altering changes that effect the lives of people and that is a responsibility that I do not take lightly. As long as I am in the medical field, I will strive to remain committed and that will not change. Q. Why Should An Employer Hire You? A. Hiring a person such as myself will provide any employer with a seasoned professional in the medical services industry and I will be an added asset to the team. I work well with people, I understand my responsibilities, I have education and working knowledge so I am well versed in my field, and along with that, I love what I do, and would bring a winning attitude to work with me daily.
