4th Annual Bikers And Needy Children Foundation (BANC) 50/50 Run
4th Annual Bikers & Needy Children Foundation 50/50 Mileage Run
By: Mickey carter
Once again, the Annual 50/50 Mileage Run blew our minds! December 19th was the final day for the final mileage readings and the winner, Pat Magee out of Cameron, NC riding a Harley Road Glide had a whopping 23,631 collective registered miles!!! Last year’s winner Keagan Potter out of Raleigh, NC and riding a Honda CRF1000L2 was in 2nd place with 21,859 miles! Troy Rolan out of Cameron, VA and riding a Yamaha Venture came in 3rd place with 11,347 miles. These “road hogs” packed in the miles and we had a lady rider who had over 8,300 miles registered! So, what’s the big deal? It’s a competition for miles and the winner this year took home $500! Each year, the Bikers And Needy Children Foundation (BANC) hosts a 50/50 Mileage Run. The unusual part is there are no specified places to stop. Participants, (anyone who rides a motorcycle from anywhere), can ride wherever they want, when they want, on what they want, with whom they want. The foundation registers the beginning mileage and the ending mileage. Winner takes all! All participants receive an annual event patch. Some participants know they are not going to win but, they like the cause and they want that annual event patch. 2021 will go a full 12 months. Beginning Registration will start Tuesday June 01, 2021 and go through June 30, 2021. Every Saturday in June the BANC will be set up at a specified location to register participants. Participants can also call and make an appointment to meet with Mickey (Bear) to register their beginning mileage in June if they can’t make the set up dates. The ending mileage registration will be the 1st Saturday in June of 2022. You can also make a prior appointment to have your ending mileage read if you have to work but you or your representative must be present to collect the winnings. (See our fb page for announcements and rules.) Thank you to all who participated! We hope to see everyone in June!
