Fundraiser To Benefit Officer Sean Houle

On February 21st, officer Sean Houle was shot

while on duty for Kernersville Police Department. He has been in the hospital for several weeks. The community has reached out to help the family.

On March 14th, David and Missi Thompson of Double D Burnout Saloon used their Sunday Funday to have a benefit for Officer Houle, with lots of help from Nikki and Kandi, and a lot of people in the background. We raised $3200 for officer Houle.

In this day and time, when our country is in turmoil, It was amazing to see the out pouring of open hearts willing to help this family. The support from community and the biker family packed Double D. The yard was full with people coming out to support this family.

Houle’s family released a statement Tuesday morning: “The family would like to personally thank Kernersville PD, NC Highway Patrol, Stokes County Sheriff’s Department and the brothers in blue here and abroad for all of the infinite support shown to the entire family. To the first responders who so swiftly cared for Sean and the wake forest Baptist trauma team, we couldn’t be more grateful. Also, thanks to the local churches, friends and the entire community. Prayers have been answered and God is certainly in this and we have faith knowing He is the ultimate healer.”

It takes a lot of work and a small army to put on these events, but you can always count on the Biker Family to help. WXII 12 news reported that Houle was released from the hospital on March 16th. It was also reported that there was a huge support parade down Highway 66. Kernersville officers said Houle is walking, waving and progressing well. He is at home resting. Ours hearts go out to the Houle family, in this time of great stress and need.
