La historia del agua en Querétaro empieza aquí. La Cañada es una de las poblaciones más antiguas de Querétaro reconocida por la fertilidad de sus tierras, sus famosas huertas y árboles frutales que le daban vida a toda la ciudad. La riqueza cultural tangible e intangible de la Cañada es muy evidente en cada rincón de esta comunidad.
Es parte del inicio del río Querétaro a la ciudad y es una zona con mucho valor histórico y natural. Tiene conexiones hacia distintos puntos importantes ya existentes como el balneario el Piojito, el centro de la Cañada, las canchas de fútbol, el cerro del Bautisterio, y por la estrecha relación que hay entre la comunidad, la naturaleza y el río.
The History of water in Queretaro begins here. La Cañada is one of the oldest towns in Queretaro, recognized for the fertility of its lands, its famous orchards and the fruit trees that gave life to the entire city. The tangible and the intangible cultural richness of the Cañada is very evident in every corner of this community.
It is part of the beginning of Queretaro river to the city and is an area with a lot of historical and natural value. It has connections to the different important points that already exist, such as “Baths El Piojito”, the center of La Cañada, the soccer fields, Cerro del Bautisterio, and because of the close relationship between the community, nature and the river.
