LuxJet offers effortless aircraft ownership, unmatched experience and ultimate reliability.

IMAGINE LOADING the family into your own private jet and heading off to the ski fields. Or skipping the airport queues as you fly interstate for a business meeting.

All this and more is on offer with LuxJet, a new endeavour offering Fractional Jet Ownership – think timeshare, however, you own a share of the asset.

Founder Maurie Pickering has a long history of private plane ownership and is bringing his wealth of experience to the project.

“LuxJet is the optimal private aviation solution for personal or business jet travellers who fly 19-50 hours per year,” he said.

"We are looking for like-minded people to take a share in their own private jet and enjoy all the benefits associated with ownership.”

Operating on a similar system to boat syndication, each owner is allocated 40 days during peak periods and weekends per calendar year, with unlimited last-minute bookings if the plane is available.

When you fly, there are costs associated with a specific flight including fuel, oil, engine program, APU program and navigation and landing fees, however, all the associated charges such as pilot wages, conducting your flight and preparing the aircraft are covered by your monthly fee.

This provides you with a turn-key management to ensure your flying experience is stress-free.

Capable of long-haul journeys, as well as shorter flights, the mid-size commercial jet has been fitted out in luxury, comfortably seating 10 people, with ample luggage space for larger items such as ski equipment, golf clubs or surfboards.

“We also ensure that each owner’s individual needs are taken care of on every flight,” says Maurie.

“Everything from having their preferred drinks and snacks on board to handling customs and airport clearances is included.

“The passengers can just relax and enjoy the flight, then take their personal belongings when they leave.”

Safety is also paramount, with LuxJet ensuring that all pilots are highly qualified at a commercial level and that the plane is fully operational and well-maintained.

LuxJet’s first aircraft will be based on the Gold Coast, with similar opportunities opening up in other Australian locations including Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane as the program expands.
