Visi t In Baton Rouge, we’re proud to say we have a festival for everything and everyone! We do seasons differently in Louisiana and one of the most loved is “festival season.” For this city, though, the festival season has extended year-round with plenty to do in the spring, summer, fall and even winter. Many of Baton Rouge’s festivals take place in beautiful downtown greenspaces, the perfect walkable location to all the fun. But you might be surprised when venturing out to different areas of town such as the revitalized Mid-city area and the historic north Baton Rouge neighborhoods. Getting out of the campus bubble and exploring new areas allows you to experience the story of the entire Baton Rouge area.

Also stepping into the spotlight will be Mardi Gras Indians and for the first time publicly the historic black cowboys of Baton Rouge on their horses. Who are you really giving your money to? As rich and culture-filled as Baton Rouge is, you should expect to find nothing less than a plethora of home-grown, self-made artists and entrepreneurs at a local festival here in the Red Stick. Why not spend your money with smaller, more genuine, personal and passion-filled businesses and artists who benefit from your contribution. Supporting our neighbors is a great way to not only keep our inner economy flowing, but also to encourage other businesses to continue with their works and dreams.
