AIESEC IFE FEBRUARY 2017 NEWSLETTER Volume 1, No. 1
“Efficiency is doing things right; Effectiveness is doing the right things” – Peter Drucker
Introduction As part of my manifesto whilst applying for the role of LCP of AIESEC Ife earlier in the year, I promised to deliver a monthly newsletter to the entire pool of customers of the LC (members, partners, sponsors & most importantly our ALUMNI) to keep everyone abreast of the activities of the LC. The first month of our term hasn’t been so rosy, but we’ve managed to pull through, learning a few vital lessons along the way. The highlight of the month for me was the reception of our first intern,
Andree Marcelle Koukougnon from AIESEC Abidjan SUD in Ivory Coast. Exchange is the core of our work and everything we aim to do is to drive a high number of quality exchanges that will deliver exceptional experiences to all our customers ultimately. Our first Newsletter might not be so amazing to peruse, but it is just the beginning. We are coming through better. March holds a lot of promise, but also a lot of exams too; meaning that our March newsletter report may just be scanty and sketchy, but we would ensure to keep up our game and deliver an experience to everyone we come across during March. Thank you very much for keeping the faith in us as a Local Committee. With God at our back, you all by our sides, we promise to ALWAYS make you all proud. I remain David Adesina, LCP AIESEC Ife 17.18 #VERTOteam david.adesina@aiesec.net

Partnership Development ➜The Functional Area started working on February 3 2017 and plans were made to visit the State Secretariat on a partnership between the AIESEC Ife and the government of Osun through the Ministry of Tourism. This partnership will further improve the experience of interns while they are in AIESEC Ife. ➜On February 7th 2017, a visit was made to the state secretariat where we met with the Director of the Ministry of Tourism. He gave us insights on the activities of the ministry and how to go about the partnership. He was very enthusiastic about the proposed partnership. He also gave us directions on who to address our proposal to. ➜PD also created a proposal for IGV to Water Initiatives (an Ibadan based NGO involved in sensitisation about Health care issues with a particular interest in WATER issues) for “Project We Care”. Water Initiatives gave a positive reply and they are ready to partner with AIESEC Ife on the project as Enablers. ➜Lastly, the FA has stated its member development activities with a training on proposal writing.
