Chairman’s Message In April 2009 SecuriGroup appointed former Strathclyde Police Assistant Chief Constable John LS Malcolm QPM as its Chairman. Mr Malcolm, who served for 36 years, retired in 2008. He was a member of the Force Executive from 2005-2008 when he had strategic responsibility for all crime in the Force area. He was the Senior Investigating Officer in the terrorist bombing of Glasgow Airport and in the 2009 New Year’s Honours List was awarded the Queen’s Police Medal for distinguished service. The Security Industry Authority’s Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) standard encompasses all aspects of a security provider’s operation including its management and requires an approved organisation to demonstrate to an independent assessor, on an annual basis, that it has met defined standards. SecuriGroup holds SIA Approved Contractor status for the provision of Door Supervision, Security Guarding, CCTV, Close Protection and Key Holding and is ranked within the top 5% of Approved Contractors based upon the SIA’s own scoring system. SecuriGroup is also an accredited Safe Contractor and registered member of the Safe Contractor scheme. SecuriGroup’s training division boasts a wide range of training centre approvals which include City & Guilds, SQA, Skills for Security and Maybo.
