Smart Things Hub In this software, you have to add a new device. This addition will link the Logitech Harmony Hub to the Smart Things Hub. Once you have added the device details, you will get an option to choose the activities you want to import. Whichever activities you select will be imported with the same name except [Harmony Activity] will be added in the end. Be sure to remove this as it will then confuse Alexa. With this, you have your Harmony and Smart Things hubs connected. You are just left with the Amazon Alexa setup to have voice control over your TV.
Echo Setup With both the Harmony and SmartThings hubs connected, you just need to link them with the Echo system. Once you have done this, you can use your normal Amazon Echo Tap or Amazon Echo Dot devices to operate your television. You can link your Alexa app to the system by going to the settings tab. In the settings tab, you will select the “connected home� option. Under this tab, you will find the option to connect to your SmartThings hub.
Once you enter the details of SmartThings, you will be asked about the hub you want to connect to and the devices you want Alexa to control. Select the devices you have added (your Harmony Hub) and that’s it! You can now control your television with your voice using Alexa.
