Simply Vegas was conceived by necessity. Owners John Gafford and Gavin Ernstone had both been part of a toxic environment, in poorly run real estate franchises that were, quite frankly, complicated.
June 2010, as it transpired, was the perfect time to open a real estate brokerage that was anti-franchise. The world was in financial chaos and realtors were scrambling, trying to find a way to maximize their income as deals where tight. Why would anyone give up a percentage of their income to a franchise that offered very little in return, other than suggestions to knock on doors, call FSBO's and expired listings?
