Recreational Pursuits 3 Great Lakes Fishing and boating enthusiasts will enjoy the lakes and all they have to offer. There is a public beach and a handicap accessible fishing pier on Little Muskego Lake along with a boat launch at Idle Isle Park off of Hardtke Drive. There are also boat launches located for Big Muskego Lake off Durham Drive and Boxhorn Drive and for Denoon Lake off Crowbar Drive in Denoon Park. Recreation Trails These trails serve to link the City of Muskego together with a system of safe and functional off-street recreation trails to facilitate such activities as running, biking, cross-country skiing, in-line skating, hiking, some equestrian activities, and nature study. A lot of the unpaved trails were made possible by WeEnergies. Snowmobiling Snowmobiling is a popular attraction in the area. Experience mile after mile the groomed trails. Some of the amenities located in our parks include: shelters, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball/softball fields, playgrounds, soccer fields, boardwalk, and meeting room areas. Our parks, which are situated in picturesque settings, are: Bluhm Farm Park, Denoon Park, Horn Field, Idle Isle Park, Jensen Park, Kurth Park, Veterans Memorial Park, Lions Park, Manchester Hill Park, Schmidt Park, Park Arthur Muskego County Park Located off Janesville Road in the northwestern part of the City, this 209 acre Waukesha County Park provides picnicking, camping, play fields, swimming beach, hiking/cross-country ski trails, horseback riding trail, and tennis courts. Recreation Programs The City Parks and Recreation Department offers recreation programs to residents and non-residents from pre-school to older adults. The 50+ page program guide is mailed three time per year and includes programs, services, discount tickets, and community happenings.
