Local Magazines Published by Glos Directories - connecting local businesses with local people
Dear Reader, It’s that time of year again when the schools will be out soon for the summer! With that comes the question of what we can do to keep the children entertained. Fortunately, we have a great 'What’s On' section for you towards the back of the magazine for some ideas of days out and local events you can go to. Make sure to also keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages as we will be adding more events as they come in. July is a great month for music lovers with the Cheltenham Music Festival running from the 5th to the 16th July. The Festival, now in its 73rd year, presents a vast range of classical music – symphonic, choral, chamber, contemporary and early music – joined by jazz, folk, electronica, spoken word, film and various family events. A great big 'well done' to everyone who took part in the Race for Life last month in Gloucester or the Relay for Life in the Forest of Dean, you did everyone proud! I hope you have a great month ahead! For me, July equals watching Wimbledon and sunny days in the garden, so I’m looking forward to it! Best wishes, Vicky Muller

A Perfect 10 for Wagging Tails! 10 Years of happy dog holidays and £10,000 raised for Hearing Dogs Charity Local businesswoman Alexis Bennett, owner of Gloucestershire dog boarding company Wagging Tails, was recently welcomed to the headquarters of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People at The Grange in Buckinghamshire to celebrate the Wagging Tails' 10th Birthday. Since Wagging Tails began supporting Hearing Dogs for Deaf People in January 2014 they have helped to raise over £10,000 for the charity. The celebrations saw Alexis present a cheque for £10,000 to Sir Stuart Hampson, President of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, before the cutting of the birthday cake and a toast celebrating 10 years of Wagging Tails and 35 years of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. Speaking on behalf of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People Nicholas Orpin, Community Fundraising Manager for the South East, stated: "Wagging Tails is such a great company and their customers get a unique and fantastic service. But they don't just stop there, they also help to change lives of deaf people by supporting Hearing Dogs, and that
tells you what great people they are too." Alexis launched the Gloucestershire branch of Wagging Tails in January 2016 and has successfully established her business as the premier dog holiday service provider in the locality. Alongside her work developing her business, Alexis is a keen and active supporter of Wagging Tails' Alexis Bennett of Wagging Tails presenting Sir Stuart Hampson, President of Hearing Dogs charity partner and is in the for Deaf People, with a cheque for £10,000. process of organising "Take the Plunge 2", a charity deaf and those with partial hearing day whereby volunteer "casualties" loss. Using tandems, the visually impaired person rides behind a sighted pilot to explore new places, keep fit, make friends and, most importantly, to have fun! that Tandemonium will become their freedom on wheels! However, the group can't exist without the help of volunteers to ride on the front of the tandem. Are You Financially Resilient? Five Ways To Protect Yourself From Unexpected Job Loss
The reality of sudden job loss hit thousands of people in every region of the UK during the global financial crash, and although the economy is now recovering, the fact that we could suddenly lose our only source of income hasn’t gone away. If that time of financial crisis has taught us anything, it’s that we should prepare in advance for unexpected loss of income - a report from Legal and General¹ illustrates just how precarious our financial position really is: “the average household has a Deadline to the Breadline of just 29 days. For working age families it’s just 14 days.” So here are five steps that will help you become more financially resilient should the worst happen, and you find yourself without an income. 1. Understand your current financial position Only by understanding the reality of your present financial situation can sustainable changes be made. Gather together all your financial documents including bank and credit card statements, loan and credit agreements, and details of your monthly expenditure, to get a clearer picture of how job loss would affect you.
2. Prioritise and pay down debt If you consider the consequences of failing to make each debt repayment, it’ll help you decide which should take priority over others. Even though priority debts aren’t always the largest or most expensive, they should be paid first if the repercussions of nonpayment are serious. After that you could tackle the debts with the highest interest rates, although some people prefer to pay off the smallest loans first to provide motivation. 3. Save for an emergency fund Do you pay off debt first, or save for an emergency fund? There are two schools of thought: • The disparity between interest rates for savers and borrowers means you’ll pay more overall if you don’t repay debt first. • If you lose your job, the credit card provider may decide to reduce your credit limit, and you’ll have less money available for emergencies. Another factor to consider is the increase in identity theft that also leaves you open to potential problems, and again could reduce your access to cash when you need it most. 4. Additional income streams With so many people earning an additional income online, it may be worthwhile starting a small part-time business which would help financially if you lose your main source of income.
Having a second income takes away some of the immediate pressure of job loss, even if it only covers your bills for a couple of months. If it’s flexible enough you’ll be able to work from home, and obtain the peace of mind that self-reliance brings. 5. Network while you’re still employed It does no harm to network online or in-person while you’re still employed. Creating and nurturing professional and business relationships can mean you’re first in the queue for a new role or business opportunity should you lose your job. Use your network of friends and peers on LinkedIn and Facebook, and keep updating your profile with information about new tasks you’re taking on in your current role. Blending this with in-person networking where you get to know people better means you can find out about new projects or another company’s plans for the future. Putting a strategy in place for unexpected job loss allows you more time and freedom to choose your next move, whether that’s with another firm or entering self-employment. ¹ www.legalandgeneral.com/ advisercentre/campaigns/ deadline-to-breadline-bp/report. html www.bbc.co.uk/news/business22283940 www.moneycrashers.com/ prepare-finances-surviveunemployment-job-loss/

Safe Journey by Pippa Greenwood
Now that the weather is really summery, everyone is rushing to their local garden centres, garden shows and nurseries to stock up on new plants for the garden. However, don’t forget to ensure that the plants you buy have a good chance of surviving, not only once they get home, but also during the journey there; it is worth taking a few very sensible precautions. Don’t take something home the day you buy it if it is too large to fit in your car. However slowly you drive, if the plant is sticking out of a sunroof or window the foliage is going to be scorched and damaged, and it is possible that a stem may be broken. Almost all garden centres now offer delivery and this is usually free of charge within a reasonable radius, so take advantage of this service. If the plant does fit in your car then remember to wrap the root ball in a black bin liner or a box, to prevent the back of your car becoming full of compost, grit etc. Always use the garden centre as the last port of call before travelling home, as in hot weather temperatures increase
quickly in a closed car, even with the windows or sunroof open. Under these conditions the plants can soon be boiled alive, literally! Plants in the boot should be safer for a slightly longer period of time, but you should travel straight home once you have made your purchases. If you are determined to take something home that protrudes slightly from your car, then it is essential that you wrap up anything which is sticking out really well to prevent leaf scorch and damage. Make sure that it is tied down extremely well so that it can’t blow off on the way home. Remember that anything protruding from your car could potentially cause a driving hazard to other road users, so be sensible. Even on a short journey home, plants which are exposed to exaggerated heat inside a car or the scorching effect of sunlight travelling through the car glazing can be seriously damaged, so cover them up with something to decrease the risk. It is worth taking a few old newspapers with you when you go to the garden centre, as these make perfect temporary
tents. Remember that most plants prefer fairly constant conditions, so try not to put them through too many changes in a short space of time. Ideally, take them from one area in the garden centre to somewhere similar in your garden, and keep any travelling during hot weather to a minimum. If they look at all damaged from their journey then give them a week or two to recuperate in dappled shade in a protected position in your garden. And don’t forget that when you plant anything new in your garden, if the weather is at all dry it is worth waiting until the evening or at least late afternoon before planting. Make sure that everything is kept well watered, as this will increase the chances of the plants establishing without too much distress. Visit Pippa’s website www. pippagreenwood.com for a really useful selection of favourite gardening items including growing frames, SpeedHoes, SpeedWeeders, raised bed kits, Nemaslug and other nematode controls and copper tape, pull-out EasyTunnels, signed books and lots more besides.

Overbury Bowling Club continues Winning Form Overbury Bowling Club (www.overburybowling.net) has started the 2017 season with many excellent wins.
and Gillian Pearce, Barbara Baldwin, Sally Lewis and Daphne Hayward had scored 25-5. An excellent win for the ladies.
In the Mens WBA County Fours (Rinks) fielding a team of Stuart Yapp, Mike Mace, Dan Mason and Neil Williams, Overbury Bowling Club progressed to the second round with a 27-20 home victory over Hewell. Neil Williams, the Overbury Captain, said "After a slow start, Overbury scored a 7 and then immediately followed it up with a 5 to have a comfortable lead at the half way point. Hewell had clearly not read the script though, and staged a comeback by gaining a 4 and a 3 on consecutive ends to ensure the game was close until the last few ends when Overbury closed out the victory."
After a rain-interrupted match, Sue Robinson, Sally Lewis, Gillian Pearce and Daphne Hayward played Bredon in the Ladies WBA County Rinks scoring a win of 19-6 when Bredon conceded after 19 ends.
Then in the Ladies WBA County Double Rink, Evesham conceded after 12 ends when Pam Jones, Yvonne Cole, Jean King, and Jan Newton had scored 21-2,
Not to be outdone, Mike Mace, Dan Mason and Neil Williams played Broadway in the Mens WBA County Triples when Broadway conceded after 14 ends with the score at 20-3. If only every team would concede, it would be so much easier to win the championships! In the Ladies WBA County Triples, Sandy Mace, Daphne Hayward and Gillian Pearce braved damp and blustery conditions to score a good win at 19-11 against Manor Park. The match was much closer than the scoreline suggests and was enjoyed by all the players and supporters.
Overbury recently scored their 5th successive win in the Mens SWT Triples League, this time against Evesham A with a scoreline of 46 - 31. Stuart Yapp, Overbury's captain, said "This was an excellent win against Evesham A on their green as, for the previous 2 years, we had to accept second place. In the league table, we are now 9 points ahead of this time last year and must keep focused for the rest of the season to maintain our record and go for the league win." On total points won, this puts Overbury at 1st equal in the league table but 4 shots adrift on the tie-breaker. Against Tewkesbury, the seniors enjoyed glorious weather with the green playing very fast for so early in the season. Despite being behind at the halfway stage, Overbury pulled together and achieved a 93-80 win. Alas, against Churchdown and Cheltenham Spa, Overbury were not so lucky and finished in second place. However, the seniors returned to winning ways with a 93-64 score against Littleton. These matches are always played in good humour and camaraderie, regardless of the result, and enjoyed by all. After having trouble to field a full team at the beginning of the season and suffering associated penalties, Overbury has found their winning form in the Mens Concorde league with recent wins. Coming in at 91-89 against Hewell and 83-78 against Littleton, Mike Ames the team captain said “Another good performance and revenge for our defeat earlier in the season. We were 21 shots up after 15 ends but Littleton clawed them back and was in the lead. Then the desire not to lose kicked in and in the last 2 ends we won 83-78. In the ladies Concorde league, the team recorded a notable win against Littleton and are now trying to repeat that success against other clubs. For anyone who has wondered if bowls might be the challenge they seek, come along and try it out with the help of one of our coaches to get you started on the right path. New members, both young and senior, are always welcome to join in this very social and sporting activity. The club has both equipment and qualified coaches to get the inexperienced up and running quickly and to iron out those annoying problems which can affect one's game. FOR THE DIP
•
Remove the roasting tin from the oven and liberally brush the glaze all over the chicken wings.
TIP
You can cook the wings on a hot barbecue for an al fresco supper. It’s best to cook them in the oven for the first 15 minutes then glaze and just place them on the barbecue for the last 15-20 minutes of cooking time.
Return the roasting tin to the oven and roast the wings for a further 1520 minutes until the wings are golden brown and slightly charred in places. 5
Mix together the dip ingredients in a small bowl. Serve with the chicken wings.

Hobbies Building A Future For Family Memories By Kate McLelland
I recently inherited several boxes of family photographs, with images dating from Victorian times - when photography was in its infancy - right up to the first decade of the new millennium. After taking stock of all this precious material - which documented over 100 years of my family’s history - it occurred to me that I had a responsibility to preserve it for future generations. Preserving family PhotograPhs When it comes to the future of a family photo collection you are faced with a straightforward choice: either divide the photographs up between a select group of relatives, or digitise the entire archive so everyone can hold a copy. There is great satisfaction in restoring and digitising photographic images: transforming faded, mouldspotted and torn pictures into images that look as fresh as the day they emerged from the darkroom. If you decide to digitise, you will need a computer with enough disk space to store the photographic files you are creating. You’ll also need some kind of photo editing software, preferably free to download.
Top of What Digital Camera’s list is the oddly-named Gimp, which works like a basic version of the industry-standard software Photoshop. Gimp allows you to do everything from cropping and resizing to altering exposure and colour balance. It also has the same invaluable ‘clone tool’ as Photoshop, which allows you to heal spoiled parts of a photo by copying an undamaged area over the damaged spot. Converting your slides During the 1960s and 70s a craze for slide photography meant that many amateur snappers temporarily stopped taking conventional photos. To convert 35mm slides to digital files, you will need an additional piece of equipment. Slide scanners start at around £16 (for a device that can be used together with a smartphone), while standalone scanners can cost up to £125. vhs videos to dvd VHS tapes, Hi8 and Video8 are are susceptible to the same degradation as photographic slides, prints and negatives. As the magnetic particles in the tapes gradually lose their charge, the playback quality deteriorates. Depending on how carefully you store your tapes, you will notice deterioration
after 10-25 years. The easiest way to convert videos to DVDs is to connect a video-cassette recorder (VCR) to a PC via an analogue-todigital video capture device. You’ll need to record the VHS video to your PC’s hard drive and then write the recorded video to DVD, using the DVD writer installed on your PC. Be warned, however, that VCRs are slowly becoming obsolete, so if you have a large number of VHS tapes to convert and don’t already have a VCR, this might be a good time to buy one. A medium-priced video capture device costs between £25 and £50, while a VCR costs from £30 upwards (refurbished models may cost less). If you only have a few tapes to convert, you may prefer to use a professional service. It’s worth checking online for the best deal: Asda Photo charges £27 per tape, while web-based conversion specialists such as digitalconverters.co.uk typically charge under ten pounds for a single VHS or Hi8 tape. Thanks to my inherited collection, digitising family images has now become an absorbing hobby. It’s rewarding to know that, once converted to a digital format, this important visual record will go on giving pleasure far into the future.

Cake and Bake Peach Crostata
A crostata is an Italian lattice-topped pie which can be sweet or savoury. This one has a fruity fresh peach filling. Serve with crème fraîche or ice cream.
Ingredients:
1. To make the pastry, sift the flour into a large bowl.
PASTRY • 350g plain flour • 175g butter, chilled and diced • 2 tbsp caster sugar
2.
• 1 large egg, beaten with 2tbsp cold water FILLING • 6 peaches, halved, stones removed and thickly sliced
3. 4.
• 2 tbsp caster sugar • 2 tsp cornflour • Milk to glaze
5.
• Icing sugar, to dust
Serves 6 Ready in 1 hour 15 minutes, plus chilling TIP
If you don’t have a pastry lattice roller, cut the rolled out pastry into thin strips and drape over the filling.
6.
7.
Add the butter and rub in with your fingertips until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Stir in the sugar, add the egg and water, then stir with a knife until the mixture begins to stick together. Gather the dough with one hand, turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for a few seconds until smooth. Flatten into a round, wrap in cling film and chill for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200C, fan 180C, gas 6. Place a baking sheet in the oven to heat up. Roll out about two-thirds of the pastry on a lightly floured surface to the thickness of a one pound coin and use to line a 23cm round pie dish. Toss the peaches in a bowl with the sugar and cornflour then pile into the pastry case. Roll out the rest of the pastry to a 20cm circle and use a lattice pastry roller to cut slashes in the pastry (see tip). Brush around the edge of the pastry case with a little water then drape the pastry circle over the filling, pulling it gently to create the lattice effect. Press the pastry edges together to seal and trim off any excess pastry. Glaze the pastry with milk, then place on the hot baking sheet in the oven and bake for 35-45 minutes until the pastry is crisp and golden. Serve warm or cold, dusted with icing sugar.

If you need a laptop but don’t want to spend a fortune, you’ll soon be spoilt for choice: Microsoft is joining Google’s Chromebooks in the low-cost laptop game. Devices such as Acer’s Chromebook 15 (around £240) offer big-laptop performance for a fraction of the price, but Google’s Chrome OS may put potential customers off. That’s what Microsoft hopes, anyway: there’s a whole bunch of Chromebook-competing Windows 10 laptops going on sale this summer, offering the value for money of a Chromebook with the familiar face of Windows 10. If like most people you really need a computer to get online and access cloud-based services such as Spotify or Netflix, you’ll find that such laptops are excellent value for money. The only thing that really lets them down is their fairly limited storage, which is more like a phone or tablet than a PC - but then if you’re using the cloud, that doesn’t matter either.

Have you ever been puzzled too?
Some time ago a photograph of this small round thatched building at Seven Springs appeared in the Gloucestershire Echo. There followed lively speculations about its function; none of which were correct. This made me think about an aspect of country life which is rapidly fading from memory - the country carrier. In this article, I will set the general scene and my next will focus on our local carriers. Few readers are likely to remember the country carrier, that essential link between the village and market town in an age when the railway brought goods to the towns and their shops but not to the surrounding villages lacking their own railway station. The typical carrier was a one man concern owning a horse and cart of various shapes and sizes who travelled to the nearest market town once, twice or three times a week, carrying
the village shoppers and running errands for those who could not go themselves. So how does this link to the building standing at Seven Springs, known locally as the parcel house? It was there for the country carrier from North Cerney to Cheltenham to leave the parcels and newspapers to be collected by the good folk of Seven Springs for whom he ran errands. Amazingly, I took a photograph of it before the road junction was rebuilt several years ago and, also amazingly, it was rebuilt and not demolished with the junction's remodelling, even though it is not an exact replica. The age of the country carrier lasted from the 1820s to the early 1950s. The main centre in our county was originally Gloucester, but when Cheltenham grew as a spa town with an increased number of shops, it too was a busy centre and became the destination of those carriers who served Bishop's Cleeve, Winchcombe and surrounding villages. At the height of the carriers' popularity in 1880, fifty different carriers operated one hundred and fourteen journeys each week into Cheltenham; each of them ending at one of ten of the town's
The parcel house before it was rebuilt
inns and hotels. Almost all of them stood on the High Street, stretching from The Shakespeare (now The Shamrock) in the Lower High Street, which is now often referred to as the West End, to The Old Swan in the Strand. Fortunately, both of these still survive, but nearly all the others have disappeared over the years as the town centre has been constantly redeveloped. Not only did these inns provide a convenient drop-off and pick-up point for any passengers, but they provided the carrier with the facilities to park his cart, water and feed his horse and if he had few errands to distract him, enjoy the hospitality of the establishment whilst picking up juicy town gossip. On many occasions, the fact that his horse knew its way home saved the carrier's reputation, even if on the climb to the Cotswolds at Cleeve Hill or above Dowdeswell or up to Seven Springs, the luckless passengers were expected to get out and push! In fact, the carriers' carts were often so overloaded and underpowered that it was quicker to walk anyway. At the beginning of the last century, the wives of the farmers and market gardeners in Bishop's Cleeve more often than not used to walk carrying their eggs, butter, fruit and vegetables to sell in Cheltenham, rather than rely on the carrier's cart. Produce sold, they then walked back. Until the arrival of the Great Western Railway in our area in 1906, it was the country carrier on whom the inhabitants of Bishop's Cleeve, Winchcombe and surrounding villages depended for their link to Cheltenham. I will investigate this in detail in my next article. - David Aldred

“If It Appreciates, Buy It. If It Depreciates, Lease It” Those wise words were said by oil tycoon John Paul Getty: a man who knew something about looking after money. And he’s right. Especially when it comes to cars. If you have half-million plus to buy a Ferrari Dino 246 GTS then, I say, you are wise to make that purchase. For next year you might make £100,000 when you sell it. But if you only have £10,000 to buy a Fiat 500 then I reckon, fun car as it is (I’ve got one), you are mad. Two cars from the same company at polar opposites on the pay-scale, but I advise you to buy the expensive one. For the 500, and any other mass-market car, I advise leasing every time.
Manufacturers and dealers are desperate to shift cars so deals on new ones are phenomenal. When I bought the aforementioned 500 for my daughters, after the “deposit contribution”, the service package, the low RFL fee and the Fiatbacked lease deal were factored in the monthly payments were cheaper than if I had bought a two year old model with 20,000 miles on the clock. Plus I’ve an extra two years before the MOT is due. You get no discounts for cash either. Dealers sell the finance options because they get commission and the repayment risk is passed to the finance firm. A win-win for them. So, keep your money in the bank instead of watching it drain away on what you spend on that car. Mr Getty was right. Collectable cars go up in value, so buy, buy, buy. But production line jelly-moulds? Forget it. Lease every time. By Iain Betson

Home & Interiors Update Your Bathroom for Summer can make a big difference. Think about adding artwork to the walls, too, for colour, pattern and a dramatic focal point.
Give your bathroom an appealing summer makeover with our easy-toachieve tips. A DASH OF PAINT Any room can be updated with a lick of paint, and bathrooms are no different. Choose specially formulated bathroom paint, which provides longlasting protection against condensation and mould. Fresh white looks great in a bathroom, while deeper shades such as charcoal or navy make a striking impact, and mid blues, greens or yellows are fresh and cheery. UPDATE YOUR ACCESSORIES Choose all sorts of fashionable new options for items such as towels, soap dishes, shower curtains, even loo roll holders and toilet seats, from graphic patterns to flamingo designs or marble and copper - little things
REPLACE YOUR TAPS AND WASTES Out-of-date tap styles and scratched wastes are easy for a plumber to replace, but take advice on technical considerations like water pressure and how far taps should project over the basin - then choose functional styles that you love. You could also save on bills by installing watersaving taps and an aerated or low-flow showerhead. CONCEAL CLUTTER The easiest way to create storage space is with a slimline, wall-mounted cupboard (perhaps with a mirror on the door), though other options include racks, rails, shelves and hooks. Matching baskets, rows of glass jars and small wooden crates are pretty and help keep things tidy, while free-standing caddies and towel ladders conveniently hold heaps of stuff. AT THE WINDOW Consider replacing a dull roller blind with something more interesting - Roman blinds, café curtains or wooden louvres or shutters are all good options, or a cheap and instant transformation is possible with frosted adhesive film. ADD A PLANT Houseplants are back in fashion once again, so look for plants

that thrive in damp conditions and are happy with the level of light in your bathroom. Options include peace lilies, English ivy, reeds, palms and Boston ferns. BRING IN MORE LIGHT Mirrors help make your smallest room feel brighter and more spacious, so an oversized mirror will be a statement piece as well as an essential element. Swapping to LED lighting will save money in the long run, and changing the light fittings themselves is a quick job for an electrician if you want alternatives that are good-looking and up-to-date. Remember that they must comply with safety regulations and be certified for use in a damp environment. ATTACK OLD GROUT Try cleaning discoloured grout with proprietary products first, but if the mould or stains won’t shift, buy a special grout rake from a hardware store and carefully remove the old grout to a depth of at least 2mm, then apply new grout. While you’re at it, remove black and mouldy silicone sealant with a sharp knife, then clean and dry the area thoroughly and re-apply new sealant. You’ll need a steady hand for this bit, so take a deep breath before you start, and if in doubt, search for an online video for guidance.

Charity No. 1020941 Email: fobcpa@gmail.com As we move towards the end ofNo. 1020941 Email: fobcpa@gmail.com parents? For us, as adults, these Charity the Summer Term, life is as busy as ever both in school time and for the Friends of BCPA. Our Summer Fete on 1st July is the last fund raising event of the academic year and then at the end of term we hold a party to say ‘Farewell’ to our Year 6 Leavers and celebrate their time at BCPA.
Team Friends meeting new Reception parents at their Welcome meeting
Our Year 6 are proudly wearing their Leavers' hoodies
July is a time of endings and beginnings; our Year 6 students are finishing their years at primary school and while we are sorry to say ‘Goodbye’, it is also exciting to see them all go off to new secondary schools, looking forwards with enthusiasm.
RNLI.org
At the same time, our new Reception children, who will be joining BCPA in September, will be making their class visits this month, getting a first taste of their new life in school. It is time for them to move on from pre-schools and nurseries, their world is about to change. New uniforms and school shoes will be purchased and tried on and will probably be worn ‘just because’ and weeks in advance. School bags and lunch bags are an important new acquisition too and just as exciting when you are 4-5years old! So, our children are facing endings and beginnings but what of our
changes can loom just as large as for our children. Our worlds are changing too. We are saying farewell not just to pre-schools, to primary school or leaving Infants behind as our children move on up to Juniors but also to all the people who have been part of our children’s daily lives. We spend lots of time and energy making sure our children are happy to face these changes, it’s ok to face the fact that we have adjustments to make too. In our childhoods, those 6 week Summer holidays seemed to last for months, now our perceptions have shortened them but for our children they still lie ahead, giving plenty of time before those new beginnings arrive, bringing new routines and adventures. We hope everyone has a great Summer, that we get to enjoy some good weather and that all the new beginnings will find us ready and waiting.
