How to Protect Outlook.com Account With Two-Step Verification Protecting an email account is the first thing each user requires. In this growing threat of cybercrime, it is even said to change passwords frequently.

To set up two-step verification in your Outlook.com Microsoft account:        

If you selected an A phone number, enter your phone number and select Text or Call. If you select Alternate email address, enter an email address (not your Outlook.com address). First, open a web browser and go to Outlook.com from the search bar at the top. A new screen with the Outlook login page is displayed in front of you. Enter the login credentials and tap "Next". When you enter your Outlook account inbox, select your name in the upper right corner of your inbox. From the various options, select the "My Account" option so that you can have your account settings. And then you need to tap the Sign in option after entering the current password. Now, from the navigation menu, choose the "Security" option and continue. Now, from the "Help us protect your account" option, choose what additional security information you want to select.


   

If you choose a phone number, you will receive the verification code to confirm. Therefore, enter the code on the screen and tap "Next". Now enter the password once again and select the option "Two-step verification" and tap it to enable it. Now choose Verify My Identity Option and choose another option for two-step verification. And so, some codes will be emailed to you.
