A change over in the landscape of interior designing As the world turns towards smart living, the field of interior design is also in complete sync with the trends of the modern world. The Internet of things and connecting it with interior design solutions is the way to the future of design. It is important that more and more designers make use of technology to create smart homes and include the use of automation to make sure that clients have a modern and www.theenterpriseworld.com

comfortable environment. One of the most important trends of the modern interior design according to the design pair is the use of sustainable design ideas. While it is important to have aesthetic interiors, it should not be done at the cost of the environment which is why plans should be brought into place to carry out design practices such as making of sustainable furniture, using environment-friendly paint, having rainwater harvesting provisions and use of sanitary ware that spends water cautiously. The Creative Designs The design decisions taken within the powers of A Design Studio are always based on the needs and preferences of the clients. When a client talks they listen and make sure to use the knowledge in the process of planning design. At A
Design Studio nothing is more important than the demands and the choices of their valuable clients. People at A Design Studio find their inspiration from the happy and satisfied demeanour of the people that they work for. When the clients are able to find the designs that they envisaged it becomes the biggest inspiration for them to go on doing the kind of work that they do. At A Design Studio, the only target is to be better with each new project and work in a positive direction to serve their clients. Since they do not work towards leaving the others behind they are able to automatically reach new heights with each project and keep heads above the water in a market where people can easily get overwhelmed by the amount of competition.

After completing my educational qualification, I started my professional career as an Architect with a leading firm in Delhi, in 2003. But I always dreamed to be a master of my own and hence wanted to start my own business. After marriage, my husband Saurabh shifted to Bangalore from Delhi and that is when I got the opportunity to fulfil my dream. I left my job in Delhi and started my own boutique firm in Bangalore in 2006. Initial years were of big struggle as we were in a new city with limited networking and relationships. However, we had the strength that we could provide contemporary solutions with modern designs to our clients at competitive pricing and with a big smile. Service orientation and a commitment to provide full satisfaction to our clients on time and in full was the MANTRA on which we built the foundation stone of our business. Quality was an in-thing in all our dealings and workings all around.

Reaching Heights of Excellence www.theenterpriseworld.com
Ms Jhilmil Vijay Managing Director
21
How were the first few years of your interior designing company? Bangalore was a new city for us with a different language, culture, architectural preferences and a whole new community to explore and win. While it provided its own challenges, I felt that there was a large opportunity for me to create my own space and brand in this fast-growing market. My ability to build relationships, innovate and do a fusion of various cultural architectural styles with modern designs to provide quality costeffective solutions to my clients, on time and in full delivery helped me built up the business in the initial years. My husband, Saurabh. supported me in these efforts by joining me after leaving a highly satisfying career as a Chip designer in the world’s leading MNC. We could build a strong team of likeminded professionals and built a strong “partnership of progress” with our vendors, suppliers, contractors, pear professionals etc. in supporting fields. These things have helped us build a name in the commercial, residential & Industrial design and project execution segment of the market. We have successfully delivered quality commercial, housing complexes, and residential spaces with high-end design, interiors and construction specifications to a large group of clients in and out of Bangalore, all these years. Which was that point that triggered the growth of the company? I started the company in 2006 and my husband-Saurabh was supporting me in my business from day one, even while he was 22
working in an international chip design company in Bangalore. He helped me in networking, project planning and execution in those years. Once I stabilized in the business to a base level with regular clients, he took a bold decision to leave his lucrative career in that MNC and decided to join me fulltime in my Business in 2010. That became the turning point for my Business. Saurabh, with his engineering and chip designing background, is a strong planner and on time implementer. He has strong networking, negotiating skills and is the “TREASURE HOUSE” of the company, raising timely funds for project execution through a network of investors across the country. He has helped me follow a policy where we raise required funds before starting a project-this ensure timely cash flow for our suppliers and service providers and enables us to execute all projects on time and within the cost targets. This has helped me get large international and domestic projects in commercial, hospitality, high end residential and industrial sectors in the last few years, which we have successfully completed and delivered on time. With steady growth in Business, we also built a strong partnership with reputed partners in support services and could also build a strong team of dedicated employees. All these helped us trigger a faster growth of the company post-2010 onwards. How have the company graphs changed since the foundation? Can you share a few statistics? Starting from a small Design firm in 2006, we have steadily grown our business into a complete
Architectural Design, PMC, Interior Design and an Execution company catering to a wide range of reputed international and domestic clients in commercial, residential and industrial segments of the industry. The client base is diverse from high-end residential and villas to commercial, hospitality, clubs, healthcare, educational institutions and extends to large industries. The spectrum of services now ranges from Architecture, Structural, MEP and related services, Project Management, Interior Design and Execution. What is the reason behind your company’s long-standing success? My dream to be a master of my own and do something innovative in the field of Interior Design and Architecture has been the driving force behind our success all these years. This has helped me build a great team of like-minded colleagues and partners in support services and we all collectively work as a TEAM to design and implement any project on time, in full and with high standards of quality. We have maintained a very high degree of TRANSPARENCY in our deals with all our customers and stake orders. Continuous Design innovation is an in-thing and before starting a project, we do extensive discussions with the user group to understand their expectations in terms of preferences, lifestyle, operational functionality/usability, environmental integrity and wellness of the user group. This helps us in designing and implementing a project with speed and in a cost-effective way.
February 2020
A zeal for continuous learning of new concepts of designing and project execution, integrating technology and nature with all our works, ability to continuously DREAM and INNOVATE has helped us keep ourselves ahead of our competitors. Quality is an integral part of our work style and providing timely service to our clients with a 'BIG SMILE’ is the MANTRA of our working. What influenced you to start an Interior Designing Company? During my initial work life, I realized that in the name of designing, most players were providing gaudy architecture, experimenting with furniture, colours and textures only. There was a bigger need for space optimization, understanding the expectation of the user group in terms of their usability, ease of doing work, aesthetics, integration of technology and nature to any design concept and a willingness to experiment with newer materials and concepts of aesthetics based on them. I, being a born rebel, always wanted to dream and experiment with something new, challenging and very different, something which is more customer-centric and www.theenterpriseworld.com
is built around his usability and ease of doing business, has an aesthetic appeal and is nature/technology friendly. With rising standards of living, changing lifestyles, reality, and technology boom and innovation in terms of newer materials, etc., I realized that a company with innovative design solutions will always have an edge over its competitors. These factors motivated me to set us my own design boutique. What are the products/services the company focuses on? How are your services different from those in the market? Artscape is a complete design firm offering comprehensive solutions from Design, Project Management to Final Execution. Artscape, unlike other companies, does not focus on limited selective service but provides a complete spectrum of solutions under one roof-which provides it an edge over its competitors in the market. Artscape’s product basket is spread across Industrial, Commercial and Residential segments of the market. This has helped our clients in getting major benefits in terms of Design Innovation, Resource Optimization, Cost, Quality and Speed of project Implementation.
How do you decide to take the company a step further in terms of your products/services? We strongly believe that while new design concepts are continuously being experimented, the Contemporary styles still dominates the Industry. Clients continue to prefer Vastu designs with a lot of natural lighting and greenery, even in small places. Small spaces are the in thing and there is a continuos need for practical and innovative solutions for small spaces. Utilities are getting designed to cater to this diverse universe of users. Modular construction is becoming popular even in residential premises. The use of improved materials and construction processes are helping faster execution of projects at a lower cost with improved quality and features. Use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Robotics is driving the design and material innovations all around. Effective utilization and optimization of natural resources like renewable energy, water conservation, Green and energy-neutral offices, LEED certifications are the things which are going to drive the architectural industry in coming times.

e all have at least one friend who have posted pictures of Sharjah on social media. We also get jealous by those pictures and plans to visit Sharjah. Here is our special editorial feature that can help you in your tour to Sharjah. Sharjah is the third largest populous and largest emirate in the United Arab Emirates and because of its cultural connection, millions of tourists visit the city. It is the capital of Sharjah Emirate and shares all types of political, cultural ties with the rest of the Emirate. Sharjah is geographically adjacent to Dubai and many people work in Dubai and live in Sharjah, so it can be considered a comfortable suburb. History that creates future Sharjah has a history of years when it was one of the richest cities in the Gulf region. The city had a very small population at that time and its source of income was related to economic activities such as trade, agriculture, hunting, fishing and pearl farming. In the 16th century, the Portuguese conquered the eastern coast. The city became slightly unstable, as the Portuguese conquered the east coast. Forts at Khor Fakkan, Kalba and Dibba were built at his command. Subsequently, the Dutch tried to dominate the region for the same reason. The main triggering point for the growth of city was in the 18th century. The British came to this area and started trading with the Qawasim, the ancestors of the family of Sharjah. Europeans preferred the Gulf and the Red Sea to link the main course of communication between the Mediterranean and India. 26
In the early 18th century, the ruling Qawasim became a strong maritime force in Sharjah and Ras al Khaimah. In 1804, Sultan bin Saqr bin Rashid Al Qasimi became the Sheikh of Sharjah. These ancestors of the current ruler ruled Sharjah for more than 50 years.
the UAE is Arabic, however, English, Hindi and Urdu are also widely spoken in the city. Islam is the official religion, widely practiced by the Emirate. The UAE is liberal about other religions but religious activities that disrupt Islam are not permitted.
The city was the regional base of the British RAF until 1971. The British presence in the city officially ended after the founding of the United Arab Emirates. On December 2, 1971, Sharjah became a founding member of the United Arab Emirates. In 1972, His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi succeeded as King of Sharjah. In the same year, the oil was found at a distance of 3 km and in the Mubarak oil fields near Abu Mausa island. Oil production started two years later, and gas drilling began in the 1990s.

The Sharjah culture
It is a quite famous dish perhaps the most eaten, with an Arabic Roti and lamb or chicken meat. Usually, it contains pickles, fries, tomatoes and garlic sauces and most of the restaurants add a little flair while serving.
Sharjah is known for its commitment to the preservation of art, culture and heritage. In 1998, it was awarded by UNESCO as the cultural capital of the Arab world. The city has become a major centre of education. In addition, it has many museums, parks, an aquarium, an Arabic wildlife centre as well as many modern facilities for visitors. The sale, possession and consumption of alcohol is banned in Sharjah. It is the only emirate that restricted alcohol. The city strictly adheres to the civil laws of the United Arab Emirates (started in 2001). Also, a conservative dress code is required for both men and women.
Head to Sharjah and check out the city’s traditional food. Al Machboos A famous traditional dish of UAE cheese, this special dish includes rice, meat, dried lemons and onions. Seasoned, the meat is cooked and served with a full, meal-filled rice to bring out the flavours. Shawarma
Hummus This dish served with shawarma or pita bread is not a dish, but a big dip. It is also very popular internationally, which is made with gram, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic and some salt. Its unique taste will keep you craving more! Don’t miss the chance to travel to the Middle Eastern city of Sharjah to explore your taste buds and have a fabulous holiday experience.

The client was not in India; the communication totally relied on electronic media. The most difficult part was correspondence over email, explaining design ideas, details, etc. and getting approval of the client. It was a technologybased project as research and understanding of new technologies and incorporating them in design was implemented. Dealing with a large number of agencies as well as designing as per U.S. standards was a strenuous job. Infinity, therefore, completed this mammoth task within the time limit overcoming all the other challenges that headed in a way. MAX ou might be surprised to read the caption of this article. Don’t get confused, this is a slightly different concept to interior design. Minimalistic, more minimalistic design. This is a very important concept in modern times.

minimalistic designing.
Even a small room can be designed very beautifully. Without wasting, in fact without ‘investing’ much amount. There are no such economic levels in the landscape of creativity. What creativity charges you is just a vision and dedication. Every raw and out of use thing also can be turned in the masterpiece with the innovative vision.
The concept of minimalistic design began in the fashion world and then spread to other fields. The root of this concept is cost-friendly design. In simple terms, identify your needs and design them accordingly.
A small house colored with appropriate shades and useful furniture can be a happier place to live than a luxurious bungalow. You might wonder how is it possible! We already have a solution for it. The Minimalistic, more
34
The minimalistic designing concept started in the sixties and seventies. Before that, there was some sense of vast and costly interior decoration.
According to this concept, one must first focus on the essentials of the home while designing the interiors. Doing so will automatically remove unnecessary items from your list. The effect of this concept is also reflected in the design of furniture in the home. In this concept of minimalism, curves, moulding, old-fashioned or classical interior design have no

say in it. Instead, the furniture is designed using vertical horizontal straight lines and simple geometric shapes. The thing about shapes is the same as colors, that’s what we call Minimalistic. Long ago, when this concept was very new, a lot of emphases were placed on black and white colors when designing the concept. It also changed over time, with the use of a few more colors, without pushing the core of the concept as it is now. Now even though it has the potential to use different colors as new art, it is possible to use one or two colors at a time, depending on the concept. Even more important is the original colors. E.g. If a room is made entirely of grey and any part of the furniture is red or similar, then the red color is expected to be the original red color, which is probably best here.
www.theenterpriseworld.com
Minimalistic Interior Designing is basically, ‘I can buy everything’. But I don’t want to fill my house with waste.’ In fact, since the interior is intended to be used with very few items, it is important to have a wealth of ideas that will be used and hence it is important to pass on both the quality and appearance of the items to be used. For this reason, if anyone wants to have a minimalistic interior, it is not as if they think a big reduction in cost. But at the same time, it is also true that the concept of minimalism teaches us to live by our needs. This is the concept that emphasizes design by separating out unnecessary decoration in your home. We are now at such a point that there is no need to tell the differences between design and
decoration to the wise reader. In a nutshell, it is a concept that maintains high tastes, giving the house a clean and tidy even in simplicity. At least that means the interior is done by avoiding the need for furniture, even the use of cool colors and extra flare. These types of interiors are often seen in advertisements on TV, especially if you look at ads related to the bathroom. Last but not least, interior design has the concept of minimalistic, just as there are classical, contemporary and many other concepts and practices. It is important to know about this concept as it is current. Otherwise, there is nothing left-right in other concepts, methods, and minimalistic concepts. Every method is the best in its place!

nterior designers are those who make your dream home happier place to live and workplace more productive. An innovative and creative mind with the help of vast experience helps you to convert the house to a Home. Dezinebox is a bunch of such creative, innovative and experienced people working together to design spaces beautifully. The masterminds behind the growth of Dezinebox are its founders Shweta Deshmukh & Abhijeet Deshmukh. In a candid talk with Shweta Deshmukh, let’s know more about Dezinebox and the interior design landscape. Shweta tells us about Dezinebox, A box full of creative treasures... Dezinebox is a start-up launched by Abhijeet Deshmukh & myself in 2017. Dezinebox provides online design solutions with the ecosystem of product partners and design partners. We curate all the design elements in the form of an innovative online shopping list with a hyperlink to assist the customers for shopping while designing his space online. Everybody in this world wishes to create his or her own dream space. In tier-II &tierIII cities, people have their apprehensions about approaching an architect for a small project. People would not consult an architect for small work, and even an architect would not like to take it up due to the commercials involved. We are precisely trying to bridge this gap!! We have crafted online products like colour consultancy, flooring ideas, lighting ideas, Vastu consultancy, furniture www.theenterpriseworld.com
designing, wall décor ideas ranging from Rs.1000-Rs.7000 per room & designing architecture projects like homes, farmhouse, school, hotels & multiplex. Peperfry, Serge Ferrari, Legrand, Everest, Nitco, Berger, Jaipur Rugs and many more product brands are our product partners. We have many architects and designer registered with us in all major cities of India. A journey with hurdles makes destiny beautiful, here she tells us about the initial challenges they faced… Although I have been practicing as an architect under my firm Shweta Deshmukh & Associates for 10 years it was quiet challenging to work on a start-up! Entrepreneurship is an emotional rollercoaster ride. It every day makes you, breaks you, pulls you, pushes you, takes you high or buries you down, but it keeps you moving ahead hour-by-hour & dayby-day. Starting something disruptive like online design was full of challenges. We took almost a year to build the framework of it and then the website of it. Suddenly one day during our Y Combinator Startup School graduation, we realised we missed it all, and then we dismantled the same framework putting water on our year-long struggle. I remember we build our new strategy, structure and website in the next ten days. It is an enriching experience to speak to almost 5000+ customers till date situated in every nook and corner of our country. We iterated our offerings, pricing, strategy and model and will continue to modify it in the future as well. We feel that the beauty of entrepreneurship & Overall, it’s an incredible journey so far.
Shweta tells us about the first few years of their interior designing company… When we launched Dezinebox in 2017, we could sell only 2 boxes for first six months. We had many expectations when we started off. We didn’t want to disclose our identity, share our contact details and wanted to provide design services. Now when we look back we found it so amateurish. If we don't disclose our identity how would customers trust us to design their spaces? We evolved by making our own mistakes. We restructured our model so many times in last 3 years. It was really tough to sustain through these failures. But we sailed through it. The triggering point for the growth of company in her words… We started steady and slow. After a year we realised by our mistakes and started altering our idea. But it was YC start-up School graduation and Start-up Leadership Program that helped us to identify our minuses. We welcomed all the suggestions put forward by them and executed it. This triggered the growth of Dezinebox. When we asked about the reason behind her company’s longstanding success, she said… As an Architect I am totally in love with my profession! My work gives me immense joy and peace. But when we started working on Dezinebox as a start-up to give online design services, I realised passion is not enough. It also needs lots of technical & practical insight. Abhijeet exactly balances that He is an ex-CITI banker and worked with 37

start-ups as a co-founder in the past. His ever evolving strategies, understanding customers’ demands and requirements, reading market trends for the start-up industry all came together as a complete package for success. We both complement each other perfectly. What influenced you to start an Online Designing Company? This is an era of digitization. Every other day there is a new app or a company launched for some online products. Interiors industry is rapidly evolving online market. If we look at the statistics Interior Designing Industry of India is expected to grow at a CAGR of around 8% from US$ 837 Million in 2017 to US$ 1,138 Million in 2021. I am passionate Architect who was happily running my architectural and interior firm. I had this idea to start a design start-up for online services for a long time in my mind which Abhijeet harmonized with. We provide online design services across the globe. We had created products of services. Our online products are colour consultancy, flooring ideas, lighting ideas, Vastu consultancy, furniture designing, wall décor ideas ranging from Rs.1000-Rs.7000 per room. None of the designers of Architect would give consultancy for such small requirements of clients. We receive all requirements online from the client from any corner of the world. After understanding their requirements, we involve them in the complete design process and then deliver the final product. Our product ecosystem helps us to give a shopping list online. They help our customers execute their projects at a reasonable cost. If some clients, ask for offline services, then we recommend our registered design partner in that particular location. How do you decide to take the company a step further in terms of your services? We wish to create our footprint in all major cities of the world. We
always believed that Dezinebox could serve globally. We began providing services in the middle east & then realized that our ecosystem was not equipped to handle overseas clients then. So, we decided to focus on India. Now, after testing the Indian market, we wish to focus on foreign customers, especially the NRI community. How do you combine beauty and function while designing? We always prioritize functionality over beauty. Once the basic space requirements are addressed, then each area can be enhanced with various design elements. Nature plays a vital role in our designs, and it always reflects through some carved out design niches like cosy green corners or courtyards. We are more sensitive towards the environment and follow sustainability. We strongly feel the material that leaves the least carbon footprints on the environment should be proposed and recommended. earth. Can you please brief us about your professional experience? I have professional experience of 18 years. I worked in Pune for few initial years and then shifted to Mumbai after my marriage. I worked for few architectural firms in internal years. I established my firm Shweta Deshmukh & Associates in 2010. I have worked on variety of Architectural & Interior projects such as weekend homes, resorts, multiplex & mall, farmhouses, bungalows, coworking spaces, incubation hubs, restaurants, luxury residences. Abhijeet had worked with Citi for more than 10 years. He worked with a start-up as a cofounder for a year after that. Also, he is a visiting faculty in various management colleges like Amity University, NMIMS, ITM etc. He is also pursuing his PhD. What are the key achievements of your entrepreneurial journey? I am a jury for ACEtech Design wall and Grandstand Awards for consecutive 3 years. I was conferred with “Exceptional Woman of Excellence” award by Women Economic Forum and All Ladies Leagues in 2017. I received Archid Award by Fortune street in www.theenterpriseworld.com
2019. Our firm received “Most Innovative Firm” award in 2019. My incubation Hub project in Mumbai, was awarded as “Best Coworking Space” in 2019. I was invited as a speaker by WADe Asia to talk on “Architect Building an IT platform. Also, I was featured as “50 Phenomenal Architects”, “Inspiring 50 Architects” “Woman Achiever” “India’s Young Architect & Interior Designer” The team is a backbone of any business, here she says something about her team… We truly believe in growing together. Our team is like our family. If we wish to be rich, then we also need to make our team rich. We encourage and motivate the team by involving them in all important decisions of our company. We don’t believe in cabin culture and there is a lot of trust and faith we have among our team. Is there any special experience with your clients you would like to highlight?
I want to give a context here. When we started two years back, customers never believed us as they couldn’t see us. They couldn’t think how we would design their spaces without going there and without meeting them? So it took us almost two years to earn the trust of our valuable customers. We created a G+3 bungalow of 4300sft at Fatehabad, Hotel & restaurant in Goa, a luxury apartment at Alibag, a Living room in Srinagar and many more, a home at Buldhana, residential interiors in Pune, Jaipur. They all are on the list of our happy customers, and they refer back to us many more now. With the rising technology, the Interior Designing sector has changed over a period of time, Shweta tells us more about it... Have you ever thought of buying furniture online a decade ago? But today we do that! There are no more trade secrets in this industry now. Everything is available online and customers are much more aware and up to date about current trends. They have so many options available online for all products as well as even designers. We are exactly making use of this. We empower our customer’s to execute our online designs. We are giving them DIY solutions.

ome interior acoustics is the science of controlling noise at the home. This includes the minimization of noise transmission from one space to another and the control of the characteristics of sound within spaces themselves.
It can be particularly significant in spaces such as concert halls, recording studios, lecture theatres, and etc., where the quality of sound and its intelligibility are important.
Home interior acoustics is an important consideration in the design, operation, and construction of most buildings, and can have a significant impact on health and

The only way you can add focus to your system and improve clarity is by making your entertainment or living room in tune. No doubt the room in which high-end audio equipment is installed was not specifically designed to listen to music or watch movies. If the room has parallel walls if the room is in a square shape or rectangular shape you may suffer from room modes. Room modes are frequencies at which sound waves in a room resonate, based on the room dimensions. The acoustic modes will “color” the sound, i.e. enhance certain frequencies and dull others. This will, in turn, create peaks and troughs. These can be as much as 6dB difference which is a discernible change. In a room; there are many surfaces that reflect sound. This will clutter and color the music you listen to and make it sound clouded and distorted. There will be direct sound from your speaker and after that there will be indirect sound reflecting from the walls, the February 2020

This is at the mirror point between you and the speakers. The reflection points are on the sidewalls, the ceiling, and the floor. It is called the first reflection because after the direct sound it is the next sound you experience, like an echo. To overcome all the problems one faces while watching movies or listening with family there is the only way, The acoustic treatment. Acoustic treatment may sound like a too expensive or an odd-looking concept than can ruin your interior design idea. Actually, it’s not. Acoustic panels come in all sizes and shapes and even one can customize them according to interior designer’s requirements. In her line of work as a successful Designer & Brand manager with fashion houses such as United Colors of Benetton, Levi’s and Wrangler, she’d come across a need in the market, that she sensed needed to be plugged. She started building on the solution she had identified, in the interior design market. Archana decided to register her company PinkApple, get a rubber stamp and make 4 quilts for a client. And thus began a journey with her first client, Purvankara Builders, from where PinkApple has never looked back. • What were the initial challenges you faced? 1. Abandoning the steady paycheck With a good steady job, good salary it was a tough decision to quit after a very successful corporate career. The only reason I could do it was the passion and love to start something confidently, believing in my success and also wanting to do justice to my newborn baby, by being a hands on mother. 2. Sacrificing personal capital Some entrepreneurs are able to start their ventures relying solely on external funding. That usually means a collection of angel investor contributions, government grants and loans, and results from crowdfunding campaigns. But many entrepreneurs like myself had to only dive into my own bank accounts and personal savings to get things started. Eventually a lot of financial support from parents to be bootstrapped and successful. 3. Relying on cash flow With the CGTME scheme, I managed to start with a 14lac OD ad eventually rise to a 50Lac limit. Even if you have a line of credit, securing a regular cash flow is difficult and stressful. We could position ourselves for a profitable year, but still struggle with the dayto-day necessities if the revenue doesn’t match or exceed costs in a timely manner. Bills can add up quickly, and if you don’t have enough revenue to support your outgoing cash flow, you could run short of money for pay checks or be forced to dip into emergency funds. This is not a 46
good sustainable situation to be in. 4. Donating personal time (and health) An entrepreneur, I took a toll on my health with trying to balance work and two kids. Countless hours doing work to make your company successful, and your remaining hours worrying about what you have or have not done thus far. You will lose sleep, you will miss out on personal time, and you will experience much more stress than usual as being a start-up one ends up doing more than one can chew. The rewards of entrepreneurship often outweigh these personal risks, but I realized I have to be prepared to live this type of lifestyle.

Empowering Local Communities
• How were the first few years of your interior designing company? ‘Crafting a Livelihood’ Propelled by loss of markets, declining skills and difficulty catering to new markets, a large number of artisans have moved to urban centres in search of low, unskilled employment in the industry. To start providing these artisans back with what they are skilled with and enjoy hands on working, the designers at PinkApple work on products, custom interior product lines for clients on bulk orders/ turnkey requirements etc. To keep the passion, smile on their faces and money into their account end of the week going! We have evolved numerous models to support artisans in earning better livelihoods. Harnessing the potential of this

Keep Calm and think out of the box!

February 2020
When we say that someone is very creative, it often comes out that the person has a very good understanding and interest in art. But being creative is not just that. The definition of creativity or creativity is much larger than this. Actually being creative depends on our thinking and there can be many people around us with such out of the box thinking. No one can force anybody to be creative. If someone does so, that can ruin the entire creative process. It is easy and affordable for everyone to be creative. What you need to be creative is just an innovative mind that thinks out of the box. Albert Einstein ones said, “creativity is just an intelligence having fun!” And no one can deny that. Everyone is best in their own field, what makes people unique is their thought process. Here we are bringing you some stages of the creative process. You can easily relate to them.
The preparation stage This is the first step where people try to do something new and prepare their minds accordingly. For this, an attempt is made to gather as much information as possible and every possible thought is thought out. In this effort, knowledge is collected from different people and places from getting books. Our goal in this step is to learn as much as possible so that this information can be helpful in bringing new things to the building.
The incubation stage After gathering information to try something new, we go to the Incubation stage. During this time, we stop all the activities that we started. Here at times, we feel frustrated because success is still not seen. During this period, many people try to divert their attention such as yoga, meditation, sports, walking or resting so that the mind can be relaxed but still the unconscious thought process keeps going in us, due to which our mind after some time Tries to think of something new. But still, we are far away from creativity.
The illumination stage There is such a twist in our lives when we suddenly find a solution to a problem. This is the Illumination stage where the creative idea suddenly comes in our mind and we get the solution. It is also called “eureka experiences”. These thoughts come from the toilet to sleep. Like Percy Spencer got the idea of the microwave while eating chocolate.
The verification stage This is the time of action where we try to test our creative thoughts and work accordingly. If the idea is perfect, then everyone appreciates such a result which works as inspiration for other people. Out of the box, thinking may take a lot of time but definitely, you will end up with some awesome results.
