On the upcoming Saturday, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is set to execute the conclusive maneuver to position India’s Aditya-L1 space probe into a halo orbit, marking the solar space observatory’s ultimate destination approximately 1.5 million kilometers from Earth. The critical orbital adjustment will be accomplished through the activation of a cluster of thrusters, with the operation tentatively scheduled to conclude around 4 pm on the specified day. The Aditya-L1 space probe embarked on its mission on September 2, initiating its trajectory towards the SunEarth Lagrange’s Point 1 (L1) on September 18. This final maneuver on Saturday signifies a significant milestone in the extensive journey of the solar space observatory. Precise calculations to achieve the desired orbit The transition to a halo orbit, characterized by an elliptical path around the Lagrange point, will position Aditya-L1 optimally for its solar observations. Lagrange points, stable regions in space where gravitational forces balance, offer a unique vantage point for scientific observations, allowing the space probe to maintain a relatively constant position relative to the Earth and the Sun.

European supermarkets ditch Pepsi as prices soar

Carrefour, one of France’s major supermarket chains, is set to cease the sale of PepsiCo products due to their increasing costs, marking the latest clash between retailers and suppliers over pricing. The decision will not only affect Carrefour’s stores in France, where notes will be displayed alongside products like Pepsi, 7up, and Lay’s chips, explaining the discontinuation, but it will also extend to Italy, Spain, and Belgium, according to reports from CNN affiliate BFM-TV. The move signifies a heightened effort by Carrefour to exert pressure on some of the world’s largest consumer goods companies to reduce prices, responding to the companies’ consistent price hikes over the past two years, driven by rising energy, commodity, and labor costs. In September, Reuters reported that Carrefour had initiated a “shrinkflation” campaign, warning consumers about reduced product sizes despite sustained or increased prices, even as raw material costs eased. Major Companies have increased their prices Carrefour’s CEO, Alexandre Bompard, has vocalized frustration over the lack of cooperation from consumer goods companies in efforts to lower prices for thousands of staples, despite a decline in raw material costs, according to Reuters. On the other hand, PepsiCo’s CEO, Ramon L. Laguarta, anticipated “higher inflation” during an earnings call in October, indicating that prices would remain elevated throughout the year. Preliminary data released on Thursday revealed a rise in inflation in France to 4.1% in December, up from 3.9% in November. Food inflation, however, saw a slight decrease from 7.7% to 7.1%, as reported by the country’s statistics agency. Notably, other major companies such as Nestlé, Unilever, Coca-Cola, and Procter & Gamble have also increased prices over the past two years, passing on rising costs to consumers. This trend has led to tense negotiations between retailers and consumer goods giants, resulting in some products being temporarily removed from shelves.

The Dr. Mykim Tran Story: A Purposeful Pursuit of Motivation & Triumph

I

n the journey of life, a positive mindset and a clear sense of purpose serve as the guiding stars that illuminate the path to success. Whether in business or personal ventures, the key often lies in the relentless pursuit of self-improvement. However, not everyone may share the same understanding of themselves. For those caught in the relentless cycle of life's hustle, a mentor's wisdom can be the beacon leading to triumph through motivation. This is where motivational speakers come into the picture. These educators inspire and empower individuals through compelling storytelling and impactful messages to achieve personal and professional success. But to choose whose advice to follow wisely, one must carefully consider who they are listening to. Amidst the crowd stands Dr. Mykim Tran, a visionary and the Founder of the Wake-Up Foundation. Dr. Tran's story is not just one of entrepreneurship but a testament to the transformative power of self-belief and personal development. In a world teeming with challenges, her journey unveils the profound impact of embracing failures, understanding the importance of a positive mindset, and discovering one's true purpose in life.

Navigating Passions: From Motivational Speaker to Humanistic Psychologist

humanistic psychology resonated more deeply with her goals, leading her to pursue a Ph.D. in the field.

Driven by a profound desire to enhance the self-confidence, health, and wellness of young individuals, Dr. Tran embarked on her professional journey as a motivational speaker in 2010. Her journey was fueled by a genuine enjoyment of public speaking, a commitment to personal well-being, a triumph over low self-confidence, and an admiration for motivational speakers.

Today, Dr. Tran's career, starting as a motivational speaker, has evolved into that of a humanistic psychologist, scientist, and educator. The establishment of the Wake-Up Foundation wasn't a personal goal but resulted from a friend recognizing her potential to impact the community positively. Even today, Dr. Tran remains receptive to unforeseen opportunities contributing to her development and potential.

While initially pursuing a career as a nutrition and wellness consultant, Dr. Tran recognized the crucial role of motivation in enhancing youths' wellbeing. This realization prompted her to explore psychology, particularly health psychology. However, the discovery of

Transforming Lives Through WakeUp Foundation Inc. Established in March 2013 in Sacramento, California, Wake-Up Foundation Inc. is a non-profit

organization that supports low-income youths by providing tools, workshops, and mentorship for personal transformation, self-esteem, career development, goal setting, and stress management. Through this venture, Dr. Tran aims to address the critical need for individuals to find a sense of belonging and purpose in the evolving societal landscape. To achieve this goal, she ensures the organization's programs align with its mission. However, at Wake-up Foundation, her role extends to facilitating mentorship opportunities for staff, interns, and volunteers within and beyond the organization. She is wholeheartedly dedicated to fostering a collaborative environment where everyone can actively contribute to the foundation's impactful initiatives.

What Sets Wake-Up Foundation Apart Wake-Up Foundation stands out with its unique approach to personal development. For the same, Dr. Tran thoughtfully curated two groundbreaking models.

The Life Success Formula

The Life Purpose Pyramid This model guides individuals in leveraging their passion to make a global impact, fostering a sense of meaning and purpose. What truly sets this approach apart is its distinctive worldwide guidance. Its unique global framework enables individuals to harness their passions for social impact. This stands as a testament to Dr. Tran's commitment to creating a sense of purpose and significance in people's lives.

14 | January 2024

The second model addresses the core of success by integrating science, art, motivation, and mindset. These models redefine how individuals overcome challenges and unlock their full potential by emphasizing the right knowledge, creativity, motivation, and mindset. Dr. Tran believes that while art is the heartbeat of humanity, science forms the backbone of our progress, and the perfect harmony of both is the key to unlocking human potential. This balance fosters a thriving civilization where creativity meets innovation and imagination meets discovery. Keeping this very thought in mind, Dr. Tran designed this formula to offer a comprehensive approach to overcoming challenges and achieving success.

C O V E R S T O RY Milestones of Success While many focus on big achievements, Dr. Tran believes that it's the little wins that drive us. Facing tough times with little support, she took on the challenge of being a motivational speaker. This marked the start of her growth journey, building resilience. Despite underestimating the effort needed, Dr. Tran is proud of her confidence and relentless spirit, ranking this achievement as the first of many. Running the Wake-Up Foundation as Executive Director for over a decade while pursuing master's and Ph.D. programs from 2013 to 2023 is another milestone she's proud of. This dual role transformed the agency and provided Dr. Tran with a platform to apply her education instantly, fostering growth for both the foundation and herself. Her third achievement came with obtaining a Ph.D. in humanistic psychology in July 2022, signifying not just a title but a profound selfdiscovery, clarifying her destined path. Finally, being featured in World Leader magazine's '40 under 40 Emerging Leaders' in 2023 marked the realization of a goal, highlighting Dr. Tran's impactful journey and contributions. Indeed, the small steps of achievements have compounded over the years to shape the woman whom many label successful today. The Art of Bouncing Back from Failures

Success and failure are two sides of the coin, both in life and business. Throughout her years of personal development, Dr. Tran has understood that situations hold no inherent negativity or positivity; it all boils down to mindset. Dr. Tran perceives

She emphasizes heavily on the importance of leaders to equip themselves with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate this paradigm shift successfully. The result of this mindset shift can be a gateway to significant opportunities, as those who adeptly integrate social impact into their business strategies stand to thrive in this evolving landscape. Advice for Young Leaders from the Visionary Herself Dr. Tran believes that to embody the qualities of an ideal leader; one must inspire through actions and exemplify integrity and a commitment to positive impact. Effective communication is equally crucial for leaders, playing a pivotal role in influencing, motivating, and connecting with others and customers. These qualities serve as inspiration both within and beyond the workplace. Her advice to aspiring young business leaders is simple yet profound: trust yourself, take frequent action to test ideas, prioritize daily learning and personal growth, and, most importantly, fear not the prospect of failure. Taking action, even if it leads to loss, holds more value than regretting the decision of not acting at the right time. Rooted in self-trust and continuous learning, this philosophy encourages young entrepreneurs to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, leaving no room for lingering “What If” thoughts. These elements collectively contribute to the success of their vision and mission.

Final Thoughts Today, Dr. Mykim Tran emerges as a visionary, weaving threads of resilience, purpose, and inspiration. From the inception of the Wake-Up Foundation, she has not merely led an organization but a platform for personal development for countless individuals seeking belonging and purpose. Dr. Tran's journey from a motivational speaker to a humanistic psychologist is a testament to the transformative power of selfbelief, navigating setbacks, and a relentless pursuit of a positive mindset. In a world where material gains often measure success, Dr. Tran's story stands as a beacon, highlighting that true triumph lies in the impact one makes on others' lives. Her wisdom transcends conventional boundaries, fostering a community where personal growth is not just a goal but a collective journey. Her thoughts and ideologies inspire people to embrace challenges, cultivate a positive mindset, and discover their true purpose, leaving an indelible mark on the canvas of human potential.

asmania, an island state of Australia, is located 240 kilometers to the south of the Australian mainland. It is separated by the Bass Strait, with the archipelago, containing the southernmost part of the country. It accommodates the surrounding 1000 islands and is the 26th largest island in the world. It is Australia's least populated state with a population of 5,69,825 residents as of December 2021. It constitutes a southern extension of the Great Dividing Range. The state owes its name to the Dutch explorernavigator Abel Janszoon Tasman, who became the first European to discover the island in 1642. Till 1856, the island was known as Van Diemen's Land, named for Anthony Van Diemen, the governor of the Dutch East Indies who had sent Tasman on his voyage of exploration. An alternative settlement was established by Capt. David Collins at a distance of 5 km to the south in 1804 in Sullivans Cove to the western side of Derwent, where the freshwater is available in abundance. This settlement became known as Hobart Town, later shortened as Hobart, which was named after the British Colonial Secretary of that time Lord Hobart. At least, one-fifth of Tasmania is a World Heritage Area. The area which covers 1.58 million hectares includes national parks, marine, and forest reserves. So it is safe to say that 20% of it is a World Heritage Area that extends far South to the Cradle Mountain in the west. Many of the remote destinations that are untouched or unspoiled are accessible only by foot.

Neckace-making is one of the most significant cultural traditions of Tasmanian Aboriginal women. CHRISTM Introduction: Finally, the month of December is here! The "Christmasy feel" is knocking on our hearts as November ends soon. We already are close to Jesus from within, but a spiritual feeling and Him being around us, watching upon us is what we feel. The winter is in full swing bringing in the feel of the festival. Older generations become nostalgic about how their parents used to organize the festival and what was their definition of having fun on Christmas Eve. Relatives, friends, and family members start discussing ways to celebrate this year. In the middle of that discussion, the previous years' celebrations are also discussed. The celebration of Christmas Eve should be a reflection of love and selflessness taught by the savior. The spirit of the festival helps us to soften our hearts. We feel for those in need, enemies are forgiven, old matters are settled with a tearful smile and a tight hug, and the spirit to celebrate reaches new heights. He is there, watching all of it with a smile on His face too, maybe shedding a tear or two. Let the fun and frolic begin.

30 | January 2024

How can you make your

MAS EVE memorable? The traditions and customs: Discussing the traditions puts us in the zone of the festival. All of us have ways to celebrate the said festival. Someone's ways have modernized while some people still celebrate it traditionally. Visiting the church is the most divine feeling ever. All of us become vulnerable when we kneel before Him. We come across a gush of mixed emotions. Calm, emotional, happy, positive, and often we shed a tear without anybody noticing. Some more traditions we follow are: 1. Decorating the Christmas Tree: The fir tree has been used for many years to decorate for thousands of years. The pagans used branches of it to decorate their homes during the winter season, as it made them think of spring to come. The Romans used fir trees to decorate their temples during the festival of Saturnalia, which eventually became Christmas. The Christmas tree idea gained popularity when Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert brought one from Germany in 1841 and placed it in Windsor Castle. GIF Image. A decorated Christmas tree with kids dancing around. 2. Sing Christmas Eve carols: No Christmas is celebrated without the Christmas Eve carols. Be it in the church or at

your place, the joy and the connection you feel with Him is immeasurable. The age-old tradition of caroling is still alive even today. Enjoying the tunes of hymns and carols while being in the vicinity of your loved ones is the vibe all of us crave. 3. Writing a letter to Santa (his reindeer too): Santa and his reindeer, Rudolph, are believed to be traveling the whole world on the sleigh delivering gifts to children. The children too, with their innocence keep carrots for the reindeer, and cookies for Santa to savor. The night before Christmas Eve is the most exciting for kids, and parents and elders too, become kids while witnessing twinkle in the eyes of the children. 4. Spending time with people you Christmas Eve is all about celebrating the festival with the people you love. The inner circle of your family is the people you want to be with and around. We believe the visuals of a family celebrating Christmas Eve relishing baked cookies, the gingerbread house, singing the "family-favorite" carols, and snuggling up in one blanket while watching a Christmas movie is the best kind to rejoice.

The Beginning of a New Era Founded by Hans Wilsdorf, rather than any “Hans Rolex” as any of us would have guessed, in the year 1905, in London. He aimed to make it short and simple, a name that was easy to pronounce in any language. Moreover, the term “Rolex” possessed onomatopoeic qualities, echoing a sound like the winding of a watch. It is practicality shone through, given that the name was compact enough to effortlessly grace the face of any watch. Wilsdorf's profound appreciation for precision timekeeping paved the way for the Rolex watches to surge in popularity in 1910. That pivotal year marked a historic milestone as Rolex became the

inaugural wristwatch to bear the esteemed Swiss certificate of chronometric precision, bestowed by the official Watch Rating Centre in Switzerland. This certification proved transformative, sparking a notable uptick in sales. Ÿ

Empire at sea, both in warfare and commerce. This achievement set the stage for Rolex to establish itself as a provider of mechanical precision coveted by many. Ÿ

In 1914, Wilsdorf further solidified Rolex's reputation by securing a “Class A” Precision Certificate from the Kew Observatory, typically reserved for marine chronometers. This recognition resonated particularly with British customers, who recognized the critical role of accurate timekeeping in the dominance of the British

The brand's ascent to popularity reached new heights with the introduction of the first waterproof watch. Rolex's commitment to innovation, coupled with its timeless design, launched it to the forefront of the luxury watch industry. Since its inception, Rolex has consistently delivered cuttingedge accuracy, solidifying its position as a pioneer in high-end timepieces.

Awareness and Association of Rolex Watches Brand awareness:

Brand association:

As a premier luxury brand, Rolex enjoys widespread recognition among its potential customers. Market and Distribution Strategy I. Marketing Strategy: What sets this brand apart is the impeccable craftsmanship of its watches along with the ingenious marketing strategies. This combination together has propelled it to the pinnacle of global luxury.

Compelling Stories:

Partnerships and Sponsorships:

One of the key strategies lies in the brand's ability to craft a compelling story. Rolex doesn't just sell watches; it sells a lifestyle, an embodiment of success and achievement. Through carefully curated campaigns, Rolex aligns itself with icons of achievement, from explorers conquering the highest peaks. The brand's association with excellence isn't just implied, it's boldly proclaimed through these captivating narratives.

By gracing the wrists of influential personalities, celebrities, and sports icons, Rolex embeds itself in the fabric of success. The brand strategically sponsors events that align with its values, from Formula 1 racing to Wimbledon. These associations are responsible for the enhancement of Rolex's visibility.

Exclusive Distribution:

Digitalizing:

Rolex has also mastered the art of scarcity. By controlling the supply of its watches and releasing limited editions, the brand creates an aura of exclusivity. The scarcity principle fuels desirable Rolex watches into timepieces and coveted artifacts.

The brand's social media presence is a gallery of aspirations, showcasing watches and the experiences they embody. From Instagram to YouTube, Rolex crafts a visual narrative that transcends the tangible, inviting enthusiasts into a world where time is not just measured but lived.

II. Distribution Strategy:

Overcoming Challenges for a Sustainable Future

Distribution is pivotal for any product, and Rolex's strategy distinguishes it from other watchmakers. A Rolex isn't just a watch; it's a rarity. With a limited number of exclusive stores globally, the brand crafts an air of exclusivity. Rolex predominantly distributes through its stores, e-commerce platforms, and select multi-brand outlets. Despite producing around 2000 watches daily, their scarcity amplifies desirability, making each Rolex a coveted emblem of distinction.

Even brands like Rolex face challenges in the pursuit of perfection. Challenges to dethrone the king of watchmaking, challenges like a sudden change of leadership and decline in sales worldwide. Throughout its history, Rolex watches have encountered a series of challenges that have tested its mettle.
