Horze Thermo Tall Boots Being born and raised in PA, we have seen our fair share of cold winters. My time spent living in South FL, well that has seemed to make my blood a bit on the “thin side”. So you can imagine this past winter when I actually had to go out and brave the freezing temps, sleet, ice and snow to do horsey chores - my feet would have been screaming for better boots – that is if they hadn’t been turned into tiny Popsicle sticks… You can bet I was excited when I scored these boots earlier this month; my feet were surely going to be thanking me. Every chance I have got I have been wearing these boots; in puddles shallow and deep, wet/muddy fields and slippery concrete, with socks and without socks. So here is what you need to know:

Soles are definitely non-slip – tried them on a variety of surfaces. You can easily walk out into a muddy field – then back onto slippery concrete without fear of breaking a hip. How about ice though?
Kept my feet nice and toasty in the 50’s – 40’s. But what about when it’s 30’s, 20’s and below?
Seem to be water resistant as they claim feet stayed nice and dry. I have also been testing them in ALL the puddles I can get my feet into – shallow and deep. But will they hold up when the snow gets here?
While style wise the laces are a big minus (unless you’re into that sort of thing) they did help to snug up the boot to help it fit properly. The zipper on the back should come in handy though I have yet to find a real purpose for it yet.
Shipping was fast – ordered them on Sunday and they came the VERY next day. (CT to PA)
Website – takes a bit to get used and sizes are a bit strange as it is a European company – however they do have handy conversion charts.
I do usually take a size 7 however I ordered a 7.5, due to the fact that I would be wearing very thick winter socks. I have experienced blistering above my heal (where the Rubber/nylon muck boot portion meets the insulated part of the boot. Maybe this is because I was so excited I first wore them without socks? Maybe not… Maybe I should not have ordered a ½ size too big? We will see – jury is still out on this one. As I see this as a problem with the comfort factor!
