Explore a one-of-a-kind world. Etsy is an online marketplace where makers can sell their creations to buyers across the globe. From handmade home decor to vintage jewelry and everything in-between, people come to Etsy to support small businesses and discover spectacularly special items perfect for everyone on their list.
Celebrate the holidays at The Etsy Market! Every year Etsy teams gather together to put on local events. Things couldn’t go as planned for 2020, but our sellers are good at getting creative. So they’ve organized this virtual market to help you find some truly great gifts. Explore their unique items, meet the makers, and most importantly, get into the holiday spirit.
The Etsy Mud Team provides a center of community, learning, and promotion for ceramic artists on Etsy. Members make functional wares and sculptures in porcelain, stoneware and earthenware, working on a potter’s wheel, hand building, or casting from original molds. Our unique pottery is made with care, one piece at a time.

“Our Christmas holiday tradition is making a rice porridge on Christmas Eve. For the first course of Christmas eve dinner the dishes are filled with porridge. To one bowl a peeled or blanched almond will be added in the bottom of the bowl. The bowls are mixed up and served. The person that gets the nut in their bowl receives a prize (usually a large chocolate bar). While we are eating the porridge the person that gets the nut usually hides the fact that they got it until after everyone has eaten the porridge, and no one has

For me, creating ceramic art is about much more than the clay alone; it's about the materials I use to hand mix my glazes, the technical aspects of layering glazes and developing firing protocols to achieve unique results, and the way I balance the relationships between form, surface decoration, and function. Like making a good life, crafting handmade ceramics requires mindful attention to every aspect of the process, a respect for the individual characteristics of each material, and an acceptance of the gifts from some oftentimes fickle kiln gods."
