Get Out to ArtOut
Back again with new and returning artists, the LGBTQ Resource Center at the Gulfport Library hosts ArtOut for the very rainbow month of June. Forgoing a traditional reception, the exhibit showcases the work of local queer artists from 10 a.m. on the opening Friday, May 28. Gulfport Public Library, 5501 28th Ave. S. 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Friday, May 28 - Monday, May 31 Music Festival and Volleyball on the Beach
The Postcard Inn rocks the beach with local lineups and volleyball competitions from Friday till Monday. Hit the sand nets by day, and enjoy the bands at night. Monday and Friday are free; buy tickets for the weekend. Postcard Inn on the Beach, 6300 Gulf Boulevard S. 8 a.m.-9 p.m.

Hurricane Seminar
Join Meteorologist Daniel Noah from the National Weather Service for a free public seminar on infamous Florida features, hurricanes. Be prepared, stay informed, spread awareness. Catherine Hickman Theater, 5501 27th Ave. S. 6 p.m.

Warehouse Art Market
Another pop-up art market with beer, wine, live music and local creations. A portion of proceeds will go to a local animal rescue, so bring your own pooch. 7100 30th Ave. N. 6-10 p.m.

Gulfport Pride
Get your rainbow on, Gulfport. For the first time, Gulfport will host its own Pride event around the city, with LGBTQ spirit. Check out page 7 for a full list of festivities. City of Gulfport, 5-9 p.m.
ReadOut Celebrates the Butch Side of Life
