Town Shores Art Guild Exhibit Canceled

The Town Shores Art Guild’s exhibit planned for December at the Catherine Hickman Theater has been canceled. Since March, the theater has been closed due to the pandemic, with tentative plans to start exhibits again in January 2021. Town Shores Clubhouse meeting rooms also remain closed until at least January 2021, so Town Shores Art Guild members are unable to reschedule the event sooner. The Town Shores Art Guild is open to artists from beginner to professional levels – or those who just love art and want to help promote artists. Interested in membership? South Pasadena Commission Wants You

Do you have what it takes to be on the South Pasadena Commission? South Pasadena’s municipal election is Tuesday, March 9, 2021. Voters will pick two commissioners to serve four-year terms. Qualifying starts at noon on Monday, November 2, and ends noon on Monday, November 16. Candidates must have been a resident of the city for at least a year. Operation Santa Needs Little Helpers

For 29 years, Gulfport Police Department employees have sponsored “Operation Santa” to give toys to needy children in Gulfport. Operation Santa is successful in part due to the contributions from residents. This year they are asking for help in the form of monetary donations, new unwrapped toys, and gift cards. It’s been a particularly challenging year for some families and your thoughtfulness will make their holiday. Call 727-893-1097 and leave a message.
