Reckinger, Joseph Mark, 69, died unexpectedly at his home in the first week of December in Gulfport, Florida. Born in Detroit, MI, Joe grew up in Dearborn, MI with his six siblings and parents. He was a loving brother, son, uncle and great uncle and a self-taught artist, photographer, and musician. Joe attended Sacred Heart High and Henry Ford Community College, and then spent his life’s work as a master journeyman in the HVAC Industry where he worked and trained under the family owned HVAC company, and later for large companies in Texas and Florida. Joe took up painting with oil and acrylics and photography, and captured many seascapes across Michigan and Florida. Joe was owner of Mixed-Media Art & Photography where his photos have graced several Gulfport publications. Joe is survived by his siblings Walter (Pete) M. Reckinger III, Suzanne Petricca, Mary Beth Reckinger Weaver, Phil Reckinger and Denise Reckinger along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter M. Reckinger Jr.; mother, Therese L. Reckinger; and brother, Robert M. Reckinger. Services will be arranged later this coming spring for a Catholic Mass Memorial at his home Parish of Sacred Heart, Dearborn Michigan.
