9am—2023 Virtual Weekend Gardener. University of Illinois Extension is offering a FREE (Donations accepted) day of gardening topic talks in a relaxing virtual format. This year’s topics will explore different techniques to create dried flowers (9am) and discuss composting (10am). Sessions include downloadable handouts. 7:30am-12pm—Native by Design: Community Conservation. Enjoy Keynote speaker Ronda Burnett, a community conservation planner with the Missouri Department of Conservation, who will speak on how community conservation planning practices can increase the benefits of nature in cities and decrease the negative impacts of human communities on the natural world. The workshop will also feature presentations from other local and regional speakers. The Leclaire Room at N. O. Well-Being Awareness Week. Join the Therapeutic Horticulture team the week of March 27th to celebrate Well-being Awareness Week. Special activities will take place Wednesday and Friday mornings in the Jack C. Taylor Visitor Center from 10- noon. Learn more about how to engage with nature to improve well-being and information regarding classes led by the Therapeutic Horticulture team.
