BUILDING A NEW Galaxy
Space exploration is fascinating. With improvised technologies, understanding the outer world is becoming fairly possible. How is digitalization backing the space industry?

The world is more than what a naked eye can visualize. Outside our living atmosphere stays elements of extreme uncertainty. Drawing the keen eye of scientists around the world, space exploration has been a new milestone. Jumping to yet another dynamic, space colonization is the intention of many enthusiasts and experts. From minute changes such as the replacement of paper maps with GPS navigation and real-time routing to institutions like NASA transforming digitally, the world is indeed stepping into a brighter future. An expected increase in efficiency and effectiveness of decision making can be credited to Digitalization. Clarity of facts and availability of raw material to achieve more is promoting researchers to utilize their talents to a maximum capacity. System integration is enabling quick data transfer. Digital support increases the chances of prior risk- accessibility in a more accurate, reliable, and manageable way while expanding the information to systems and subsystems resulting in better-planned responses.
Hithertofore, digital transformation is promising strong prospects for exploring the Moon, Mars, and the universe beyond, making mankind understand their universal role better. A recent understanding of the Milky Way galaxy was achieved by NASA astronomer Marc Kuchner and researcher Susan Higashio using virtual reality Techniques. A 3D simulation animated the speed and direction of 4 million stars in the neighborhood of the Milky Way. This technology provided a new perspective regarding the motion of stars. “Rather than look up one database and then another database, why not fly there and look at them all together,” Higashio said.
Over the moon
Quite literally, Astronomers have hiked on the moon and brought backtraces to the Earth. The world is now preparing to land the first woman on the moon in Jeff Bezos ‘Blue origin initiative’ greenlit by NASA. Jeff Bezos’s first rocket made history in space, by flying to space nose first then flying back to Earth tail first, and settling down, upright, as if ready to fly again. The same kept repeating again and again leaving many space enthusiasts in awe. “One day, all rockets will have landing gear,” says Bezos. The aim is to cut the cost of space travel by a large extent. Bezos’s Blue origin is making it possible by reutilizing hardware. No other rockets have been launched twice, while blue origin made it possible not just twice but five times. Bezos believes the Moon to be an ultimate source of tapping into extraterrestrial powers and abilities. The Discovery of ice litters on the poles of the moon’s surface can be utilized as their forming elements hydrogen and oxygen, providing a potential fuel source for further space exploration. “The solar system can support a trillion humans, and then we’d have 1,000 Mozarts and 1,000 Einsteins. Think how incredible and dynamic that civilization will be,” said Bezos.
The new generation should have everything as reachable and in proximity as possible. Amazon is hitting every milestone to reap maximum benefits from the golden
era of space exploration, using accurate and advanced technologies. A vision to achieve dynamic space explosion, just like the era of Digitalization. Innovations in augmented and virtual reality along with cobots- a robot that works in collaboration with humans, is quite extraordinary. New developments are spreading like wildfire with high demands in the space industry. The global market for innovations is set to grow to $7.161 billion by 2025 giving a compound annual growth rate of over 40%.
The Red Planet
Space is not far anymore, where on one hand Bezos plans to take common people on the moon, Elon Musk is making habitation on Mars possible for the public as a permanent self-sustained society by the 2050s. Earlier, private players weren’t playing major bets in the space industry. Since the involvement of private companies, the budget of innovation has hiked, with better technologies and faster adaptations. SpaceX- founded by Elon Musk developed reusable boosters, the most expensive part of Falcon 9 rockets, capable of landing themselves back on Earth. This Technology saves millions of dollars. Another spaceship named Starship is believed to ferry up to 100 people to Mars at a time. The cost will be approximately reduced to $100,000$500,000. Musk believes this price to be “low enough that most people in advanced economies could sell their home on Earth and move to Mars if they want.” Owing to the dynamically improved technologies, AI abilities, and robotic features, the blueprint for future goals is also prepared by SpaceX. Musk is planning to create Earth-like living conditions on Mars by terraforming greenhouse gases in the 2100s.
Turning dreams into reality
Unequivocally Technology is hitting better grounds and expanding in newer, more advanced forms. But space exploration desires more than what is already innovated. Bezos realizes the drawbacks and turndowns that may follow his vast vision. However, with so much untapped potential waiting to be understood, optimized, and applied in the real world, there’s a positive hope to discover desired technologies in the future. Bezos launched a “Club for the Future” to motivate kids to “preserve the Earth and unlock the potential of living and working in space.” 3D printing in space is another new milestone set by ‘Made in Space’- A company that develops off-Earth products. The Technology utilizes ultraviolet laser and UV-curable resin and makes parts via “stereolithography,” with a high degree of accuracy. India achieved the title of ‘Hypersonic’ after successfully launching Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle Technological in 2020. A speed five times the speed of sound was achieved. Satellite communications is a major role taken over by the Digital boom in the space industry. The systems support voice, text, video, and every other form of communication. Exploring the Moon, Missions Mars, and whatnot, India is not far behind in new explorations.
NASA stepped foot into Aeronautical Mobile Aircraft Communication System by developing a digital, wireless airport communications system. It will be a gamechanger for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) staff, providing secure communication channels and shorter wait times. Another amazing development was shoebox-sized robots named Cube rovers functioning as small satellites. The small size will allow researchers and aspiring students to construct a low-cost satellite launch, expanding research activities on the Moon. So much is already happening and blueprints for future projects are prepared to achieve higher successes in space. Digitalization is part of every step, every progress, and every achievement. In the Future, space can be our new home.
