Chapter 19 | Pioneer the Mount of the East In the Philippines

The next logical progression after locating the Garden of Eden in the Sulu Sea would be to find the Mount of the East. We believe we can do this as well though this will not be quite as scientific as the previous. However, the information is compelling and worthy of review. Once you test it, you may well come to the same conclusion. Let’s review a different rendering of Enoch’s sacrifice in the Garden of Eden.

Jubilees 4:25 (Rabi-Kohan Shalomim Y. Halahawi, Ph.D, N.H.T. Min.) And he (Enoch) burnt the incense of the sanctuary, (even) sweet spices acceptable before the Lord on the Mount Qater. [40]

Rabi-Kohan Halahawi, identifies the Mount of the East in Jubilees by name as Mount Qater or Qatar. Why would this be named such? Enoch made smoke sacrifices on this mountain as did Adam upon his exile. Also, in Kabbalah which he may be involved, the highest rung of the Tree of Life is named Keter which is the same word. We do not follow Kabbalah and reject it in every sense but the Hebrew is still Hebrew and useful in this case.

We begin with narrowing down the shape of the Garden of Eden. Logically, we believe the presence of oil pockets in the Sulu Sea will assist in identifying the shape as if there is a deep oil pocket miles deep, then likely the Garden is not found there. We took a map of the oil

deposits around that area and begin to see a clearer picture. In fact, we notice an opening to the East becomes more pronounced which we will explore. The reason is the Mount of the East in order to be both inside the Garden and outside must be on the very Eastern tip of the Garden protruding out even beyond what is the World Ocean today. In ancient times this was a mountain but today we call it an island.

This appears to open up and lead right to Camiguin Island where the tallest summit would be Mt. Hibok Hibok. Could this be Mt. Qatar? Oddly, this is Hebrew yet again and not just any Hebrew but that which bears a very appropriate meaning and not in just one name but both names of this mountain as it has an international name, Mt. CATARman.

How can this possibly be the case? How can Hibok(Hiboch) be a direct and matching Hebrew word which essentially means “sorry” specifically to a man like Adam for instance. In translation, this is Mount Sorry! Sorry! with exclaimation marks even and in the Hebrew definition rendered Hiboch!-Hiboch! Was Adam not embarrassed when he made

an atonement sacrifice on this very mountain named for this purpose. Of course, this is impossible enough until you consider there is a second international name for this same mountain – Mt. Catarman. Catar or Qatar? As in smoke sacrifices? As in the Mount of the East where Ophir migrated and where Adam and Enoch sacrificed?

We are wading in absolutely impossible territory here. A mountain with two names that appear of Hebrew origin both in definition bridging Adam’s first sacrifice of atonement. That is compelling. Also, we mention the antediluvian Mount of the East is not just the tallest summit but the entire island of Camiguin. If you visit this area, you will find it is a true paradise even for the ancients. On Camiguin you find numerous freshwater springs, hot springs and even soda springs (maybe Adam made his own Soda – kidding). It is rich in agriculture and very abundant in what may well be the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil – Lanzones. A sweeter variety of Lanzones for which Camiguin is famous and bears such legend.

In examining the word Camiguin, it originates in etymology in the Philippines as kamagong which is a hard, black wood related to the ebony tree. Somehow the Philippines seems to be omitted from some of the lists of habitats for ebony yet they have an island named for it. We do not find a direct Hebrew etymology for this entire word though Kam is entirely appropriate for the context and Agon is Greek.

Would Adam not get up or rise? He repented the next day. Was he not in agony, conflict, struggle? Did he not atone fighting the good fight of faith? These coalesce. However, when one looks at the fruit of the kamagong tree which is named Mabolo, perhaps this becomes a little clearer and in context.

In terms of the ancient mountain or modern island of Camiguin (kamagong), is this identifying that it is perhaps not an entrance to the Garden of Eden? Or that it is an entrance before time? Or that it is the act of entering before time? It is difficult to know but what is not difficult is to connect the etymology of this word Mabolo to Hebrew once one understands whom Joktan and his sons were as Hebrews and their connection to Israel on multiple levels. Just because the Mount of the East may protrude there from the Garden, does not mean the entrance is there. Perhaps it is elsewhere. We admit, we have not found

the entrance to the Garden nor terrible angels. We even had a viewer named Geni comment on our YouTube stream that “in Leyte, parents warn their disobedient children, “ipapatapon kita sa Mt. Hiboc Hiboc” which in English means to “put into exile on Mt. Hibok Hibok.” Is it yet another coincidence that this tradition has been handed down through the generations that just as Adam was exiled from the Garden to Mt. Sorry Sorry whose purpose is to make smoke sacrifices, so might our misbehaving children be punished there? We have learned much from this exchange as Filipinos have added to our research constantly even steering us in directions at times. Another viewer, Giovanni, commented “been to the top of hibok hibok many times small group of people dwell there amazing that on the top earth is mixed with many kinds of sea shells.. the place is called maitum...black in English.” Does Maitum have possible Hebrew origins as well?

This certainly could have Hebrew roots and we cannot imagine a more appropriate definition as Adam was the first High Priest among men. To some, these Hebrew connections are considered a stretch and we understand their position but realize to entrench oneself there in light of all this overwhelming evidence is no longer supported by logic. If the Philippines is Ophir, there must be a connection to Hebrew and throughout this book, whether you accept every interpretation we offer in that vein or not, one cannot dismiss this link especially with the many direct Hebrew correlations that should cause academia to reconsider the Jesuit etymologies of an incomplete history. Therefore, we believe a logical mapping of the Sulu Sea and Visayas considering oil deposits reasonably leads to the very East of the Garden of Eden as Camiguin Island. This mountain has incredible support in

Hebrew etymologies supporting it as the ancient Mount of the East upon which Adam sacrificed atop and Enoch sacrificed inside of the Garden of Eden. We cannot prove this out in the detail of the case for Ophir but when one piles all the evidence on top, this makes sense. This is Yahuah’s Holy Mountain – The Mount of the East from Genesis 10 and Jubilees. One of His four Holy places on Earth and it is connected to the Garden of Eden where His Holy of Holies resides. This is far more significant than Israel’s temporary one. Instead of migrating to Israel where a Temple no longer stands and His presence no longer resides for certain Feasts, everyone should be visiting the Philippines where His permanent Holy of Holies still exists on Earth. Enoch remains inside at the base of this very mountain – Hiboch! Hiboch!
