Tracing the Nirma girl Twenty five years on, we bump into the girl who spun her way into one of the most iconic ads in Indian television history. Meet the Nirma girl, Mansi Kapadia, who became a household face in the final decade of the last millennium

By Heena Grover Menon

DID YOU KNOW?

@HeenaGM

The original Nirma girl, who still graces the product’s packaging, is none other than the brand owner Karsanbhai Patel’s daughter Nirupama. In fact, the brand name Nirma is inspired by the name Nirupama. However, after her untimely death following an accident, Nirma underwent several rebranding phases. Mansi was the second to become the face of the brand in their TV commercial

I

f you grew up watching Doordarshan before the cable TV era, then the Nirma washing powder commercial is something you would definitely remember. The image of a little girl in a white frock twirling her way into the packet and its jingle caught the attention of the masses. It was an image that left a lasting impression on the viewers’ minds and became synonymous with the brand for over 40 years. Fast forward to over two decades later and the little girl seems to have twirled her way back up from the detergent’s packet. Mansi, who now works as a special education teacher in The Orchid School, Pune, revisits her glorious modelling days and what it was like to be under spotlight constantly. A GLAMOUR CHILD I have a vague memory of how it all began but my mother tells me that I started modelling since I was just two years old. I posed for print as well as TV ads which included baby products, hair care, biscuits, apparels as well as many ramp shows. Both me and my younger brother had become celebrities of sorts when we were children. We were pampered a lot by the agencies. In fact, at one point of time my kid brother, Tejas Kapadia, was the highest paid child model in the 90s. We did numerous ads and shows together. There were many perks of being a child model but I never liked missing school. My mother tells me that, at most times, I behaved very well on the sets, but there were days when I wouldn’t be in the best of mood and would throw tantrums. Then, everyone would then try different ways to make me happy again. They would give me chocolates and goodies so that I would finish my shoots in the way they wanted. I remember one day when after the shoot got

and actors was thrilling. I remember how my other child model friends and I would stand and watch Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jessia in awe for hours. One weekend, I was at a theatre watching a Salman Khan movie when they showed my commercial during the interval and how everyone including myself clapped in joy and immense pride. That memory will always remain etched in my mind.

over we were asked to come back the next day as well. I started crying because I didn’t want to miss my school. Eventually, I began enjoying the limelight while growing up. WHEN NIRMA HAPPENED It was in 1989, my brother and I had just made our portfolios. My mother tells me that every time I saw the Nirma girl spinning in the TV ad, I would also go round and round trying to be like her. I would tell my mother that I also wanted to do the same on TV. Coincidentally, my parents got to know that the brand was looking for a new model to be the face of their commercial. My parents showed my portfolio to Kailash Surendranth, of Far Films, who was a very famous filmmaker in those days. He instantly liked my pictures and signed me as the second Nirma girl. My costume, a white dress, was designed by my mother. The ad became an instant hit and had some of the most sought after models such as Sangeeta Bijlani, Shikha Swaroop, Atul Agnihotri, among others. I was also the face of Mediker Shampoo for the longest period. Sharing the screen and stage space with these well-known models

WHEN THE GIRL IN WHITE GREW UP As I started growing older, the opportunities started getting limited. I was getting assignments that didn’t interest me much and there was a lot of schoolwork-related pressure. This is also the time when I started taking keen interest in psychology as a subject and then got totally engrossed in exploring that side of the world. I now teach children with special needs and live a very different life. Being around these children gives me immense happiness and a sense of belonging. I love travelling and adventure sports a lot and spend my weekends doing something exciting with

friends and colleagues. At the same time, I miss my childhood days as a model a lot. I recently got an opportunity to do a shoot with a popular women’s magazine which brought alive all the fond memories. If given a chance, I would definitely love to be in the limelight again. heena.grover@goldensparrow.com

Taking abhang all over the country

As the Palki makes its way to Pandharpur, Pancham Nishad is working towards introducing abhangs to audiences far beyond the borders of Maharashtra

S

hashi Vyas believes the teaching and lifework of the saints of Maharashtra, such as Tukaram, are just as visionary and profound as the works Kabir, Tulsidas and Meerabai. With this thought in mind, he has set out to popularise abhangs written in praise of Lord Vitthal beyond the boundaries of Maharashtra. “Their work deserves recognition beyond the boundaries of our state. Our aim is to take Maharashtra’s treasure of devotional music to every nook and corner of India. The multi-city tour, held every year, is testimony to the fact that abhangs have a growing pan-India appeal,” says Vyas, who is the director of Pancham Nishad. The group has been organising the Abhangwani devoted to Lord Vitthal for the last decade. “Their ceaseless search for both the physical and intellectual well-being of mankind is beyond measure, and they have had a towering impact on bringing about harmony and unity in society,” Vyas said. Sawani Shende, a gifted young Indian classical vocalist, performed at the opening of the Bolava Vitthal concert series at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch, Pune on July 17. “The rasik audience of Pune enriched the experience further. They are quick to respond to musical nuances and they welcome all styles and forms of music appreciation,” says Sawani, who presented Sant Tukaram’s Bolava Vitthal abhang. Sawani had performed the same abhang at the Sawai Gandharva Mahotsav 2010. In fact, the concert series gets its name from this piece. She also performed the abhang Majhe maher Pandhari, which has been immortalised by none other than Pandit Bhimsen Joshi. “The effervescent accompaniment by Aditya Oak on the harmonium and Sai Banker on tabla amplified the vibrant yet soulful essence of the concert,” Sawani says. The Pune edition of the programme also featured the illustrious Rahul Deshpande and Pandit Jayateerth Mewundi. Sawani has been part of the Abhangwani for the past four years. She is currently also involved as the sole Indian repre-

sentative in a musical collaboration with a team from Switzerland. Besides her father Pandit Sanjeev Shende, Sawani has trained in classical music under her grandmother Kusum Shende of the Kirana Gharana and Veena Sahasrabuddhe of the Gwalior Gharana. “The Pune concert went off splendidly, just like an Abhangwani should. Sawani, Rahul and Jayateerth all performed with great verve and finesse,” Vyas says, adding, “The festival is organised during the 21-day wari pilgrimage from Alandi and Dehu to Pandharpur on the auspicious day of Ashadhi Ekadashi on July 27.” Vyas is the son of celebrated vocalist Padmabhushan Pandit CR Vyas. Since its inception in 1996, Pancham Nishad has staged over 700 cultural events, including over 40 music concerts last year. On its tenth anniversary, after its Pune debut, Bolava Vitthal is being staged at Aurangabad, Nashik, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Thane, Baroda, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, ending in Goa on August 8. Besides the other stalwarts, Shankar Mahadevan is to perform at the Mumbai edition, Omkar Dadarkar at Kolkata, Suresh Wadkar at Thane and Aruna Sairam at Bangalore. There is a profusion of Abhangwani concerts in Maharashtra and Karnataka, but Bolava Vitthal is the only one that travels across Indian states and cities. sudheer.gaikwad@goldensparrow.com

The week that was Palash makes his Bollywood comeback

The man behind the unforgettable songs like Maaeri and Dhoom Pichak Dhoom was in the city recently to promote his film Aisa Yeh Jahaan which released this week. Promising that the film is grounded in realism and highlights numerous social and cultural issues like racism, Palash was more than excited to be in the city. Recollecting his initial visits to Pune, Palash said, “The first time I came to Pune was 30 years ago when I got admission in the Armed Forces Medical College. After that I have been visiting Pune for concerts at Shaniwar Wada and Symbiosis.” I love the support that the city has unfailingly extended towards me, he added. Meeting his fans at Seasons Mall, Hadapsar during the weekend, Palash interacted with his fans and even sang for them.

Kids for a cause Around 25 kids from Clover Highland and other neighbouring housing societies on NIBM Road get together every week to clean the surrounding hills. Shehnaz Chawla initiated the movement called Namaste Pune, which aims to create awareness about a greener and cleaner environment, especially among children. The kids get ready in the morning wearing gloves and masks. They carry garbage bags to collect plastic waste. The idea is to complete the collection process before the municipality garbage truck arrives. “Children are more receptive to change than adults. This is the age they can learn to be responsible. There are children from age 6 to 12 participating in the drive,” says Shehnaz as she talks about the motive of the initiative.

Rescuing city’s strays

By Zainab Kantawala @kantawalazainab

It is very easy to sit back and crib about the deteriorating conditions around us, be it increasing pollution levels, animal abuse, water wastage, and so on. We want the world to change for the better yet we continue to throw garbage on the streets. Th ings aren’t all dark and grey though. A handful of youngsters are, in fact, leading the way because they believe in being the change. They are coming up with innovative ways to restore the environment and do their bit for a better tomorrow.

For the love of nature

Nature Lovers is a student’s environmental group started by Pratik Kela through Facebook. The group works in the field of environment and other social issues. They take up projects like plantation and cleanliness drives, apart from conducting environmental sessions in various schools, organising road rallies to save fuel , serving food to the poor, providing books and stationery to needy children, painting school walls with environmental messages and numerous such activities. “I have always wanted to work towards nature conservation but I did not know what exactly I should do. So, along with some friends, we formed this group and created its Facebook identity too. We got tremendous response from like-minded people,” says Pratik, the 19-year-old founder of the group. The group has 20 active members who work on conservation of ecology and spread public awareness about pollution, deforestation, etc. RAHUL RAUT

The young innovator 16-year-old Viraj Gupchup has created a semi-automatic water pump controller that helps save water and electricity. He designed a device that can be used as a substitute for the water pump controller. The same instrument is available in the market for about Rs 7,000, but Viraj has made his device using scrap material. “I wanted to make a machine that stops the motor pump when the water tank is full and helps save water. The device I made costs only Rs 200 and anyone can make this at home too. I used things like a paint bottle, thread, tube, etc, which are easily available with everyone,” says Viraj. For his innovation Viraj has won the Inspire Award from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. “I had earlier seen the model in the market. But it was expensive. So I thought of making one from whatever material was available at home,” adds the resident of Chinchwad.

Saving the national animal Students from the city are doing their bit to prevent tiger poaching through a technologybased innovation called the Independent AntiPoaching Device (IAPD). The device protects the fast diminishing tiger species from three widely used means of poaching in India - metal traps, electrocution, and poisoning. The concept and team was put together by Shantanu Naidu (25), a working professional, and students Mrinmayi Dalvi (20), Varun

Natu (20) and Anay Kshirsagar (21). “The most novel feature of this device is that once it is mounted on the tiger, it will alert the tiger in case of presence of any of the three threats, without any need for interference or supervision by an official,” explains Shantanu. After eight months of research, which involved studying the tiger’s biology and poaching methods in India, apart from ideation, the IAPD is fi nally ready and

will soon be implemented. “However, the challenge was to communicate IAPD’s detections to the tiger itself. After a thorough study of the geometry of the tiger’s ear and his response to specific sounds and frequencies, a specific frequency was determined, to which the tiger’s ear is extremely alert and sensitive. Th is frequency will be used by the IAPD to communicate the presence of danger to the tiger,” he adds.

Pallavi Gowda loved dogs since she was a child. At an early age, she realised that she could not see her canine friends in pain. This is how her journey towards rescuing homeless and injured dogs from the streets of Pune began. “When I was a six- or seven-year-old, I knew I was crazy about dogs. My pet dog is now four years old and he is my best friend. Whenever I see an injured dog or puppy I immediately take it to a veterinarian,” says Pallavi. The 22-year-old rescues canines from the streets and takes them home until they find a loving family. “I provide an information-exchange platform on Facebook, The platform helps people who are interesting in adopting stray puppies. This way, the puppies get nurtured, while those who adopt meet faithful companions,” Pallavi explains. She ensures that the puppy is going to a home where s/he will be welcomed as a family member and will be loved. “We conduct background checks on families to see if they are genuinely prepared to welcome a puppy in their lives,” she adds. Pallavi has managed to find homes for nearly 10 puppies in last two months itself.

XUVolution A minor facelift and improvements all round make the XUV a compelling SUV in its fifth year of availability By Tushar Burman @tburman

T

he Mahindra XUV5OO has been a success for the company since it came out in 2011. Mahindra’s formula of packing features and extras into a modern platform that looks and rides like nothing else in their lineup has evidently worked: the XUV sold XXX units last year. For 2015, we get tiny visual tweaks including -- you guessed it -- LED daytime running lamps. The 2015 XUV is still substantially the same vehicle as before. The front has been given a slightly different treatment with boomerang-shaped fog lamps in the lower fascia. The bumper shape has been modified accordingly. It’s a look that fans will continue to appreciate, but we’ve always thought that there were too many design details in the XUV as it is. Additionally, only the higher variants of the XUV get these lamps, making the rest of the range look the same as before. The headlamps get LED daytime running light strips and the lamps themselves are projector units with a cornering function that works well at night. The XUV has been around long enough to not attract the attention of a novelty. The new sunset orange colour coupled with the updated front might draw some eyes, however. We tested the top of the line W10 variant,

Interior materials feel good and look handsome

and came away impressed with the sheer amount of gadgets and doo-dads available. There’s a new sunroof on offer that works smoothly and is large enough to peek through (though we don’t recommend anyone do this). Cruise control is present, as is climate control, a touch screen media console with navigation, Bluetooth and USB connectivity. There’s a new design to the 17” alloys on variants that specify them, and new chrome trim in the grille, around the windows and at the tailgate. The feature list continues in this paragraph: there’s a power-adjustable driver’s seat, startstop, push-button start, passive keyless entry, tyre pressure monitoring system, hill descent assist, a neat XUV logo projected on the ground from under the ORVMs (ala Range Rover Evoque), smartphone connectivity with Mahindra’s Blue Sense app and a rear parking camera. The interior sees updates, with a black/beige colour scheme that’s a sure-fire way of making an interio look a bit upmarket. The leather seats are comfortable and the fit and finish seems to be improved over previous models, which suffered some embarrassingly bad construction in places. Having been through a few SUVs in the recent past, the XUV was a pleasant surprise on the move. The commanding driving position coupled by the generally

car-like dynamics of the vehicle mean that at the cost of dynamic ability. On balance, you can hustle it about with ease, despite we’d say the XUV’s ride is good but not its generous proportions. The steering is stellar. We did a 440km round-trip during light at parking pace and weighs up nicely our time with the vehicle and found it very at speed. The gearbox is a bit loose and comfortable and engaging to drive long notchy, but nevertheless easy to manipulate distances. and row through quickly. Across the range of variants, the XUV competes with its own corporate cousin the Scorpio, the Tata Safari Storme, the Renault Duster/Nissan Terrano and there may be some overlap between the upcoming smaller SUVs from Maruti and Hyundai. However, for the price, choice of variants, size and technology, the XUV remains a compelling offering in its fifth year of production. Maserati officially enters India

FEATURES

The Italian luxury carmaker commits to a full lineup in India and will continue to support past customers

W

hile it doesn’t have the recall of its more illustrious corporate cousin - Ferrari, Maserati is in fact an older car brand, and one with an illustrious motorsport history as well. After a disastrous India innings with their former importer, Maserati is now officially in India under their own steam. Operating out of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles India (FCAI) offices in Mumbai, the manufacturer plans to open three dealerships soon in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. They displayed the flagship Quattroporte and the smaller Ghibli sport sedan at the launch, but plan to bring in the entire range, including the GranTurismo sports car and GranCabrio droptop, and significantly, the Levante SUV next year.

India operations for Maserati will be headed by Bojan Jankulovski, who has established the company in five markets across the middle east and south-east Asia in the past two years. Company officials stressed that India after-sales support will be available from inception and inline with global Maserati standards. Training will be provided directly by the Italian fi rm. Last year, Maserati sold 36,500 cars globally. To keep exclusivity intact, their target cap is 75,000 cars. India is likely to contribute significantly to this target. Umberto Cini, Managing Director of Maserati Middle East, India and Africa told TGS that even in past years, Indians have made up 2025% of Maserati customers in the UAE. Maserati expects volumes to be

driven by the Quattroporte sedan. We had to 530hp GTS edition on display, as well as the 275hp diesel V6 Ghibli. Smaller V6 petrols will also be available in the future. The

Ghibli diesel will start at Rs 1.1 crore, the Quattroporte will range between Rs 1.5 to Rs 2.2 crore. The GranTurismo will be priced starting at Rs 1.8 crore, while the

drop-top GranCabrio will start at Rs 2 crore. There will also be hotter motors on offer with more power, and Maserati will also take special orders, if a customer so chooses.

Hyundai launches Creta SUV at Rs 8.59 lac

Shot across the bow of the Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and Suzuki S-Cross

H

yundai reached a milestone in the hype cycle for its new small SUV, the Creta today, with an official launch in New Delhi. The unfortunately named Creta will go up against the Renault Duster and the Nissan Terrano, among vehicles from Mahindra and others that overlap the price range. The Creta is available with three engines – a 121bhp, 1.6-litre petrol a frugal 89bhp, 1.4-litre diesel and a 126bhp, 1.6-litre diesel. The diesel will be available in an automatic variant, something of a rarity in the Indian marketplace. Hyundai claims that over 25% of its 15,000 bookings for the Creta are toward the diesel automatic variant. Manufacturers, take note.

Mahindra launches updated Thar off-roader A minor facelift on the outside, with a significant interior overhaul

T

o the clientele that the Mahindra Thar targets, the vehicle practically sells itself. A soft top, 4x4 and that classic jeep shape is usually enough, even though the experience on the inside was usually a far cry from a modern car. That’s changed somewhat, with Mahindra giving the Thar a goingover inside the cabin. The “new” Thar CRDe retains the basic platform and engine - a 2500cc diesel mill and a gearbox

with 4WD high and low ratios available. Approach and departure angles remain formidable at 44 and 27 degrees respectively and ground clearance is at 200mm. External

changes include new headlamps, bumpers, sidesteps, wheelarches and canopy. The real story is on the inside. The Thar now gets re-designed AC vents, new trim for the steering wheel and doors, cup holders, wider seats, a 12V charging point, a lockable glove box and space for a 2DIN entertainment system. The new Mahindra Thar CRDe starts at Rs 8.03 lac ex-showroom, Mumbai and is available only in select Mahindra showrooms.

There are ten variants on offer by Hyundai, with something for everybody. A large range of prices is available, all the way from 5.59 lac for the base petrol to 13.6 lac for the top-end diesel. Interestingly, the diesel automatic is only available in the SX+ variant, which means you give up side airbags. Thankfully, all variants do get ABS. The manual transmissions are all six-speeds, and the engines should feel familiar to Hyundai drivers.

Dance your stress away

sk professional dancers, and they’ll tell you how movement helps them let off some steam, while the creative stimulation inspires them to initiate new ideas. If you meticulously choreographed performances aren’t your cup of tea think of the last time you let your hair down and moved to the music. Dance, indeed, is a powerful medium to display emotions and, gradually, therapists are turning to Dance Therapy Movement to help counsel people.

Life and Dance The Life and Dance Studio at Kalyani Nagar, is small yet quite overwhelming. Although Nikita Mittal (32) is a physiotherapist by profession,

Pioneers like Marian Chase have been promoting the idea since 1970. The American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA) defines Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) as the psycho therapeutic use of movement as a process that furthers emotional, cognitive, and physical integration in individuals. Dance effects changes in feelings, understanding, physical functioning and behaviour. If you want to experience the thrill while you work on a fitter body, these are a few places worth checking out: salonee.mistry@goldensparrow.com dance was always an underlying passion in her life. While she was conducting physical therapy sessions for children with special needs, Nikita recognised the joy that her dance-based exercises brought to the kids. Having completed her graduation in Physiotherapy from Sancheti Hospital, Pune and a Masters in Dance Movement Therapy from Kinections Institute in Rochester, New York, Nikita decided to dedicate all of her time to help people through dance. “Think of Dance Therapy as meditation. It merely uses dance as a tool to help de-stress and relax along with giving you the ability to express what you cannot put in words,” explains Nikita. Customising every session according to the need of the client is necessary and ultimately the most effective way to get to the root of the problem faced by the individual, she adds. Disha Psychological Counselling Centre

Assuring that any DMT course helps you grow as a person, Shubhangi Kasnis, (44), a resident of Kothrud, has been a DMT student herself for over a decade now. After

getting a certificate from the International Dance Council, Paris, as a dance movement therapist, Shubhangi taught for a while before she once again decided to study and took up another certificate course. “Feeling the need to increase awareness regarding the benefits of dance therapy in every Puneite, I set up the Disha Psychological Counselling Centre and started a DMT programme titled, Nachu Anande,” explains Shubhangi. Concentrating on women across all ages in the city, Shubhangi has been trying to make them more attentive towards their body through creative movements. “DMT helps connect to one’s mind and resolve your own problems using movement,” says Shubhangi. Artsphere When Anubha Doshi, (35), a resident of Kalyani Nagar and owner of Artsphere, started dancing at the age of eight, she did not know that she would take it up as a profession. After completing her graduation in English Literature from Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi, and her Masters in Communication Management from Symbiosis, Pune, Anubha found her true calling in Psychology and Dance Therapy. She trained in therapy under Tripura Kashyap and earned her Arts-Based Therapy Diploma from WCCL Foundation. “I found my meaning and purpose of life in the combination of dance and healing. When I attended workshops while studying, I was amazed at the powerful effect movement had on the people whether they were dancers or not,” says Anubha. Artsphere is accessible to anybody who is interested in creative or curative activities. Anubha has been running Dance Therapy workshops at the space for 10 years now. Her workshops are based on mindfulness and healing perspectives, which add to the strong foundation laid down by The American Dance Therapy Association. Get in touch: http://www.artspherepune.com

Original Movement Therapy Realising that the body-mind connection is something that one tends to miss out on amidst our daily busy schedules, Devika Sekhar, (33), a resident of Bund Garden, decided that city-dwellers needed a change of pace. After completing her training in Movement Psychotherapy from London, she has been using dance as means for therapy since 2010. Conducting running sessions and workshops from her house itself, Devika firmly believes that DMT does not have a specific audience. “DMT is for everybody. Whether you are a dancer or not, an engineer, a housewife, a student, a mother, or a grandmother,” says Devika. This, she considers, to

be the beauty of the art as it moulds itself according to the performer’s needs. While other dance therapy courses in Pune focus on dance solely, Devika uses drama, art, even role play in her sessions. It’s the movement that counts, she believes. Get in touch: http:// originalmovementtherapy.com

etween the rain showers and the sound of clinking beer bottles, Rudraxsha, a Pune-based Hindi Rock band, blended classical notes to the beats of rock music. One simply couldn’t resist head banging to their tunes, and as they played each piece of their creations, the crowd hooted louder, cheering them to push the tempo higher. Gaurav (vocalist), Piyush (keyboardist), Ashish (guitars), Sai (drums and backing vocals), and Devdutta (bassist) completely rocked the stage in their black kurtas and stoles. By the end of the performance, the audience was high on their beats. The boys not just created awesome music but when asked about their partying style, in sync, all of them claimed that the idea of partying to them is their jamming sessions. “There’s no better party than creating music you love,” said Sai, claiming he’s the only juice

consumer in the band. The others promptly pointed to the beer bottles and claimed they’re the beer guys. “A drink or two is good for you,” says Gaurav, just as Devdutta breaks into a smile in total agreement. It was pretty evident that the boys share a strong bond and the result of their friendship was on stage, for everyone to see. When it comes to the actual partying scene for the boys, they prefer to relax. “Listening to good music and lounging in a good ambience is all we need to enjoy an evening,” they said. In the city, High Spirits stays on top of their list for nightouts. Speaking about friendships, we could spot a lot of those in the audience as well. Kiran, Anuja, Rashmi and Ilka took a hold of the front table to make sure they caught every bit of the performance while they had their own moments together. Claiming to like hanging out together when out partying, these ladies seemed to be having a blast in each others’ company.

he is a trained yoga practitioner and international-level Latin dancer and choreographer. That perhaps helps explain the oomph factor. The tall and slender Varsha Rajkhowa is also a model so staying fit is literally her life mantra. The 24-year-old shares her fitness regime: I wake up at 5 am every day and spend at least 15 to 20 minutes meditating. My biggest mantra to stay fit is that one needs to feel fit from within to look it on the outside. The first thing I consume is half-a-litre of warm water ― a must for every fitness enthusiast. I greet my parents with a hug, which I call the hug therapy, and spend the next half hour talking to my sister who lives in Delhi. On days when I’m travelling, I make sure I speak to them over the phone. At 5.30 am, I eat fruits, which usually includes kiwi, orange, melon or apple, to keep myself hydrated at least 20 minutes before getting down to yoga. Many people make the mistake of practicing yoga on an empty stomach, which is actually not recommended. You must have at least one water-based fruit

Atul Kurpe, fitness trainer, Solaris Club Varsha has an impressive workout regime. Although I would suggest she keeps a record of her daily food intake and intensity of workout and balance her schedule accordingly. The time gap between her evening snacks and dinner is quite huge. So I would suggest that she take a snack break in between the time she finishes her gym workout and dance training. This will keep her energetic until the end. There should be at least a 30-minute gap between her dinner and bed time which is essential for a person with such a rigorous routine. I would also suggest that she increase her total rest time.
